    I'm in college and miss teaching so much. The "smart ass" dean made the science program flipped, and the professors are researchers. They can give two shits about our grade versus trying to get a prize. We watch khan academy and professors like you to pass the test and remind us of what good teaching looks like.

    in the hemiacetal reaction with alcohol only one hydrogen of OH group is reacted with the alcohol (OH) and forms water... its like a exchange process of H and CH3... i think u made error on saying... u said hydroxide OH molecule reacts with OH of water which sounds a bit wrong lol

    Does on oxidation of aldehyde will it always give carboxylic acid or group

    It depends, in acidic medium aldehydes are oxidised to carboxylic acid il, but in alkali media it will react to form salt instead.
