@@Reckyj Alan Wake was a really good game. The sequel wasn't as good. I'd like to take a moment and point out the song 'Grinder's Blues'. It's really different from their other songs, in that it's a southern/rock/blues song. Something you'd stereotypically hear blaring out of a trucker's cabin as they drive by. I mean, in the game it's in, you play as a space trucker. XD

Absolutely love these two songs. Happy to see you dug them. And to answer your question, Take Control is from the Video Game "Control", which, if I remember correctly, is in the same universe as the Alan Wake Games. My Dark Disquiet is also featured in that game. The other Old Gods of Asgard Songs are from Alan Wake.

@@Reckyj I believe they did four songs as Old Gods of Asgard. The Poet and the Muse, Balance Slays the Demon, Children of the Elder God, and Take Control. Poets of the Fall also release a song under their regular band name that was put in Alan Wake as well. That song is called "the Happy Song". It's not a great song lyric wise, but it's meant to be that way for the boss battle it was used in.

Glad you like Take Control. the song is used in a very particular section of the game "Control" one of the best sequences in video games, really a very good game. Old gods of Asgard have 4 songs, but poets have make a few other songs for video games, If you want to take another take (no music video just an image) you should listen to Grinder's Blues , Drama for life is a good choice if you like the more rocker sound, or Choice Millionaire if you want something more close to a more popular sound

In the Sweet Escape: Marko is indeed walking in the streets of Helsinki and the video was directed Finnish director Miika Hakala :D and Take Control is from the game Control.

So nice to see you really getting into the Poets! They are amazing at lyrics and videos. If you enjoyed The Old Gods of Asgard, I recommend their song "Balance Slays the Demon", which is my favourite of the Poet's alter ego band's songs.

If what ya said means 'Woman in Red' then yes definitely. 'Children of the Elder God' and 'Balance Slays the Demon' War is also in Alan Wake but that's actually under Poets of the Fall definitely worth checking out. There is gold in most their songs but that would be me Fangirling. Marco is a English Teacher's Dream student when it comes to lyrics guess I should say language teacher coz he knows more then one language. You're a casual listener but with boxed-in taste no it's not a bad thing you like what you like you're honest and true to your style of music and I say thank you and RockOnRicky🤘😎👍. I was informed just while back thats what I am is a casual listener, I am clueless on musical terms and techniques but I'm open to many many types of music. I think if I hear a song my teenage-self would have jammed out to then you would probably like it and hey that's not saying anything bad my hubby doesn't like Nightwish or some of the more exotic music I listen to lol, he's threatened to poor water on my tablet if I don't shut it off or put on headphones so you'r not the only one out there.

My wife likes Nightwish. She said I won’t like them no matter how much I listen to them. We have a similar taste but sometimes it is so far off it’s insane. I’m trying to be more open to new music. I did love the lyrics of the old gods. Thank you for sharing and being a cool person!

The Famous track by Zuccherro and Paul Young, I remember it well in late 80s. use to listen to it on the ol MTV. Take Control is written specifically for the game in one badass segment. You know when you played in Control.

Oh my... Its been almost two month your last Nightwish reaction. Can't you just get over it. I'm getting little bit annoyed.🤨 As a revenge I challenge you to check couple more from them. Sleeping Sun and Edema Ruh. Do it on your own but do check. Those migth be more rigth up your alley ... or not, its hard to know about you. And if you don't do I will not know. 😀

@@Reckyj Not the original Sleeping Sun The one you'll more likely like and is my favorite the band is dressed as knights, viking warriors and she's in a white dress. Sorry just a heads up on that the original is her opera voice. I'll Second Daria on her challenge as well for ya to check out Edema Rum.
