⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞 This was the second of two concerts at Yokohama Arena in late June of 2019. The song had it's world debut the previous night, which was also their first show that year. 'PA PA YA!!' is a Summer festival party song. Matsuri Da! (It's a festival!) I wasn't aware of him before this collaboration, but F.HERO is a well known rapper in Thailand. His rap was all in Thai. The lyrics in the rap section mention Som Tam (spicy Thai papaya salad) and they incorporated some traditional Thai instruments during that part of the song. So (among other Summer related stuff) 'PA PA YA!!' is about papaya. : )

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。When you attend their show someday, you will come to know it is very hard to keep swinging towel above your head for 4 minutes all along. It is fun, though. I believe some 3,000 New Yorker had sore shoulders on the following day of BM's show at Terminal 5 on Sep.15, 2019 😄 . I am sure your questions will be answered by wise men in the fanbase like Grington300 300, Rick Wagner, Jake Muller etc. They are reliable information source even for me. In June 2019, F. Hero came all the way to Japan from Thai for the world premiere of this song and he had been very nervous to perform at a huge arena in foreign country. This is an MV of live footage coupled with studio sound. At the actual venue, Su-Metal shouted "Come on F. Hero!" to summon him. And at the end of this song she screamed "Thank you F. Hero!" then the three girls bowed deeply towards him to show their respect. That scene makes me happy.

_Matsuri da!_ Loved your reaction getting this on fire 🔥🔥🔥 Please keep them coming and enjoy this Metal Galaxy journey. Babymetal never have afraid of trying something new. In this case they are mixing thai rap with BabyMetal unique sound, although audio isn't an actual live performance, since the official MV got studio sound. Of course with the Kami Band playing behind this song is even better. Since BMRR channel doesn't got that one, you can find a decent live compilation version at "who?" channel if you want to hear them again really live. . This is a party festival summer song (Matsuri da), especially for season like this in Japan nowadays, they sing about papaya salad and mixing with other things as an allegory of life to enjoy mixing different stuff, in this case the thai and japanese culture. Papaya is fruit. F.Hero is a thai rapper and he rap about that in his part. Waving your towel while dancing and singing is a must and the girls love that. This song belongs to 3rd album but this one as well many more songs are exploring a different Babymetal side, sometimes more mature, but trying to not lose their fun. This one belongs to the Light Side disc of that concept álbum. The footage of this was took from BABYMETAL AWAKENS: The Sun Also Rises 2019 and introducing the _avengers_ system, a group of three backup dancers filling the third spot that YuiMetal left (she leaves the group in 2018). They rotate so not always you'll see the same one on stage, usually the live official MV is with Kano Fujihira, she started this when having 14 years old, so young like our girls back in their early days. None of them have mic or sing and aren't official members, they just dance. Next recommendation: "Kagerou" with the Kami Band intro live at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020, you can find this at BMRR, or "Distortion" live at Rock Am Ring 2018, this one is safe to react without a logo. Great reaction. As this was the official video it had the studio audio, but there is a video of this performance with the live audio (it is even better), so part of what you missed here was Su-metal calling out to welcome F Hero to the stage. 'PA PA YA' is a summer festival song - about a spicy green papaya fruit salad. F Hero is a rapper from Thailand and was rapping in Thai to the same rhythm as mixing the ingredients for the salad with a mortar and pestle. They are pretty much saying that, much like the salad, mixing the right spices into life will make that better too. This was filmed on the second night at the start of their 2019 tour. F Hero flew in to Japan specially for the first two shows to perform with BABYMETAL in person. The third girl in this video was one of three dancers brought in to take turns filling the third spot in the choreo after Yui left the band in October 2018. This was Kano's very first show with BABYMETAL - she was still only 14 years old. If you see BABYMETAL live remember to take a towel (or buy one from the merch stand) to swing around your head for this song. Seeing everybody doing that makes Su and Moa happy ... and we all want them to be happy all the time. 🦊 Looking forward to whatever you watch next time.

I Bellevue they actually the "live version" in studio... and play it over the this video. They do perform it live with mostly no backing track, but these official live videos is studio recorded.

