Block B’s ballads hits differently.... I mean I adore their rowdy unique and insane.. in your face concept and music. BUT they can be so soft and emotional/sentimental too. BLOCK B is just DIFFERENT and you can understand why many late 3rd generation/4th generation idols look up and respect to BLOCK B/ZICO A LOT. They’re just unique artists and is so versatile too!

I think in the interview section of the Her MV, they describe themselves as the "brats" of KPop and it's honestly the most fitting description I've heard for them

omg I've always called them The Bad Boys of Kpop in my head and "brats" works really well too :D

block b have always said since 2011 that their biggest strength as a group and what sits them differently from everyone else is how real they are and how their music and performances are very present and strong

When you said they have bad boy vibes but they don’t take themselves seriously. Yaasss 👏 i love them for that. I really think they blend coolness and humor excellently. Gosh i miss them!

Fun fact: For the MV of "A few years later" they went there expecting to film the scene as it was spring, but it started snowing. And in "Dont leave" you can hear the rappers sing. They all sing so well.

The way b-bomb got exposed for being a loser in high school who used to pop, lock, and moonwalk to CHURCH HYMNS during high school. That man is embarrassing me and my homegirls, but I love him. He gets out of the military soon too! Please await the return of the OG kpop Lee Minhyuk, block b’s main dancer B-bomb!!!

Fr, we were all ready for bullying accusations and we got the news that he was so dance-obsessed that he’d work with anything that had a beat. Kids from other schools also said they’d see him dancing on his way to the train and even on the train!

Even though Block B is known for their "rowdy" and fun genre of music, their ballads/slow songs are hands down my favorite. Thanks for reacting!

I knew EXACTLY what you were trying to say about their vibe haha that's definitely why I like them too. It's confidence without being cocky, and while also being fun/light-hearted. Love it

Like you said, at first glance it might seem like Block B has a badboy image but their most popular music is goofy and their main appeal is them not taking themselves so seriously. Your take was on point

It's interesting because the first two songs (nalina and a few years later) were produced by the same person, zico, the leader. And the last one was by Kyung, another member 🤣 maybe you should try to react to their recording session, it's so funny because zico was so precise and strict lol when they recorded jackpot, her, and very good ❤️

First time hearing any of their songs. Parts of Nalina gave me strong Big Bang vibes and was my favourite, Don't Leave was next and A Few Years Later my least favourite, but they are all good tracks, will have to check out the other reaction later.

they are technically under kq entertainment because their label is a sub label of kq that only manages block b. somehow it makes sense to me that the first group kq had after block b is ateez. both groups have a reconiceable sound and a sort of clear identity with their music and staging. they are different to eachother of course, but i feel that block b has influenced how kq wanted ateez to sound in a way

One of my fav groups and I call them the "anti-idols". They don't care about their image and being perfect as korean society expect from idols (what led them to some controversies in their first year...). They do ugly faces, talk about watching porn, about farting, Kyung is always picking his nose... Idk, they just try to be themselves and not fake like the kpop industry force idols to be. Companies, sometimes, even force a character into their idols, for example, Leo from VIXX, had to be quiet and mysterious and serious, when in reality, he is not like that but confessed that his company made him act like that. And like him, a looot of idols.

i think the "narina" vs "nalina" thing might be bc of pronunciation of l's and r's being basically interchangable in korean (i think this applies to japanese too actually) ???? im not positive about that but thats my best guess
