Game has some creative decision compering to book. Despite famous two swords of Witcher. They never actually carried them together. But he do in game for gameplay reasons. In the actual story, Gerald usually used regular Iron Long Sword. But he did have second silver blade tied to horse. It was used rarely, only against specific magic based monsters. Due to material it most likely look more like Carolingian Broad Sword. It was not particularly handy to use.

@@elzbietabetlej4085 I like the books more too, and you appreciate all the games even more when you catch all the little references to the books. The games are written in a way, that the story takes place after the books (IIRC, action of the first game starts 5 years after the last book), so it's a mix between continuation and adaptation, as games take a lot from the source material, including parts of stories.

She was a vampire. Geralt drank a potion, that made his blood like acid, so when she bit him, it weakened her. You can also see his medalion vibrating. A witcher's medalion reacts to monsters and magic. Geralt is a witcher, a mutated monster killer. Witchers can also use signs, very simple type of magic. The wold is a sign of a witcher's school of a wolf. There is also a school of a bear and a cat :) You should play the game. The Witcher: The Wild Hunt is the third part in the game series :) Comment for stats

The games, especially Witcher 3, are just marvelous! You can watch/play and always find something new, a deeper meaning, a symbolism, etc. The first trailer alludes to "Witcher 3: Blood and Wine" which is my personal favorite of all the games in this universe. The trailer is somewhat of a continuation (or is the closure of one plot) of "Blood and Wine" ;) EDIT: I am itching to explain everything, but I will not spoil this for you ;)

1:43: Witchers have a ton of potions and elixirs they can use. Only a few are named in the book canon, and it's stated that they are toxic, potentially lethally so, to normal humans. 3:03: A Sign. It's a bastardized form of magic, not dissimilar to D&D's cantrips. Witchers can use them in combat to limited effect - in this case, the telekinetic blast was the Aard sign, while the shield that appeared earlier was the product of the Quen sign. 6:52: It's the Wolf School medallion. There are three canon Witcher schools in the novels - Wolf, Cat and Griffin. The games added Bear, Viper and Manticore. Each School has a medallion that represents its totem animal, reacts to magic and potentially is a focus for the casting of Signs. 7:15: Read the story collections first, The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny. That largely sets up the world. The following five-novel saga is very much "mileage may vary" And yes, you should check out the game. It handles the morality of the player's choices quite well, and some of them have consequences waaay further into the game.

We Poles also are a huge fans of German game Gothic and many of us awaits gothic remake that was supposed to celebrate 20th anniversary of the game. this game was one of the first with 3d effects, the plot is awesome and everyone is in love still in gothic ;)

Yaeah. Chris, you definetely should try Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. These are icons of Polish gamedev.

Witchers have a whole range of potions - from healing to ones improving resistance and perfomance (endurance, speed, strength, or senses) or regenration, which they usually drink depending uponthe kind of enemy they're facing. Here - a blood-drinking enemy, hence the potion to make blood acidic and thus weakening the enemy in case of bites. They also use severak kinds of powder-base projectiles ("bombs") that also have various effects, and finally five basic spells they call "signs" (that might be very well similar to Jedis' use of force)

Dude, literally one of the greatest adventures human can experience stands in front of you. I can't say how much I'd give to be able to experience Witcher once again the way I did when I red the books for the first time and played the games for the first time. Go for the books for sure, they are fantastic, complex with many great characters.

@@szyszunia6620 Czuje wielką kupę. Ghotic miał bardzo specyficzną mechanikę, która z jednej strony była genialna. Ale z drugiej nie bardzo wpisuje się w oczekiwania współczesnych graczy. Znając życie zrobią Slasher, bez krzty klimatu oryginału.

She's a bruxa, type of vampire in Witcher universe. Geralt from Rivia -the Witcher got a contract to kill her. Before fight he drank a potion called "black blood" (if I'm right), it weaks vampires and deals them damage, he used a type of bomb go see her. When she attacked him, she sucked his blood with potion which weakened her at let Geralt kill her. What I'm going to tell is that Witcher game series is one of the best series ever created, and also books are worth to read

The books are amazing. They contain so many legends. The game itself is a great job. It wouldn't be possible without an amazing story

I wish I've never played it, so that I could play it again for the first time. This game is a masterpiece.

The Witcher 3 win more then 260 "game of the year" awards. By 2021, it was the most awarded game in the world. For 6 years, no one in the world was able to break this record.

Thing Geralt was shooting was AARD, A part of lesser magic that Witchers lerned. This what you called mask its a medalion. It magical and its vibrating when something strange / magical is near. Thing Geralt drank was a elixir, in this situation elixir for vampires. To fully understand what is going on, you need to read books. Then when you play games You've no need to ask anything.

