It's so interesting - I was wondering why you were finding the show hard to get into when I found it so immediately fascinating, and it turns out we just have completely opposite ways into things. I find plot boring if I haven't connected with the characters over silly nonsense for a while, you get impatient over silly nonsense if there hasn't been any plot yet. Hopefully there's enough of both to balance it out for the both of us!
The story picks up the pace after the Baron becomes a bit more active. You said you've gone up to the seventh episode so i think you already got to that point by now ^^ also, the show will be less like big bang theory and it will shape the characters more

Yeah, I started to get a lot more into the show in episode 6 of season one (Baron's Night Out) and then episode 7 (The Trial) was by far my favorite episode of the first season. It even made me tear up at one point. I've actually seen through episode seven in season 2 and will probably finish the second season next week. I think the show has really its stride starting with season two and I'm much excited to keep watching it now. :) I have the first seven episodes of season one already edited and I'm considering publishing them all now on Patreon instead of dripping them out one week early.

The trial also has cameos of the vampires from the original what we do in the shadows movie :D

@Mothified I haven't seen the original movie, but I did know that one of them was in it. I mentioned it in the episode, but it was one of the things that got cut in the shortened version for KZread. I'm planning on reacting to the movie once I finish season 3. :)
