The censorship in the "Ah yeah" MV is a dig at korean broadcasting stations about how girlgroups are censored for BS stuff compared to boygroups (it happened to EXID for Up and down as broadcasting channels didn't let them perform the choreo on air so they had to change it), and it's also about the harassment of women in the workplace, I don't know if you noticed it but there is a male voice who keeps repeating "Where do you live, do you live alone?" and the lyrics of the song are about that too

Whenever I show it to people they're like "I didn't like the whispering, it's unsettling" and I'm like "it's *intentionally* unsettling". And yeah with the censoring stuff like how when it was uncensored Jeonghwa was just streaming TOEFL (english proficiency test) help, or the posters were just of cute things on Hyelins walls. Almost like the point was that it had nothing to do with the content that was being censored, it was their femininity. LE, Shinsadong Tiger and EXID made one of the most poignant masterpieces with Ah Yeah, and I hate that people only see their sexuality just because they liked using it. This group was/is so special, and it's so scary/sad that we nearly never learned about them in the mainstream because they were small. Just imagine the kpop world not knowing HANI, LE and SOLJI? Holy shit.

"Ah yeah" is still one of the best concepts pulled off by a girl group. It's perfect and a slap to the face to Korea's over the top censoring.

Ah Yeah is still the most brilliant song and mv they ever made. They had to face censorship from media bcs of their up&down choreo and Ah Yeah is like their response towards the media "ah yeah.." means like "....ok" in korean

"I feel good" was the first release with this 5 member line up, after 3 original members left and Solji and Hyelin joined the group. And this was before they blew up so it's a very underrated song of theirs. "AhYeah" was their first comeback after they blew up with Up&Down. It's one of my favorites of theirs because the song and MV both have strong messages about them. The song itself is essentially a callout to men coming on to woman when they clearly aren't interested. The MV was a call out to Korean censorship rules, mainly in response to them getting censored for the hip thrust move in "Up&Down" where they had to alter their choreography in order to perform it on broadcast. I think they were playing on how ridiculous some of the censorship is. Like in beginning of the MV, you see parts of their body, some pictures, and ad on the computer censored. Because it's blurred out, you're led to assume that it's blurred out because its showing something you're not supposed to see. Like your expression when you first saw their bodies blurred was "ohh...". You're led to think "oh, the girls must we wearing something scandalous or nothing at all, the pictures must be of something inappropriate" but then when the censorship was taken away, you notice that the girls weren't wearing anything inappropriate and the pictures were just cute animals and cartoons, but you thought they were bad because they were censored. So the message is, perhaps censoring these things may be what's leading us to think certain things are bad? There's also the added fact that girl groups get censored a lot more for inappropriate dance moves like hip thrusting and be called sluts, yet boy groups can grind on the floor and lift their shirts up and get away with it. May not be the best explanation but that's what I got out of the MV.

Ughhh I love all of these! I Feel Good is just nonstop fun (and that intro!) and I love that their MVs have been ridiculous from the beginning. Ah Yeah is the perfect middle finger to the censorship they faced and Hot Pink is actual perfection. I love themmmm

I don't think you'll survive if you watch the MV for their song "DDD". Another really awesome song of theirs is "Lady". It's got kind of a 90s hip-hop vibe to it.
