Drew's facial expressions really sold it for me. Going from shocked, "I can't believe this is happening again" to "I AM GOING TO FUCKING MURDER YOU." I felt bad because this felt like his moment, but his segment will be the most anticipated thing on Raw. He's a true main event superstar at this point.

That’s what happens when you work with a legit megastar the level of a CM Punk or a John Cena or The Rock. You sink or you swim. You fall or you rise to stardom. Drew has become more relevant these last few months than even when he was WWE Champion during the pandemic. He’s certainly come a long way compared to where he was at this time last year. He’s becoming a real main event star and he doesn’t even need the title for it. That bodes well for him in the future when it eventually becomes time to actually give him his moment.

Thank you! 😂😂😂 The guy didn’t just brag about it; he tried to get famous off it. He tweeted about it, he made shirts about it, he stole Punk’s match, and instead of celebrating with his wife when he got that big moment, he just HAD to go to Punk and rub it in his face and even do that disrespectful crotch chop to his face. Punk had been silent mostly until that moment; he was nice enough to sit and watch the match unfold at Mania without getting involved. He even warned Drew to go celebrate with his family and stop taunting him or he would be sorry, but Drew arrogantly ignored him and kept taunting him and even threatened to end his career if he came back. As a man, you can only take so much disrespect before you finally lash out. And Punk did. Drew decided foolishly to get into a petty war with the King of Petty. He poked the bear, and he got mauled. He kicked a hornet’s nest, and now the hornets are following him everywhere and stinging him. 😂 I can’t have any sympathy for Drew because Drew brought it on himself.

Punk was pretty much minding his own business and going to work trying to accomplish his goals only for Drew to weirdly make it personal. Then he not only injured Punk, but he basically tried to use what he did to Punk as a stepping stone for his own career. That’s classic bad guy behavior. Drew is not the babyface here. Punk is.

Some of them even cling to the vague comments from Drew about “Well, Punk did something to me 10 years ago” as an excuse when it’s been laid out in the story that that never happened and that Drew has been making that up in his head because he’s starting to snap from his own frustrations, blaming everything in the past for why he can’t get anything done in the present. It’s a great story when you look at how it’s constructed.

I think if they put the match on earlier a lot of the crowd would have walked out. I felt bad for the fans after the event in Cardiff last year. That said, I’m excited to see long term what happens with this storyline. It’s so entertaining.

There was NO "Screw Job" It's called LONG TERM STORY TELLING & LONG TERM BOOKING & BOTH are being done by Hunter & Co at a HIGH LEVEL! I LOVE IT! It made NO SENSE for Drew to win at CATC! 💯

One subtle thing many promotions tend to forget now, for some reason, is that certain audiences in the US have very well put their roles as either heel towns or face towns. Philly, Chicago some parts of NY, even Georgia, have always felt towards heelish tendencies. Florida, Cali, much of the Midwest feel face almost all of the time. Friday's Smackdown seems to steer easily into the void. Specially with how things turned out on Raw with Drew. Maybe we don't want a Punk as a champion, because sometimes there are things more important to championships. For this Punk, it feels like that, to me.

I think it's great and I can't wait to see what happens on raw. Hopefully drew comes out and just beats up everyone during their match like stone cold did until he gets what he wants

I think wearing the Celtic tracksuit was a big NO NO if you know the History of the City Hatred between Rangers and Celtic Catholic/Protestant religious divide that was uncalled for by punk and dangerous.

In all honesty, I don’t think it’s CM Punk going heel, it’s Punk going Punk; Drew injured Punk at the Royal Rumble, thus screwing Punk out of his Wrestlemania match which people were saying was going to be Punk vs Rollins; Drew not only injured Punk, but gloated about it and trashed Punk every chance he got, which screwed him over after his match with Rollins at WM40; it was pointed out by Damien Priest that Drew’s obsession with Punk had gotten the better of Drew, and during this time, Punk vowed that he was going to be getting back at Drew for what Drew did to him; as Punk stated “when I’m cleared, when I’m 100%, I promise you I am going to make your life a living hell!” and as far as I am concerned, it’s Punk making good on his promise.

I was there in the Hydro, as much as I wanted Big D to get the 1.2.3 I can honestly say there is a theme here in Scotland when it comes to sports we always get close but no cigar. I believe CM Punk hasnt been in Glasgow for around 12 years we were happy to see him again Damnit tho there was points in the match we genuienly thought Drew was taking it home

I knew it was Punk 1 second into him sliding in, I saw the hair and was like THAT'S PUNK!

