Ahhh Karen Carpenter, the most beautiful voice I've ever heard! She was so mesmerizing on stage & had natural charm & charisma in spades. Once she began singing, we couldn't take our eyes off her, she was lovely 💖

There is a small set of songs in the Carpenter's catalog that highlight or showcase Karen's incomparably beautiful voice at it's very best - this is one of them. The vocal ambience she creates is deep and rich and warm and so seemingly effortless, and yet so stunningly gorgeous and compelling that it mesmerizes and boggles the mind while overwhelming the emotions. Is she the G.O.A.T., and is this one of the most beautiful sounds in the whole world? FYI, a few other songs in this highly select set are: YOU'RE THE ONE, WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?, ONE MORE TIME and LEAVE YESTERDAY BEHIND.

Psyche!!! I love the Carpenters, have most of their albums on vinyl, but I haven't heard that song more than once a long time ago. How refreshing, soothing, and beautiful. Thank you! :)

I rediscovered this beautiful song about a year ago when I was adding more Carpenters music to my collection. It brought chills to me remembering that song, and remembering hearing its beauty as a kid. I was so happy to find it and I listen to it now very often. It is one of Karen Capenter's best vocal performances in my opinion. She is so truly missed! Thank you so much for sharing your reaction to it! 💖💖💖💖

Psyche, I recently provided some history of KC. I mentioned her rendition of the circa 1939 "I Can Dream Can't I ?". She sings this 'big band ballad' as naturally and beautifully as ever. She holds alot or longer notes in this song. I know you will really enjoy. She should have sung many more of these type songs. Amazing

The Carpenters had their roots in jazz. I’m positive she would have went down that road more if she had lived.

Hi, My favorite vocal group of the 70;s. Check out TOP OF THE WOLRD (live at the White House version) and another kinda funny one MR GUDER, was made for a Japanese audience while they were on tour there.
