Every song on here is so good!! Also, I never expected Xtina to be singing a ranchera!! The woman bodies ANY genre! I really hope this album is a commercial success for her because she really deserves it. Though I feel like even though she's a great singer, her popularity isn't what it used to be.

@@TreMcLeod_ No worries, you were right. A ranchera is a type of mariachi song. There are many; rancheras, corridos, cumbias, boleros, baladas(ballads), sones, huapangos, jarabes, danzones, joropos, pasodobles, marches, polkas, waltzes & chotís.

Trey, thank you for this! This EP has some of the most well-produced songs Christina has ever recorded, and this is just the first chapter! I’m excited to hear where the rest of the project takes us. It definitely has the potential to become one of her best albums along with Stripped, Back to Basics, and Bionic. The highlight track for me was La Reina. There no doubt Christina can sing anything, BUT a mariachi/ranchera…I never imagined it! Her voice suits that genre so well and I want to hear more of it!

Yaass! I've been waiting for this reaction! La Reina had me tearing up despite not understanding a single word lol. It was even funnier when I found out that I teared up when she sang "I cried and I cried and I cried". Her voice is just extraordinarily emotive. My least favourite is definitely Como Yo but it's also the one I can't seem to get out of my head lol. I've already caught myself humming "Como, Como Yo" several times today. I think it may be more popular with English speakers than with Spanish speakers because the lyrics are the weakest part of the song; they're just so repetitive. Hey Tre, I was wondering why you didn't react to Somos Nada and now that you explained it I really respect you for your honest opinion on the song. I didn't like it that much either at the beginning and while it slowly grew on me it isn't my favorite ballad of her. Anyway, I wish you would still record a reaction since I like to hear your thoughts on the music videos as well.

I liked the video; but to me it was nothing impressive if we're talking about the melody or the production. The only thing I could appreciate was the dissonance between the second "Silencio": Like a scream into the void. Lyrically it wasn't bad, but to me, it still sounded like something that came out in 2004; a generic piano acoustic latino ballad... like Sin Banderas, Luis Fonsi (he had good ballads but not all of them were gold), MDO, Alek Syntek, Son by Four, or Belinda IDK ... I know it's a tribute to latin things, but girl, there are better references out there. I lived through that phase and I cringe thinking I used to sing them at the top of my lungs. Somos Nada reminded me of my dark times. Ugh!

I have to retract my comment lol I finally heard the song on headphones and there's definitely too much effect on her voice. It wasn't even necessary

About Somos Nada, they really could use less autotune bc it's all over the track and we know she didn't need it, like she even sang it live and she has no pitch problems, so I guess they just used the same amount of autotune and the same equalization for every song, but in Somos Nada she sounds too robotic for me too, it's a shame.

Maybe because u are so used to the engineered notes of fellow artists..it's not landing on ur ears..as for a live performance...watch the people choice Awards .... As much u respect ur opinion...make sure that ur opinion is an educated one... Listen with the intent to acknowledge and not just hear

I’ve watched it a couple of times, and I’m impressed by how similar it is to the studio recording. I’m starting to think what I thought was engineering was just the grain in her voice?
