Not only was this Punch-to-the-face song the opener at this show, they also did Poet & The Pendulum, Ghost Love Score, and a long version of The Greatest Show on Earth. Thats about an hour of music in just four songs. Keep exploring Nightwish.

Is The Greatest Show on Earth good? I dare say it is one of the most amazing pieces of music ever created. When you decide to watch this 20+ minute masterpiece, be sure to do a little research on the song, since knowing what it is about will make it that much more enjoyable. They closed the show with this when I saw them a few month back, and I still have tears in my eyes!

Emppu and Tuomas dueling is always face-melting!

try the High Hopes video from the 2005 End of an Era concert. it is a Pink Floyd tribute song featuring Marko, the bassist, doing lead vocals. it's 'softer' but damn those boys go hard!!

The Greatest Metal or any Band and female vocalist in the World !

Marko creates such seamless high-harmonies w Floor that sometimes you can't tell there are 2 voices! I know...the guitar/keyboard battle is insane!

The spoken intro is voiced by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins. You will hear him again on Weak Fantasy and that 11th song, The Greatest Show On Earth. And Yes, TGSOE is good, one of their best. 2 recommended great live versions to choose from, Tampere 2015 or this Wembley 2015 show. A few differences, but both are awesome. Tuomas and Emppu's keyboard/guitar duel in this song was ,I believe, their first one in like 15 years at that point. The 'Beautiful' in the song title is referring to nature and the world itself.

This is like a freaking freight train during the whole song. Welcome to Nightwish. Every song you hear becomes your favorite!

That heavy chanting from the audience is the Nightwish army in action. Imagine the power that must of felt. Imagine being challenged to war and you said yup hears my ARMY and you heard that coming...enough to send chills.

The next song from this concert is "Yours An Empty Hope" you will get a growling Floor!

That “clank” sound you’re talking about, is meant to simulate the striking of a hammer on an anvil, at least in classical music that’s typically what it’s doing. It’s produced in most orchestra recordings by one of the percussionists giving an almighty whack with a small metal mallet onto an old brake drum. One of my favorite sounds in classical music if I’m being honest. It’s got so much weight and finality to it. This song has got to be one of the greatest concert openers ever recorded. When it gets to that orchestral break in the middle, that crowd is in an absolute frenzy, and if she wanted to, Floor could have commanded those people to go out and ransack London like a Viking horde of old… and they would have done it. She had them eating out of the palm of her hands to an extent I don’t think I’ve ever seen from anybody other than Freddy Mercury singing with the crowd at Live Aid.

This is my absolute favorite. Especially the middle part belongs to the group of the most awe inducing moments ever in music history. This is also one of the extremly rare cases, when I love the studio version even more than the live one. Because you can hear this absolutely brutal guitar riff more clearly and also all the other beautiful voices and instruments. But the energy in the live version is almost impossible to top.

And 12.500 people in Wembley Arena went from zero to lightspeed in seconds!!! (I was there😁)

Actually, Troy has recorded many songs with Nightwish as a guest musician since 2009. He became an official member of the band same as Floor... June 2013. 😊❤🤘🤘

I don't know how many times have I watched this song. This is like a soundtrack to a "Goku: Give me your energy!" moment. Floor stokes the audience like old locomotive's boiler.

You can really tell Tuomas and Emppu have been playing together since they were teen-agers. :) Marko recently gave an ingerview to a site called Kaaoszine about why he stepped down from Nightwish and sort of downsized a lot. I tried to link it in your comments, because I forgot KZread doesn’t take kindly to external links and the comment got deleted immediately. One interesting bit was the information that Marko and Tarja are now in friendly terms again. It made me happy to hear that.

Nightwish have always been a great live band and this is taken from the first album with Floor as the lead vocalist so Tuomas has stretched the vocals to test her limits. He hasn't got there yet but two amazing songs at this Wembley 2015 concert, The Poet And The Pendulum with his latest epic song The Greatest Show On Earth to finish.

NIghtwish, anytime, anywhere, pick any concert you were not at and just dream of what might have been. The setlist to 2015 Wembley concert was unique indeed, TPATP, GLS and TGSOE!!!!

This is one of three great openings from them ("Dark Chest Of Wonders", "Shudder Before The Beautiful" and now "Music" intro followed by "Noise" ). Shudder before the Beautiful is referring to the amazement and wonder we (The Travelers) should all feel regarding the natural world. It is all around us including the solar system and universe, which we are all a part of while traveling amongst the stars on this small spec of blue. At the same Concert at Wembley : "Yours An Empty Hope" MUST HAPPEN !!!!! NWSU 🤘😎🤘.

Yes, you definitely want to check out The Greatest Show on Earth live eventually. Fans are split on which one. If you're a big Dawkins fan, then you may prefer the Wembley show's performance. If you don't really care about Dawkins then you might prefer the Tampere performance because it has something very special in it that Wembley doesn't because Tampere is outdoors.

This song is like a fast train that makes a stop somewhere and after a short pause takes of like rocket again.

One of the things I love about this is Floor's opening - the "Awake Ocean born" is in her gorgeous lower register. Superb. The slow songs are just as good, maybe that comes with age 😆 BTW, you seem to have cut all their heads off! Marco called this his biggest concert yet.

I even prefer this opener to Wacken's Dark Chest of wonders...which also great!

Great Reaction! This song seems to get lost in other popular songs like Ghost Love Score, Storytime, Romanticide and Yours is an Empty Hope, but it is one of my favorites and a great opening song. If you want to hear more of Marco (the bass player) singing and a jamming song, try Ghost River. Marco sings all of the chorus psrts.

I'm surprised you haven't checked out Romanticide from the Wacken 2013 show. It's one of Nightwish's harder songs. It has a short but great drum solo part towards the end and some really awesome vocal back and forth between Floor and Marco. Also so far (I've watched most but not all your NW reactions) you haven't seen anything with the full band. You did one video where it was just Troy and Floor. Check out I Want My Tears Back from the 2018 Buenos Aires concert.

If you're not doing some head hanging to this song....I don't know why you're even listening to Nightwish! The "Dual" between Tuomas ( keyboards ) and Emppu is so darn cool! ( and I have heard other reactors say that Emppu is only a mediocre guitar player! ) You also need to listen to the guys in the band perform a tribute to Pink Floyd, performing "High Hopes".... Marko, the bass guitar player sings lead vocals! Emppu shows off some mad skills in his solo!!

Jukka (pronounced you-ka) was he original drummer. He had severe insomnia so had to step down. He hand picked his own replacement Kai. Jukka is still involved with the band but doesn't record or perform with them.

Okay I don't think I'm going out on a limb when I say this but this concert is going to be your favorite I thought it when I first started watching your reactions first of all I love the album endless forms most beautiful I just think it's one of their best albums in my opinion and I know that night was just going to be back at Wembley arena I think sometime in the not-too-distant future but it might be in the spring I have to look lol but I someone else said the next song is killer it's very heavy and yeah don't do greatest show on Earth but I'm going to put my vote in for right now my vote would be for the Tampere show because it's outside I like the ambience better that's just me I don't think that song was made to do inside because it's so Grand and epic
