We need more Ariana!!!

You two should check out the Broadway cast recording. The songs are epically good. And this play was an adaptation of the novel Wicked by Gregory Maguire. It was the Wizard of Oz story but skewed to the point of view of the Wicked Witch of the West. The Broadway play and its cast won many Tony Awards and was fantastic live. I can’t wait for this movie. Maybe late in the year you two could compare the cast recording to the soundtrack?

Very interesting that this is from the point of view of the Wicked Witch of the West. Appreciate this other info about the cast recording. This will be quite a production, we are certain of that.

This Movie is Based on the Stage Musical, Wicked based on the book, Wicked: The Life and Times of The Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire that is based on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

I saw the show on Broadway years ago and have since seen it 3 more times on its national tours. It's truly one of the most spectacular shows I have ever seen. I was *very* nervous and apprehensive about this adaptation, but this trailer has pretty much eliminated all doubt. I also love the novel that the musical is based on and from what I understand, the movie is going to incorporate some of the book elements that were not included in the stage production. Super excited for that.

Fun fact - the Broadway production is now in its 21st year and has been playing at the same venue (the Gershwin Theater) since its debut in October, 2003. It is the 4th longest running show in Broadway history, surpassed only by The Lion King, Chicago and Phantom of the Opera.

Very cool. We're hopeful this movie does very well for all involved.

It's confirmed that Wicked will come out on Nov 27 this year! And yes there are songs in this movie since it is a musical and Ari will be singing some as she's one of the main characters with Cynthia. It's also a fun fact to remember when hearing these songs, it was all live when they were filming it! No pre-recording or anything, Ari and Cynthia insisted they do live vocals which is crazy but knowing them being two powerhouses it'll sound heavenly. Can't wait for this movie to come out, especially as Glinda has been Ari's dream goal since she was a kid, if you watch interviews of her, every time someone asks her what role she'd love to play, her answer is always Glinda from Wicked and it's just beautiful to see her finally achieving that dream. Also, there is an upcoming Music video that Ari is soon to release, it's rumored to be 'The Boy is Mine', one of the songs in her album! Also, she performed live at the Met Gala recently, she did Yes, And?, We Can't Be Friends, The Boy Is Mine, 7 Rings, Into You, Once Upon a Dream, and Prince of Egypt. Out of all these performances Yes, And? was my favorite to see live, the live ver was just 100x better than the OG, and she sounds so crisp and the best she has ever sounded in her career. We can't get the full live performances since it's the Met Gala, but I believe some video recordings last 1-2 minutes long, so it's pretty good. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS!! Never have had the opportunity to see a stage performance of WICKED but I've heard the music. These ladies have big shoes of well known actresses to fill who have played these parts. I hope it gets rave reviews.

I'm with Mrs Coach. Wow! I'm not generally a fan of musicals, but I think I might just give this one a chance....

You guys absolutely NEED to react to her whole new album eternal sunshine. Its so good but for this album she took a step back from her usual vocal acrobatics and focused more on the story. So pay attention to the lyrics! Especially since the first song asks a question which is answered in the last song ❤ love your reactions
