Small? He is slender for sure but Dimash is 6 foot 3 or 191 cm. Not small at all, he's a gentle giant. Sweet and humble, very giving person. He gets flowers at almost every performance/concert he gives, and he donates them to the local hospitals and nursing homes. His pronunciation is better here, he dropped the S sound in many of the words that he said originally. In French, no clue why, but they don't say the S at the end of a word. And didn't you watch the SOS from the Singer show? That's 2017. In 2015 he did sing SOS at the Slavic Bazaar, which he won the competition for. Dimash tends to change how he sings songs almost every time. So SOS is usually different almost every time.

In French, any ending consonant of any word is pronounced only when the next word begins with a vowel and there isn't a pause between this words.

No, he's not 'small'. He's 6'3" !!! But, you're right, he doesn't have that broad barrel chest that we might expect for eg; of Opera singers with deep booming voices, like Pavarotti etc. But Dimash works hard to develop and maintain his core strength, diaphragm etc, and lung capacity, by swimming a lot, doing martial arts and of course lots of daily vocal exercises. He looks after his 'instrument' ( which is his whole body - not just his vocal chords } with the specialist expertise, training and dedication of an elite gold standard olympic athlete! Put all that hard work on top of a god-given gift of a stunningly beautiful voice with perfect pitch and this is what you get! 😄

He is continually evolving, and challenging himself. His work ethic is unparalleled! Dimash loves his DEARS, and he is very well known. Dimash is an independent artist, with amazing family support. Merci d'avoir pris le temps de regarder deux versions. Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec vous, sa voix s'est améliorée et aussi son français, malgré quelques lacunes qui persistent. SOS faisait partie d'une spectacle nommé "Starmania" qui a été diffusé en France en 1979 et au Canada en 1980. SOS était le 7e chanson de l'acte 2. Elle a été un succès dès le début. Plusieurs l'ont chanté, mais jamais personne n'a égalé la performance de Dimash. Ce que j'apprécie de Dimash est qu'il prend le temps de nous faire vivre l'émotion qu'il désire partager avec nous. Il a ralentit le rythme afin de nous faire vraiment ressentir la profondeur de cette chanson qui parle de la détresse de vivre dans un tel monde. Bravo à vous d'avoir accordé autant de temps et aussi de lire mon commentaire, malgré qu'il n'est pas en anglais. Merci!

As you've read in the comments Dimash is not a small man, he is 6'3" tall. He swims daily to help with his lungs. His grandmother took him to music lessons every day from the age of 5, so he has had way more training than most people his age, and I believe it's one of the reasons he can do some of the amazing things with his vocal cords that he can do that other people find very difficult. The word you were looking for to describe the pulsating change of pitch during his singing was vibrato. I believe this is the best version of SOS. I also love his original version from the Singer. The Digital Concert version while stunning visually is not my favorite vocally. He ends up speaking a couple of lines and he misses part of the high note going up when he gets his angel wings, you only catch the end of the note. It's still great of course, as all of his songs are, it's just not my favorite. You will also enjoy Stranger. It's sung in English and he does some beautiful vocal calisthenics in it as well.

The first SOS you watched was 2017, from the Singer competition, when he was 22 years old, & the youngest contestant there, & the first foreigner, ever. This SOS you did today was a year later. Dimash is 6ft, 3in tall.....hardly ''little''. As you watch, notice him around other people & he's taller & broader than most.

My most favorite version of SOS is Dimash Digital Show 2021

There are many versions of SOS but the Singer 2017 version you watched before was the first one I watched too back in December 2018. My favorite version is the 2021 Digital Concert version because it has a more Rock vibe and killer visuals. Live but no audience due to pandemic. You are right, his voice is an instrument. When he does covers like this piece, he adds his extra Dimash touches that aren't necessarily words but add to the song. He uses vocalizations that sound like an additional instrument to many songs - could you imagine anyone else trying them? He knows this about his voice and has a few beautiful pieces he just vocalizes on - no words, just voice. Thank you for your reactions.

Very nice reaction. This is my favorite performance of SOS due to his facial expression and body movements but also how he sang this. Dimash is not small, lol, he is 1.91 m or 6.3 ft.

This is my 3rd visit. I've seen the other two SOS reactions. This performance is my favorite! Well . .. this one and the one in the competition in 2017. In the one of his Digital Show, I think he was a little sick, but he still performed very well. I think that one seems more impressive to you perhaps, because he had his own band and back up singers. Dimash is an amazing vocalist, a freak of nature! As high as some of his notes can get . . . he can get just about as low in some of his performances. In some of his performances, he sings duets (and other combos) with himself. I hope you continue watching Dimash's performance. He continues to surprise!

It has not these crazy high notes but it will touch your heart. They show his mother in the audience getting into tears. This concert was in Kiew before all these terrible things began to happen. SOS is said to be one of the 3 most difficult French songs. Dimash worked on it a LONG time. Someone put together a video called something like "The Evolution of Dimash's SOS" (not sure the title, but something like that), anyway, it showed him working on singing that song over the years. It was very interesting how the styles and techniques changed as he practiced. The variations are interesting. Dimash is incredibly gifted, but he is ALSO an extremely hard worker. Oh, did anyone mention that he's about to have (or has just) completed his Doctorate?

Dimash is six ft three ! The "original" one from The Singer was in 2017, this one was in 2018, and the Digital Show was in 2021. There are many more, too! Loved your reaction, keep going! Please enable captions whenever possible!

This is my favorite version, by far. More personality than even the 2021 one. You mentioned that he's small, and I think you mean 'narrow' or light framed. Stranger will blow your mind! It is a gorgeous song, written for him by Igor Krutoi, and showcases his Kazakh roots, even though it's in English.

This is a good version of the song Sos sung by Dimash but the problem with this version is that there is too much work of post production,and is not for fault of Dimash but of who work in Slavic Bazaar 2018..However my first favorite version is Online digital concert january 2021 with the video in Dimash's channel..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

6:40 he is not small, just scene is big :) he is much higher then average (191cm). After SINGER in 2017 he stayed in China for 2 years training with chinese voice teachers so yes, he improved alot since 2017

Dimash’s Ave Maria is not Schubert’s Ave Maria which is probably the most well known version among many. Igor Krutoy composed this Ave Maria for Dimash and seems to have been inspired more from the Caccini/Vavilov version. I wanted to mention this before you react to it because many reactors get so distracted by the fact that it doesn’t sound like the version they’re familiar with that they’re not really listening.
