Absolutely amazing all the feelings she expresses in that face. How could you not adore this beautiful young person...even if you didn't already know the extraordinary singer she was to become.

I love Angelina so much that I flew from New Jersey to Norway to see her perform at two of her concerts. I got to meet her and her mother after both concerts. I also think that you are adorable

She has listened to great music and became inclined to it prior to this occasion. And yes her standard for music is really high for her age here. Very much consistent on what she told in an interview where she said her mom wanted her to sing twinkle twinkle little star...and she said NO.🤭

Hi Liz! Yeah, many of us Angels have seen this classic video! We just love the facial expressions she's displaying. Whenever I see this, I'm guessing she's thinking, "THIS is not good singing!" or "You want me to sing THIS???" LOL Even at this age, she already knows what she wants to do and this ain't it! She's even told the story of how her mom wanted her to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and she gave her mom a big fat "NO." So funny!

Thanks for another reaction to Angelina. At this age the Barefoot Angel has already been exposed to the music of the legend Billie Holiday, and she doesn't want to participate in performances that doesn't take her to that beautiful world she has reminded us many times.

The funniest moment, to me, is when she shrugs to the girl next to her (6:41), as if to say, "Sorry… they're always recording me. I can't make them stop." (FWIW, I think she shakes her head [at 5:55] as a response to the person behind the camera trying to get her sing, not as a judgment on the singing, per se. But I'm clearly in the minority about that… And my interpretation of the emphatic gesture at 4:30 is that she's saying, "Go back and sit down! What's wrong with you? Do you see any other people wandering around recording their kids?")🤣

I tend to disagree the sour expression. She and grandma Mery (likely holding the camera) have always had a large and complex set of hand signals they use to communicate when Angelina is on stage. Almost a private language. I've seen them use it several times in videos of rehersals esp when things aren't going well. This looks like one of them.

Inside one of her "home videos", she is singing Whitney at age 1 year 8 months. (20 months old) I just cant find it right now..

This is clearly not for her...I admire that she's looking indignant @ the sweeping assumptions that school & adults make when it comes 2 music; one size does not fit all, clearly! 🙄 😐

Even at that young age, Angelina had very demanding standards! The school singing practice just didn't make the mustard. Wouldn't have been out of character if she wrote to the music teacher: "D minus - must try harder!"

I imagine that it is mostly Angelina's beloved grandmother that can be thanked for documenting her childhood, the grandmother that introduced her to the old jazz classics. For anyone with a good ear for music, listening to a group of children sing can actually be painful because so many of them tend to be grossly off-key. That was obviously the case here with Angelina, even acutely so.

this video is a look into Angelina s musical IQ at a very early age as a person can easily see how appalled Angelina is by the how shall we put it , lol, lack of harmony coming from her classmates ...

I think that Angelina may have been frustrated that she didn't know the words to the songs,or perhaps not well enough to satisfy the perfectionist within her.I doubt if even she could read from the program at that age(preschool)You can see kids her age around her having the same problems.

She's been so exposed to good singing (Billie Holiday etc) and deeper songs, that she is not having any part of silliness or the normal sing-songy fare we have most kids sing. Although I will say that Good King Wencelas does have a deep and important message, but the way it is sung here. Angelina does not want to part of as you say "the chaos." She's used to taking songs and making them her own, not just joining a unison chorus.
