He got to that point working hard, he started as a bench player and worked his way up. This is coming from other players, so I'm not making this up. He was definitely a good player though. By his own words though, he didn't trust his teammates because they didn't work as hard as him and if it was between him and them, he'll take all the shots. Which is the same mentality Kobe had, which is why Gilbert admired and revered Kobe and asked around about the training he was doing and so on. By his words though, he was definitely an asshole haha

KD can trash talk but he knew that Ant is young and was coming from that perspective and I actually give KD lots of props for just keeping his cool and not going ham on him. He allowed him to be young and compete and he left it at that. KD showed nothing but respect.
