He was not co writer he was the original writer of this whole plot of gangs of wasseypur then he told the plot to anurag kashyap and then anurag kashyap sent his team to wasseypur to investigate the plot and then anurag read all story and then he wrote this movie.

Funfact : Gangs of Wasseypur was the only Indian movie in the "Top 100 movies of the 21st century" list by "The Guardian"

Most the story is inspired from real life incidents in Wasseypur, That is why the writer played the role of definite the last survivor of the whole power struggle. P.S.: Did you notice Faizal played a pivtol role in Lunchbox movie starring Irrfan Khan.

Wrong, Faisal khan in real Fahim khan is in jail and still alive… it’s all real story but a lot of exaggeration…a masterpiece indeed❤

This movie may be considered as the pinnacle of cinematic genius in Indian cinema…here after no gangster movie could match it and things went down hill every passing year till today

Yeah that was an one shot, and what amazes me that movies like gangs of wasseypur never get an academy award or the global recognition that it deserves.

it might have not got an academy award but it is globally well recognised and is considered as an epic magnum opus from Anurag Kashyap. it is very revered in cinema circles but yes it deserves more

Did you realised that during Manoj Bajpai's time katta used to blow up & during Definite's time, it was a new evolved gun but it also gets jammed? 😂 Also for some reason I think Rajkumar Rao's character using iron Rod after Definite's gun gets jammed is intentional because his character was in iron buisenss.

If youu want to see the full range of Nawazuddins performance i highl recommend Raman Raghav. Mawazuddin recieved a standing ovation at the cannes film festival for his performance.

The guy who played definite is the writer and is actually from waseypur. The real Faizal Khan was his neighbor.
