I freaking LOVED that video before the music was added. You were such a breath of fresh air, so calm and down to earth and easy to listen to and learn from. I can’t deal with loud, bubbly, in your face, high energy influencers, I can’t even get through their videos TO learn anything because their personality grates on my nerves. Omg Sylvia, I think I was already a follower when this original video was released...i do appreciate all the knowledge that you share. I always liked doing stuff to my hair and your videos where so helpful to understand why something did or not work when trying to do something on my own hair. You and my own stylist were always open to share knowledge and inspired me to become a cosmetologist. She is still my stylist. Although I currently don't do hair for a living I really enjoyed learning everything in school about hair and skin and some of the information I already knew from your videos. Hi what is the steps that I would take to permanent colour white root regrowth and then tone the mid and lengths . Would I 1. Do roots and then then wash it out and then tone everything as that would be easy 😊 or 2. Do roots then add toner whilst roots are developing ? Thxxx

I remember because I was still living in my old condo and I KZreadd something like “highlights at home” up popped your video and I’ve been with you ever since. While I do now professionally highlight my hair every 8 weeks, your video helped me do it on my own, countless times. I actually have my next appt on Tuesday, but man would I love if you could get your hands on my hair lol I just know I’d get the most beautiful result. In your linked video you said if you are the level you want but still have orange what you want to do is use Semi or Demi permanent hair color (10 vol or less) to last longer rather than toner. Isn't toner a semi-permanent? What is exact difference? THANK YOU!

I did the same! Then I used a couple of toners and went too ashy! super great info on beginning shades, and explanations on the color wheel helped me understand how to get back to icy blonde♡

@Nick upspeak is the Kardashian language. It's learned dear one...a learned behavior. I'm a clinical therapist with a minor in linguistics. I run and live on a farm. Far from "uppity" which is what I avoid with upspeak.

A clarifying treatment is the best way to remove too much toner pigment. Sometimes it could also just be unbalanced color and simply adding a golden toner will do the trick.

@@sandym6205 just be careful as a blonde if your hair has some blue tones since a golden toner will turn you green! I think Silvia was meaning that a golden based toner can restore the warmth and brightness to drab hair that isn't reflecting light...but you definitely don't want to just slap on some 10G right on top of a blonde that's too ash/blue-based. Like Silvia said, I highly recommend clarifying shampoo (and also maybe Malibu C Crystal Gel under heat) to strip the canvas down first for optimal accuracy.
