I found Morissette back in June and she is now one of my favorites. Some others for you to check out: Fly Like A Bird, a Mariah Carey cover that she did with Adonis Tabanda and Kiko Salazar. Rise Up. There are two versions. One that she did by herself on the wish bus, and an acapella version she did with a group called 3rd Avenue. Most people who have reacted to both prefer the acapella version, especially the vocal coaches, and I agree with them. Also look up her Stages Sessions where she did a few songs, including one called Defying Gravity. The first two I mentioned are on her KZread channel, and it's worth subscribing to.

Rockin' the mullet, bud ;) She has incredible breath control...and sitting down, too! She went from that long belt into that first whistle without even taking a breath. Astonishing.

Great review. She has a natural God given talent. Little to no professional training. She's a swiss army knife with her vocals. But not only that, she has a rich, round tone that doesn't pierce your ears when they go higher --i'm not talking about whistle notes. I just mean her high notes, they don't thin out to a shrill the way most singers do. She makes you FEEL the song aka she's got soul! You're just scratching the surface. You have more to uncover. Lots of people do compare her to Mariah Carey.
