You're absolutely right, it's a shame that such a monster of a song hasn't entered the live performance circuit, although I understand the reasons for the decision. I think I also read a comment once, that Tarja and Marcello would have asked for this, as a condition of a future amicable relationship, but I don't have a reliable source for this. It is certain that Tuomas' brilliant creativity combined with anger led to something like this. An emotional storm. I was actually speechless when, after the last verse, the metal instruments, with the exception of the drums, completely give way to the symphony orchestra. Brilliant and unique, at the same time, it gives me a feeling of spatiality, of "dissolving" in the infinite universe of music.

Oh dear, When I read the title of the song I thought: ah, my dear sir, brace yourself for what's coming your way: An angry tsunami of organized symphonic chaos that builds and builds until BOOM! everything explodes PS: this one is my "anger management" song. Whenever I'm pissed off about something or someone, I listen to this and the anger goes away pretty fast.

One can debate who was right, who was wrong. You absolutely cannot deny the authenticity of the emotion behind this track. They clearly were utterly sincere in their version of events. His way of playing drums is perfect for this song. I can picture him "beating the drums" in my mind. Marko's "dirty" bass sound and Emppu's well-timed guitar playing... "Hey Judas, your Christess was Our Love" and "Seek her, seduce her, tame her" really.. tells you all about how the band saw Tarja's husband's role in how it all went down. Probably not fair to him, they're still married and seem to have a happy and healthy relationship, but it's interesting how Tuomas was so adamant to put nearly all the blame on Marcelo instead of Tarja, he did say in interviews that Marcelo changed Tarja and turned her against the band, and the anger and hurt over it reflects in this song. It's heavy, but also a bop. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Every song a banger and I distinctly remember saying to my then young daughter who was with me in the car and pleading for me to play Poet again "wow, someone is angry!!" Little did I know at the time the full reason behind the power, the angst, the raw aggression and visceral bitch slap that was assaulting my ears! Great song and as always a great reaction that brought back some fond memories of my 7 year old daughter head banging in the back of the car. Cheers Eric!

This is some Angry Nightwish For You.... Tuomas wrote this song with Marko (if i am not mistaken) towards Tarja's husband / manager , after Tarja left . Because the angry nature of that song , it will never see live concert . Tuomas said that he is not that person anymore and that's why this song remains only in album version... It's really a relatively violent song for Nightwish. A good combination with Bye Bye Beautiful. One as a final word, a final goodbye, and one as a screaming "Fuck you" to the sky. This song is one of the Tarja departure Trilogy. The other two are"The poet and the pendulum" and "Bye bye beautiful".These three are very different from each other, yet awesome in their own way. "The poet and the pendulum" is an epic symphony "Master passion greed" is thrash metal "Bye bye beautiful" is kind of like a pop-rock song NWSU 🤘😎🤘.

I'm in the middle of mowing my acreage and I got an alert on my phone that you uploaded MPG. I stopped and got on my puter right away (I needed a break anyway)!!! Great song and reaction. I kinda wish they would have played this live! Oh well....

One of Nightwish's absolute best songs, so bombastic and heavy. It's a shame that this song isn't played live regularly, due to the subject matter and also now due to Marko leaving the band. Sad in a way. But there are others as well which we will not hear again. We just have to go back to the album and listen to it in reactions like this awesome one 😊🤘🔥If you would like to listen to another very heavy song by them, it is Dead Gardens (no video available). It is a song from the album Once and Tarja on vocals. The song is about, if you can believe it, Writers Block and the song has a very intense ending.🔥🔥🤘🤘

Love all your reactions but this is one of my favorites! And excellent timing with 15th anniversary of album release! 🍻 Yeah, it is great injustice that MPG is not performed live, can't even imagine the epicness! And crowds would go ballistic 🚀🚀😂

First of all, the song was meant for Marco to sing it, so now that he's not in the band anymore, I see it difficult to find this song on their live performances. Apart from that, the relationship between Tarja and Floor is really good. Like more than friendly good. They even sang together a few times, even after Floor was part of Nightwish. So I don't see Floor singing this. But, dang, I can just imagine Floor "conveying" (yes, she doesn't sing, she conveys) this song and it gives me chills.

Tuomas seems to be living a good life of quiet contentment these days and that is great but I hope someone just makes him angry a couple more times. Just one or two. Because I am also hoping for an uncaged master passion greed type track from them before they call it a day. Check 'Tribal' from their latest album Human Nature. I don't think you've done that one yet. There is a lyric video available. It is another hard one, just not to MPG level. 🔥🤘🔥

This is the first time I've heard this song, during your reaction vid. WOW! Tuomas and the others really wear their heart on their sleeves, don't they? This, Bye Bye Beautiful and TPATP are a dark trinity of crushing, sucking rejection and furious anger. I agree with the industrial vibe too, and the epic massiveness of it. I am not a fan of Bye Bye Beautiful. I adore TPATP but its a tough listen for me and I have to really be in the mood for it. This, I will come back to! This can be my angry workout song.

I think it was not only for tuomas, but also for Emppu, Yukka and Marko very important to throw out. The whole band was traumatized by what happened inside the band and than the enormous lacklash. They DID perform it live btw, I know some fans say they did not. But its in the past now, like The Poet and the pendulum and bye bye beautiful. The whole album is written to deal with the missery and start over again.

I kind of wish this had never been released in its raw, cathartic form. That way they could have come up with alternative lyrics when things had calmed down, and maybe it would have been less visceral but we could have been comparing the Wacken 2013 performance to the Buenos Aires Decade one...

If you watch the 2 videos, End of Innocence & End of an Era, the tension between Tarja , Marcello and the band is obvious. Badly handled on both sides, no communication led to the "letter". Would Tarja have left anyway, probably, she had told them that. But it is what it is. Sad that Marcello's interference with NW US tours cause he didn't think his wife should play small venues and the band not play for small money really ruined Nightwish becoming a monster band here.

lyrics Who the hell are you to tell me What to do, why to do, why bother? Leech in a mask of virtue Such waste, to ever think of you again. Hey Judas, your christens was our love. Hit and run, you're be done. Never sorry, never wrong, More, more, more, more, more. Master Passion Greed Master Passion Greed "Hello, how are you? Let me explain one thing. All for her and more for me. Why is it so hard to see? I see no sense in doing this, Not enough for me, I fuck up everything but let me explain." Some day Some day you shall flee, Panting and weak. Master Passion Greed Master Passion Greed Master Passion Greed Master Passion Greed All within me gone but pain and hope, Hoping that the pain will fade away. Greed your master passion, I feed the mouth that bites me. Mammon, opiate of the masses, The reek of your lies draws flies. Seek her, Seduce her, Tame her, Blame her, Have her, Kill her. Seek her, Seduce her, Tame her, Blame her, Feast on it all. Seek her, Seduce her, Tame her, Blame her, Have her, Kill her. Seek her, Seduce her, Tame her, Blame her, Feast on it all. With awakening the tears will begin. To my everlasting shame silence took me.

In terms of metal vocalists I've heard that the singer who's featured in Pentakill is up there with some of the best. I don't know his name but and I've been meaning to recommend this for awhile, I think you should do a double feature of Lightbringer by Pentakill then do your review of it and right after do a review of the acoustic version of Lighterbriger by Pentakill I think you will find it interesting.