I think this is a game that everyone should play at least once in their life. It's an amazing experience.

0:51 yes, at this moment it was real actress (Zsuzsanna Rácz). Btw: There is also polish TV serie "Wiedzmin" (Witcher). I really recommend you to watch it. It has not so good special effects (like Netflix adaptation with Henry Cavill), but it is very accurate to the story of original book and it is pure of political correctness. For all I know several years ago this film was translated for some german TV station, so you should not have problems to find it in german version.

Curious fact about the game is that you can get superpower called "pierogi" which enables you to regain health points by eating food.

We loved this game so much that we created Gothic machinima very often, as well as probably the best mod for this game of any created "The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos". The Polish modification won the 20th Mod of the Year in 2021. The modification is free, you only need to own the game Gothic 2. Have you also played Gothic? If so, did you enjoy it?

There is a reference to the second trailer in some in-game dialogue.

Geralt drank the poison knowing he would probably survive and the bruxa (a female higher vampire) would bite him and drink his blood. His plan worked and he poisoned her but he took a dangerous risk. If you haven't played the game you should, it is one of the best ever made. CD Project Red, a small Polish group of about a dozen developers, made this amazing game. Worth checking out.

"Trailer 1" came way way later, with the last dlc to the game 2016 "Trailer 2" came i belive before game lauched 2015

CD Projekt Red is a Polish computer game developer, in my opinion one of the best, comparable to the likes of Ubisoft. And the game "The Witcher" (the entire trilogy) is a real masterpiece. To understand this trailer well, it is good to play the previous parts of "The Witcher" or read the books. From them we will learn about swords, potions, signs (magic), and monsters (Bruxa in this case, if I'm not mistaken. According to novels and games, Bruxa is a type of lower vampire ;) ). Chris, a little curiosity for you - Cyberpunk 2077 is also a Polish game (i.e. a game written by Polish creators) ;)

Ghotic by Piranha Bytes is also a must-have item

the game even after 10 years or the previous parts, which are even older, are so iconic you have so many choices on how to behave and they decide how your game will progress, the NPC conversations are entertaining as well as the characters' statements, the entire series is the best A title I have ever played, I recommend it to many Poles people are very disappointed with the Netflix series because it is not similar to the book or the game, they remade what was the best

From Polish legendary productions on YT, I suggest paying attention to: Katedra (The Cathedral) by Tomasz Bagiński (with the music of Adam Rosiak being a must).

I'm not sure if you know the difference between cinematic trailer and actual gameplay trailer. Cinematic is like it says - cinematic, made specifically like a film just to watch it like a film, maybe tell some story, actual game doesn't look like that. They probably wouldn't be able to make game so good looking to work on any PC in at least 60fps and it would take much more time to make animations so clean, textures and world so precise and beautiful. For example look at Starcraft 2 trailers and actual game and you will probably see the difference more clearly.

I spent 300 hours playing on Witcher 3. It was a start to universe. Then i started reading a Sapkowski books. You should try. It’s amazing story.

U should play it, maybe even on live stream - And actually Gothic series(from German company Piranha Bytes) was inspiration gameplay wise for Witcher 3 developers(Story wise was of course books from Andrzej Sapkowski, because whole Witcher series is based on that fantasy books from 1993(there was short stories maked in 1986) but Witcher was mostly known from games even for Polish people, oh and just don't watch that netflix Witcher xD)

The Witcher 3 was released in 2015, it went by quickly.

As for the games, the plot presented in the game trilogy takes place 5 years after the events of the books. I highly recommend both, especially since The Witcher 1 was created at a time of huge hype for Gothic. Story-wise, it's the best game I've ever played. As for your work, I must admit that Poles are a very complex nation. History has not spared us. If you experience Polish culture and get excited about it - I guarantee that thanks to the Polish audience you will feed your family through AdSense xd

this video is not made on the game engine. it is a pre-rendered cinematic. The game is also very nice, but definitely not that nice. I think it's only Unreal Engine 5 that can handle this kind of real-time quality.

Seeing you gushing about the animation I kind of want to see you react to Astartes (a short animated fan series set in Warhammer 40k), even though it has nothing to do with Poland.

There is no answer to 'should I install Witcher 3?' other than 'do it now'.

Play this game, try it! I'm still playing it, there is a lot to do in this game, a lot of side and secret missions. Explore this game, don't just do the main quest.

Play it. You gonna love it so much you wont be able to quit it. I play it for the 39th time now and im going for 40 after that then i might quit it.

The best game ever made. Based on one of the best book series ever written. Read the books, play the games, understand why you should hate Natflix. The Witcher is a life changing experience and one of the best things you can experience to entertain yourself.
