If you enjoyed this you should definitely check out Saltatio Mortis songs "My Mother Told Me" (sung partially in English, partially in Old Norse) and "Pray to the Hunter." The lead singer was one of the vocalists in this video. Great reaction, keep rocking metal.

Thank you for watching! I've never heard of Saltation Mortis and will definitely take a look at those songs.
The female vocalist is Melissa Bonny of Ad Infinitum. She is also capable of very impressive harsh vocals. Definitely worth having a look at. Also, members of Feuerschwanz, Melissa and Morten of Amaranth have a project called The Dark Side of the Moon. They have created a number of metal covers of songs from Game of Thrones, HP, and LOTR. A new song, an original of theirs, is dropping on Tuesday, and in May their first album will be released.

Thank you, I love Melissa Bonny! I really enjoyed her diet with Nils Molin in the Afterlife song. I will definitely check out the Dark Side of the moon!
Feuerschwanz (Fire Tail) was founded in 2004 as a parody band to counterpart the (sometimes overly) serious German medieval folk scene. Over the years they parted from the straight parody while keeping the humorous or at least more light-hearted attempt and moved from medieval folk to medieval rock & metal. Their original material is in German (with some Latin thrown in here and there) but in 2020 they started doing covers in English too. If I had to choose one (from each) to recommend it would be Untot im Drachenboot (Undead on the Dragon Boat) for the originals and Blinding Lights (The Weeknd) for the covers. The guests on this song are Thomas Winkler (guy in green armor) from Switzerland, he was lead singer (under the stage name Angus McFife) for the UK based power metal band Gloryhammer and is now with his own band project Angus McSix, which is also his new stage name. Saltatio Mortis (Latin for Dance Of Death) is a German medieval metal band, in this case represented by vocalist Alea der Bescheidene (Alea the Humble, guy in black with the nice beard. Melissa Bonny is from the French speaking part of Switzerland, her man band is the symphonic metal group Ad Infinitum (Latin for to Infinity). Feuerschwanz actually have a song titled Schildmaid (Shield Maiden). There is a live performance video on YT which features the two bagpipe players of Saltatio Mortis!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write down an awesome historical timeline of the band! I'm new to their music but really appreciate the dark medieval vibe and the element of comedy. I love Melissa Bonny and her duets with Nils Molin in Ad Infinitum, she has a very beautiful tonal quality to her vocals. I will definitely watch the Shield Maiden and the live performance with bagpipes!🛡️😊🔥
Love this song! it is a powerful and uplifting tribute to the spirit of courage and sacrifice of those who fight for freedom and justice. And to never give up, even in the face of overwhelming odds. Enjoyed your reaction!

Thanks for the great suggestions, I will definitely check out these songs!
0:52 You're giving it five stars just for the costumes and the "viking" theme, and this shall grand you an uptick from my side as an immediate answer, as every good deed shall be honoured. ^^
*Stares in celtic^ Nae danger
I will admit I like this version slightly better than the original sung by manowar but only slightly
Now maybe it's just me, but isn't the Blonde female warrior somewhat reminiscent of Aela The Huntress of the Companions from Skyrim?
or check out Feuerschwanz with DING

Please check out the new song of Feuerschwanz "Bastard von Asgard". It is on german, which is the language they normaly sing. But it is a own song and not a cover song. And it is very cool.
