When 2102 was built in 1945 it was the end of World War II, At the time it was constructed Japan surrendered at Tokyo bay and the largest conflict in human history ended. The railroads played their part to help the military during the war effort

Thanks for your kind words here, The locomotive 2102 is a WW2 era steam engine used by the Reading RR which used to run between Philadelphia and northern PA. 2102 was built in late 1945 from a 2-8-0 freighter
