@@Sameer-wy7cy It's called taking cinematic liberties -- even a documentary made during the lifetime of Gangubai would not have been 100% "real" -- some of y'all have zero sense of basic art

The guy who plays Alia's lover (Shantanu Maheshwari) is not a young boy lol. He is 32 years old in real life. 2 years older than Alia Bhatt 😁

You guys know that this is based on a real story of Gangubai Kathiawadi ..Right ??

The dance form, its traditional folk dance GARBA, originates from western india, form states like Gujarat and Rajasthan. It has various froms and styles done in various regions. For example the form done here is Dakhla, the one done in padmavat is Ghoomer, there are some other forms like Dandiya, Raas, Pouranic garba, hinch etc. We also have festival, Navratri where we celebrate Durga Ma and worshiping her in form of Garba There's a lot more to it, but this is just a brief introduction! Do lookup more if you feel like it ❤

Raziabai is a hijira which is the formally recognised 3rd gender in India (technically hermaphrodites or intersex people), they have been part of society for millenia. I saw that that was a bit of a culture shock for you guys but its pretty normal in India :)

It is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial. The same guy who directed Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani.

"You feel uncomfortable" then you should not watch it. But NO then how will you a make a money out of it. It's funny that they feel uncomfortable in these movies and then have productions like Fifty Shades of Grey in their own country and can happily watch it. I can bet it they won't even know it is based on true story before reacting to it. They just had to sit and make reactions and that's it. And how dumb do you have to be to assume that prostitution is legal not just in India but in any part of the world. I think it's just in American blood.

prostitution is legal in many countries , and so in India . Update yourself buddy . And that scene was pretty uncomfortable . I felt that too . And just because fifty shades of grey was made in their country , they are not allowed to feel uncomfortable? you want to control their feelins , thier reactions? And how do you assume that they have watched it ? and even if they did , why do you assume they didnt feel uncomfortable watching it ? There are so many B grade movies in India , so what if someone says , that India produced these kinds of movies , so why do you feel uncomfortable or dont watch it?

@@Youalrightboi I will say what I feel I don't need validation from anybody. Yes their might be B grade movies everywhere but everybody is not making reaction and money out of it. If they were so interested in Indian movies they'll reasearch something about them but no they just sit, watch and comment whatever comes in their mind. And If I am saying they should not watch it if they feel uncomfortable their is nothing wrong in that. So yeah you don't need to cry here as if you're children got scolded.

If only they made less noise and watched the movie a little bit seriously than what they did they would have picked up on the nuances.... Of the real horror of trafficking.... The no return path to home for these girls... The atrocities and the humiliation they suffer... The diseases... The disrespect... The depression and the darkness around.... If you couldnt get what she wanted in the song Meri Jaan.... You really wont get anything that underlines the soul of this movie

The reactions looks so fake at some points.. Like its preety much obvious its a story of a red light areas, prostitution and all.. And the reaction even after half movie is done is like.. "What... " "What is happening..." " 4000 prostitutes..." But then cant blame you.. India is a vast country to study its culture and values in just 2-3 movies.. Still good reaction. Keep it genuine or maybe atleast act genuine to fool people😂

Not necessarily, it's your choice which size of bindi you choose and what looks good on you. But the representation in popular media is that young, naive girls wear small bindi and as you grow and mature you wear bigger bindi
