I love 24 hour reading vlogs. I am such a slow physical reader, I don't know how you do it!
It’s like my English professor use to tell me in college, “Sometimes the protagonist has to die or have an unhappy ending” We don’t all need HEA in the traditional sense.
Jessica, just wanted to let you know that I watch your videos during the night feedings for my newborn and they make me feel less lonely ( which having a baby during a pandemic and living in the Pacific NW forest- I get lonely from time to time). Watching you is like listening to a friend gab about books!

Glad I can keep you company ❤️❤️❤️ I hope you and your baby are doing well!!
Bridge Kingdom was such a nice surprise. I had no idea when I started it that it would be so good. The angst in the book 2...😍 I highly highly suggest Air Awakens by Elise Kova. I could not put those books down!! It’s a fantasy epic with our heroine, a library book nerd, and a dark brooding prince. Magic all around!!
That is huge pet peeve of mine, covers with cartoon like covers for a serious type book. Those covers should be reserved for ROM-COM's.
Really loved this style! The footman and i has been on my radar. Cant wait to see what u end up rating it
My dad died at age 28 from cancer. In my late teens and early 20's, I was convinced I would die before age 30. I was somewhat of a hypochondriac until I turned 29 and realized that I was at least going to outlive my dad. It was like a huge weight lifted off of me and I don't fear death or cancer like I used to. I'm 34 and still kicking.
Congratulations on completing your masters! Such a great accomplishment

Thank you ☺️
Coming from an infertile woman, I think the friend zone was incredibly hopeful. And to be fair she never did testing to see if she had fertility issues- she was just planning on getting a hysterectomy if I remember correctly. So it's totally plausible that she could have children in the future. I get where your frustration comes from.
Enjoyed this so much! I am reading The Friend Zone now and absolutely loving it.
my girlfriend isn’t really a reader, but we listened to the audio of lady’s guide to celestial mechanics together and we really enjoyed it! i love hearing others’ thoughts of it

That’s great you both loved it!! I’m sad I didn’t get to pick it up for this video, but I will soon!!
Enjoyed your video. 👍 and to answer your question, I don't like it when book covers lead us to believe stories are different then they are. They target the wrong audience and the ppl who would like to read the story usually don't pick it up bc of mislead from the publishers.
YESSSS I love 24 hour reading vlogs. The Footman and I sounds so good and I'm very intrigued by The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms.
I'm glad you liked How to Fail at Flirting. One of my favorite romances this year.

Me too! It was so good!
I echo your sentiments on Abby Jimenez books. I liked the first two, but I did feel that the epilogue in the first book wasn't necessary. I liked that she'd accepted kids weren't in the cards for her and guy was cool with it, so it's weird that now (in Life's Too Short) she has like three more (unless they're adopted??) considering it's usually difficult for women with fibroids to carry babies (my mum had them and I was the only baby she carried to full term). I also def feel you on the cartoon covers. When I see a cover like that, I'm expecting something light-hearted and funny/cute! I remember the title and cover of Meet Cute by Helena Hunting totally duped me bc it actually covered some heavier topics and I wish I'd known that going in to be better prepared. I didn't necessarily need a trigger warning but I wish it would've been noted in the synopsis and maybe Life's Too Short should've done the same (bc it's also a really heavy thing to read about for something set at Christmastime, even though it is realistic). great video, Jess! :)

Yes! Meet Cute was SOOO much more serious than the cover made it out to be!
I absolutely love you. Thanks for being consistent!

Haha I’m always so annoyed the dogs are going to crinkle the pages with their slobber 😂😂
to be fair! in the friendzone the main character was only able to get pregnant once, by accident. they kept trying to have kids of their own for a few more years but they werent able to have anymore. all the other kids they have were either adopted/surrogacy
I haven’t read The Friend Zone, but my frustration is that adoption isn’t often talked about when dealing with infertility. My only daughter is adopted, so it’s VERY frustrating to me when books/movies/shows deal with infertility and then pretend adoption isn’t a thing. 😑
Wow 24 hours reading vlog...... I read life's too short I like it too
Congrats and well done on your reading for 24 hours please stay safe love from your Australia number one fan John
Yes give me that tik tok journey! I'd love you to analyses the ones that went viral etc.
I agree with your comment about covers and synopsis not disclosing things. I remember reading In Five Years and thinking it was a sci-fi romance and it wasn’t at all. It also had a bunch of trigger warnings that triggered me throughout the book 😡

Yes! Especially when that book was marketed specifically as a romance! And it’s not!

I HATE when the conflict relies on miscommunication
Audiobooks at 3X speed. I tried it on Libby and just can’t do it. 1.5X is limit.
My grandfather died at 32 and my dad thought he wouldn’t make it past 32 either for the longest time.
I’m reading friend zone right now 🥲
You were so nice about it, but I will never be reading an Abby Jimenez because of the two book endings you described
Nice vlog.
lmao the tik tok shade
Jess, I asked in your other video about who published and what's the ISBN of the hardcover The Classics of Romance edition of The Flame and the Flower but didn't get a reply. Hopefully you'll see this.
That’s reading hope it was really good oh that goods read 🏳️🌈👌🏾😍🦹🏾♂️🌷😇
Wow #readinggoals lol I can only read 40 pages a day in just one book cause I get sinus headaches
Hey
DAMN IT I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE FIRST
My first book with Abby Jimenez was The Friend Zone and it's the first book I DNF'd in years. I really didn't like the heroine. She was so juvenile, and I started not caring about the story itself. I did skim the ending, but I think I'll be staying away from this author. I know other people really like TFZ, so...just have to read her books to know, I guess.

I read happy ever playlist first and really liked it! I just read lifes too short and really liked it too!! I also really hated the friend zone!!! it was the first book I read where I wanted to punch the heroine in the throat. I would read her other books though!! I really like her other ones.

I feel like I would not be a fan of Abby Jimenez's book....
