Yes sir 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Sean man your have a killer ear bro wow.
Hi Sean. As a beginner auditing your reaction, I believe I get it. Playing licks and runs by transcription and/or by rote is different from playing licks and runs that flow out of the spirit of a skilled musician who knows and applies theory. It's much like a singer learning the riffs and runs of a song. It's a good practice to keep the song "sincere" or "pure" so to speak; but once the song rests in the spirit of the new singer, new riffs and runs or ad lib take place and stamps the song with the new singer's signature. Also, as you pointed out. the chord was omitted when that point of the song came around again giving credence to the spontaneity of the musician's flow with the song.
Amazing
@15:48 when he called out the notes without touching the keys! 😲😳🧐

@@SeanWilsonPiano yeah, when you break it down it doesn't seem as intimidating. I think the point you made regarding reference is important because when I hear highly advanced musicians like yourself and Dawson I tend to get overwhelmed. It's about practice and experience and not memorizing licks. Understanding concepts is more important for later reference.
Loren Dawson is using the MKS-20 module. In today's Sunday service, I used that same module using that exact same sound.