I think it says a lot that drew would do a storyline where he not only gets screwed over at the biggest WrestleMania there has been so far, and also in his home country on a big PLE! He knows his feel good moment is gonna be the stacked bank account he’s gonna have at the end of his career

Here's where Dave and even Bully should remember, Drew was the one that Gloated about Injuring Punk at the RR. He "Prayed" for that injury and that he is glad it happened. He trolled Punk for months. Punk promised that he is pettier than any man on the face of this Planet and he will get his revenge on Drew. So, everyone knew this would happen because of how Drew trolled Punk about the injury he did at the RR and prayed for it to happen. So yeah, right now that is why everyone is glad it happened, and Drew deserved it. I want on Smackdown a brawl between Punk and Drew that has Drew laying him out in the center of the ring and Drew damaging his Car as he leaves.... HELL put Kaitlin his wife in the car smiling and kissing Drew on the lips as he drives off in his car. Something that shows Drew gets the upper-hand and his wife is behind the decision to do this. Also, Drew's wife was there in the audience when Punk screwed Drew out of that championship before...If it wasn't for that Surgery, I would bet, she would be there when Punk did it again. SO, I would have Drew's wife in the car kissing him on the lips as he drives away...aka Triple H and Stephanie when Hunter took out Randy! My Thoughts!

Would love to see what happens on Friday since Punk said he will show up due to it being in Chicago

The great thing about Drew is that Drew is not a baby face either he is just getting called out for the stuff that he did specifically to punk.

Punk vs drew at summerslam have potential to be one of the greatest match in 2024. We need summer of punk again.

I wouldn't necessarily cast either Punk or McIntyre as 'heels' at the moment. I think the story as a whole is that each of them brings the worst of the other out. Punk, at least, is still portrayed as something of a face to the general wrestling world and only embraces the heel tactics in regards to McIntyre or, to some extent, Rollins.

This could be long term booking for Drew. Setting up a 3rd time is the charm the next time at Clash of the Castle.

Drew screwed Drew stop it with the bs. What happened the night Punk got hurt and Drew had to pick a fight with the pettiest guy on the roster. From my point of view 4 people changed how heels are. Nash hall hogan and Brock Lesner. Nwo were the cool heels. Lesner broke the mold he wasn’t the chick shot heel of past. He would only do the chicken once in a blue moon. I think in all instances they became fan favorites because of it. I know with me in time I cheered them all. Since I can relate to them more or respected them more.

For the American Audience and Dave/Bully who don't understand the CM Punk Chant's... They were probably from the Celtic Supporters in the Audience because of all the media Coverage Surrounding Drew and Rangers, that's why some of the Audience were in favor of Punk, if you're not from here you wouldn't understand it. Punk was also wearing a Celtic tracksuit in the Media Post show.

WWE was relying on the feel good moment for Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre. I think it was enough.

I got mixed feelings about the ending at clash of the Castle. I totally understand the CM Punk / Drew McIntyre story. I totally get while we had the predictable CM Punk interference ending. But that crowd in Scotland was livid. They paid $400, on average, for that show, and we're hoping beyond hope that somehow Drew was going to win. It also made Damien priest a prop, or an NPC, in CM Punk and Drew's story. I hope Damian is all right, and his injury won't keep him out of action for long.

Idk this actually is arguable. His pops and crowd reactions are very simila to attitude era stone cold.. He is the best antihero since then honestly.. His AEW pop was fucking legendary and so was survivor series. Hes gonna be the top guy again soon.

@@dylusional419 its not arguable at all. He is nowhere near the tier of Austin, Rock, Hogan, Sammartino and Cena. Those guys CARRIED the company Punk buckled under the pressure because he couldn't draw as they thought and Cena was tasked to get back at the main event scene. That is why Punk barely main evented PPVs, they did worse than they did the year before and Cena had to return to the main event. The huge pops Punk get are few and far in between, nowhere near the AE guys who got them on a weekly basis.

I really enjoyed the fact this hot feud was born out of Punk getting really injured at the rumble. They really made lemonade from this lemon.

At this point Drew and Punk are both Heels and Faces depending on if you agree with one or the others actions. Possibly the most GREY any feud as been. Because you can argue Punk is face because Drew injured him in the rumble and then talked shit for months. BUT you can say Drew is face because he has good reason for not trusting or liking the jey is on his brand and that CM Punk is taking from him.... etc etc there are so many points where you can look at eaither Punk or Drew and say to them " yeah you have a point"

One could also interpret Punk’s display of the two count as a middle finger of sorts, as that’s a non-American way to flip someone off in other countries. Like, reading between the lines…

It’s looking like Seth winning at mitb against priest he faces Gunter for the world title then Gunter wins at summerslam then punk wins the rumble then wins the world title at wrestlemania then drew wins the title at next years clash of the castle in Scotland or next years summerslam,there’s a years story lines or have priest retain at mitb and defend against Gunter and Seth at summerslam,loads of different options

with what we know now after raw, is drew going to be gone for a while, in the meantime punk finally gets a title shot and by then we all forget about drew. Punk is close to finally winning and drew returns to screw punk? The pop would be crazy. And my favorite Drew is him in the skybox with his hair all messed up looking down at Punk in the ring. That was hilarious. Idk if there is truly a heel in the traditional sense. It's easy to have sympathy for drew, but he definitely brought it on himself. I wore my punk shirt Saturday and was not disappointed.
