Junior Dad is definitely the more relaxing track and traditional of Lou Reed
Oh man...I thought it was gonna be this album from the Google Doc. Really interested to see your reaction because this would be quite the test for your taste.
Oh man this album is definitely an interesting one. Not particularly a big fan of this album but I do respect it as a weird last work of an legendary artist. RIP Lou Reed
Also last point, this was Lou Reed's last major project.
I've always been very easy on this album. It's an interesting listen for sure.
Lulu is Lou Reed album with Lou Reed songs ,Metallica just play as backing band ,it's not collaboration or Metallica album ,most people misunderstood that
UH OH.
In regards to Metal Machine Music, it's more of an album that I respect more than I actually enjoy. The album was very influential in the development of noise and drone music, but honestly MMM kinda gets boring after a while. Acts like Merzbow, Earth, Sunn 0))), Boris, and Throbbing Gristle are more artistically interesting to me.
The one thing I'll say is that whenever I suggest albums for people to listen to, it's always to genuinely expose them to music I think they'd love. This seems more like an album suggested just to get a reaction out of you, but clearly it's the worst thing from Metallica and one of the worst from Lou Reed. The best thing you can say of course is that's it's amusing and memeable. "I Am The Table" is one of the best known memes in Metal because of The View.
This album honestly isn't that divisive, it's pretty fairly hated lol Sure you'll find fans of it but it's less common than the love for St. Anger

To me, this is just the logical consequence of what Lou Reed had been doing all his life. It's like Venus in Furs 2.0. Or The Blue Mask (the song, not the album) 2.0. He was ahead of his time in the '60s, and he remained ahead of his time toward the end of his days. I'm not keen on Hatfield's vocals, but otherwise this is a killer of an album. (And thank God, for the most part Hatfield keeps his mouth shut after the first two tracks.) Sooner or later, the rest of the world is going to catch up. It took them a decade or two with the Velvets as well. (But do check out the background story, Frank Wedekind's "Lulu", if you want a clue or two to what this is about.) Edit: I think that's Lou speaking through Lulu ("Lou-Lou"?) saying "I've always been this way, not by choice" in Iced Honey. You have to let him be his way.
Oh. One of the literal worst albums ever made. ...............bold choice?