Sugoi! I believe Su-metal is 21 & Moametal is 20 in this vid. The 3rd girl (formerly Yuimetal's spot) is Kano Fujihira, who was only 14 at the time (she will turn 18 in a few days). And like Su & Moa before her, she was a Student Council President of Sakura Gaukin. She's also a founding member of the all-female J-pop Idol group called @onefive. Arigatou! 🦊🤘 #notacult

Welcome back to the Babymetal Foxhole. "PA PA YA" is from Babymetal third album METAL GALAXY. Papaya is a tropical fruit available anywhere in Asia especially in the region of South East Asia. "PA PA YA!!" is a dance song with an underlying massage of striving for personal excellence, collaboration with a very well known Thailand rapper from Chiang Rai name Natthawut Srimok nickname Golf but known popularly by his stage name F.HERO (Fukking Hero) and specialise in the Hip-Hop and Rap genre. Some remarks in Thai lyric translation part: Molam= Thai-Isan local music "Papaya -Pok-Pok= Thai pun phrase means Som-Tam, Thai food made up from papaya-chopped mix up with chilli, tomato, garlic, palm sugar, lots of vegetable and others depends on varies area. BabyMetal, where in the US recently and a fancam got little bit of them Backstage watching SlipKnot having a great time . In an interview Su said she would love to do a collaboration with SlipKnot to see what chemistry they would make . Now Cory Taylor is a fan and BabyMetal did appear briefly in Cory Taylor must be stopped. Only briefly but you can not miss them . Collaborations with BabyMetal are usually epic so fingers crossed 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

I saw them in concert in Philly a couple years back before all the Covid stuff. It clearly wasn't on this level but it was still an amazing show to see.

​@@SlayWithBrandy You said you reacted to all their songs from previous albums and this one is their epic anthem so you probably already heard it, live in Japan 2015 official MV is the usual recommendation but is heavily blocked so be careful and put some heavy opacity or translucent effect if necessary. But if you want another unique version with a blast performance i recommend you the Legend Metal Galaxy 2020, is at BMRR channel 🦊🤘🔥

Nice reaction. Babymetal concerts always remind me of a line from a Van Halen song. "Sang so good that the roof fell in. Now everybody wanna go". They remind me of VanHalen in other ways too. They both are know from great concerts. Very entertaining. And mostly happy energetic songs. Babymetals first song was Doki Doki Morning. A song about waking up late and rushing to get ready for school. ever since then they've been telling us why they got up late. Even on the third album. Went to a music festival to just Bring it. Usually, they were performing at these things but here they are asking for the audience to bring it. Babymetal loves to feed off the energy of the crowd. This song just about guarantees that. There was a lot of towel waving during this song and Babymetal loved it. They mentioned it in an interview. So if ever get to go see them live be ready to wave that towel. Otherwise, you might get Moa's Kawaii pouty face or Su's death stare. Kawaii overload or death. Hmm just bring the towel. lol. Enjoy the rest of your journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

Live is where the girls really shine. If you want to watch BabyMetal it has to be live. With one exception. I always feel that Karate hits better with the MV. If you want to see a pit I would suggest Resistance live from Japan or I think it is Distortion from Sonisphere I believe it was Not sure what you have seen but Headbanger, Rondo of Nightmare, Catch Me if You can, No Rain No Rainbow. A few favorites. Headbanger from Legend of 97 shows the energy that the crowds have and the command the girls have of the crowd.

I agree 100% that Babymetal is best served live but I don't think anyone should dismiss some of their music videos out of hand. There are several Babymetal MV's that are real works of art: "Doki Doki Morning", "Iine!", "Karate", "Megitsune", and "BxMxC" are simply phenomenal! 🦊🤘

Understood. In my opinion it is best seeing the LIVE version first and then going back to see the MV (reacting to “iine” and “Doki Doki Morning” before seeing their LIVE performance might appear too childish and turn people off - it is already difficult for some to witness CMIYC LIVE and then “getting it” right off). I do think that watching the Karate MV before a LIVE performance does givethe song context though. My opinion of course.
