I'm an ol' lady from N.C. (born and bred) and I found (heard her for the first time) here on YT about 5 years ago. There are words to describe this young lady's talent. But you soon run out of adjectives to describe just how phenomenal she truly is. To say she loves to sing is such an understatement. She was born to sing. She can sing any genre and has. Type in most anything and you'll find she's covered it and made you feel you never want to hear the original artist again. Her breath control is super natural and you'll find yourself trying to breathe for her when her transitions and sustained phrases are simply effortless to her. EFFORTLESS is the word used most about her talent. She never had any formal training and that in itself is why she's so extraordinary. She sings sitting down just as powerfully as if she were standing. She has sat on her bed, cross-legged, and sang "My Immortal" (by Evanescence) like it was her own song. She is a wonderful story-teller while she sings with the very emotions the lyrics were meant to mean. Her broadway performances (Stages Sessions) done at home during the pandemic, will make your jaw drop!! Yes, it's true....the Phillipines do have a lot of great singers. And that too, is an understatement. But Morissette Amon must be set apart even from the more well known older divas (and younger ones) who've been singing for years. She brings a beauty to singing that surpasses the others because she is a once in a life-time performer that this world needs to hear!! Thank you for featuring her on your channel. Im an Englishman who loves music and i go through fazes of who takes my fancy, theres two brilliant female ARTISTS that have captivated me for over 5yrs and MORISSETTE AMON LAMAR from the Philippines and SOHYANG from South Korea are the 2 greatest ARTISTS i have ever ever heard in my 65yrs, SOHYANG 45yrs of age and ageing lik a fine wine, what can we say about MORISSETTE that hasnt already been said, can i just make the point that music doesn't revolve around the English language, MORISSETTES catalogue of songs is immense, im finding new stuff even now after over 5yrs 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

For her english originals, try Phoenix, Mirror, Love You Still, to name a few. You can have a choice, whether from the wishbus or from a digital concert that she had. If you like Broadway songs, give a listen to her covers of Defying Gravity, and She Used To Be Mine, in her Stages Sessions performances.

Her lows are very.logh and her highs are extremely high with full solid power. She sings in all genres with lots of technical skills. Try her "Rise up", Against all odds, 2017 Asian song festival.

She also has her own original EP Signature album of 5 songs she could produced and co wrote.. one is Love you Still, Will you Stay, Mirror, Phoenix , etc. One other is Shine, some Broadway songs. Whitney covers, Beyonce covers, MariH covers, Brune Marz Medley, and a lit mire!!! She is my most favorite singer...I live her passion and dedication, her great appreciation of all supporting her , her humility and great love for God !

To me Morissette is the G.O.A,T, She is easily in the class of the great divas like Mariah, Whiney. Celine Christina etc, They each have their strengths but Morissette learned from them and is a combination of all of them, She has shown she can sing every style of music very well except opera which i dont doubt she could sing if she wanted to. She is also a very good dancer who can sing without missing a beat while doing full on choreography. All that and she is the most humble sweetest person and a Great Role Model for filipina girls. Philippines is a land of great singers sir and by far you've only heard from two. 95% of the population can speak english so you can expect our artists to sing in english with great enunciation. Just keep digging and you'll find the talents on here very addicting.
