To me it screams .... ‘Country boy has already arrived in the big city!’ I was expecting more of the feel of the video and would have loved if he kept key elements ... for example the red vest and white peasant shirt! I think he did a great job for a first time live singing performance.

There are terrible expectations and pressure on Marko. By Sunday, all the little things can be corrected when he looks at the video. The performance is very energetic because we all expected it from him. I have never seen such support from the former countries of Yugoslavia, but also expectations in my life. In Croatia, Rim Tim Tagi Dim is slowly turning into the anthem of all young people. And can you just imagine what the people who went to the diaspora expect. There are millions of them and they all recognize themselves in that story. Terrible pressure on a performer who a month ago was a complete anonymous and who did not have enough time to prepare because he came from the reserve list.

Idk why everyone is criticising him so much it's literally his first time ever performing live, he's gonna improve. He just started singing recently so it's not his forte. The only things that need to be improved a bit is the chorus part and the way he holds the mic. The staging can be better as well but he has time to improve that. Also another big problem is how bad the sound is in general in the HRT studio. If he wins Dora he's gonna have a lot of time to improve for Eurovision anyways.

Marko is a singer-songwriter. He honestly admits that he is not a singer, that he did not hope to pass the Dora, so he did not have time to prepare. In 30 days, he gave numerous interviews, had to record a video and prepare a stage performance. He also admits that he lacks fitness for a dynamic stage performance and needs to work on that. It's not the same as standing and singing, or jumping on stage with a microphone in hand. Marko does his best and is aware of what he still needs to work on. Don't judge him, but support him because he deserves it. Baby Lasagna you the best !!! ❤️

Well I didn’t judge, I already said that he is the one who should win tomorrow. It’s just small small parts that need a small change in order for it to be performance of even winning Eurovision! But that all will come once he wins tomorrow

I LOVE this song! But I agree with your points about sound, vocals and staging. It's still good, but something doesn't hit the same as the video. I read somewhere that they had issues with the mic and mixing. And he's clearly nervous. I still think he is the best choice for Croatia. And my favourite for this eurovision ❤

I don't know if it was just that he was OVER excited or what it was, because later on, as you mentioned, he was much better. I imagine he must have been very very nervous, everybody expected so much from him, and so, I still have hopes for Sunday to be honest. I really think that if he focusses his energy more on what he should, he will be great. You remember Kaarija at first? He got much better during the preseason. So there is still hope for us I think 😂🙏😂🙏😂. The staging, there was a bit too much going on for me, I think it should be more polished and I think the musicians shouldn't be there. The washing etc was ok, but it got lost, the dancers were good though and maybe they should be more in sync with him during the first part. The electronic part I LOVED LOVED that was just what I wanted (except for the green, should be another colour 🙃)!!! And from there on, it was what I wanted it to be, great, then he showed his true abilities I think. Soooo, that's my opinion, was it perfect? Absolutely not. Is it still my favourite? Yes. The problem is that the staging is very random and made up off a bunch of elements that don't go togther. He's dressed in a halloween glam rock costume, the dancers are in some sort of leather one pieces, the drummer is in a tshirt and lace on his head and the girl doing the laundry is in a folk costume. Less is more in this case

Nooo I won’t give up! As I said in the video ! This is still the song to go to Eurovision from all the songs that Dora has. And there are many moments of the performance that were actually very good. With some small changes he wins and after that the rest is history because in Malmö they will make an amazing performance. I read that he went to the toilet 4 times before he performs heheh I love him. And you’re right about kaarija he became better with every performance… I am glad I have you in the comments always heheh because I feel like the stuff that I oversee you remind me of 😀🩷

All the ingredients are there. I agree, it just needs some refinement. A headset mic, for starters, would help so he has both hands free. I'm not wild about the Kaarija sleeves and the green. I know imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but that was too brazen. Marko can do this on his own. I would also prefer visuals of real farm animals rather than the digital animals in the background. For his first performance on a big stage, he did exceptionally well. (And please ignore the Kula person who commented--a Let3 disciple who is spamming every reaction to this because of his/her/their insecurity about Let3's chances.)

I think it would be better if in the LED is shown something else, maybe a grandmother banging her head in the beat of the song. Why not. For all the hype and buzz lets be honest this needs a lot of work… and more so a complete reset in regards to the staging and his outfit especially. So, I love the song and I love the lad even more. I only hope he manages to translate all this fan-love he gets to more confidence on stage in time. I think it can happen. Let him win Dora and he can work it out for Malmo. Now the staging concept... 1 I love the coloured animals trance parade! Keep that!! 2 I love the granny's lace-towels on the drumset. Keep that!!! 3 His outfit is mostly good but needs some polishing. There's something wrong with his head. He's a handsome lad but comes as very pale. Part of it is because of his nervous facial expressions and his inconfident body posture. After fixing that, something might need to change styling-wise. Let his beautiful face stand out more. The chocker might have to go cause it's shrinking the face-frame. We may need some daring and out there make up and hair styling. And then of course better lights on him and close up camera shots. The face of a winner can not be pale, can not be fading into the background. Take this beauty and bring it to the front. 4 Now the background staging. Needs polishing for sure. It's quite too messy. And not in a way that would add energy or fun. It's distraction and confusion more than anything else. See what Kaarija did. Because the comparisom is there of course. Kaarija had a perfect staging. A proper winner staging. It was crazy, daring, energetic, fun BUT it was very sleek and very specific. All the suggestions were very clean and loud. Leaving us with no confusion. Lasagna needs work with that. Craziness doesn't mean giving up to chaos. Keep the animals, keep the lace-toweled drumset, the rest needs work. Be careful with the lights and for sure do something with the dancers. The male dancer is gorgeous (the girl is ok too :p ) and I wouldn't necessarily get rid of him but make them do something more specific and well thought out. They currently seem a bit random. Just adding noise and distraction on the stage. They need a proper choreo and suitable styling. If they are not clearly complimenting Lasagna, they shouldn't be there. I 'd say keep them but complitely change what they do. And finally, of course what everybody says. The sound mix. It's crucial to fix that. He needs to feel confident for his voice, he knows he's not a singer, we know it, we are fine with it, our love does not require big notes and impressive technic. The song doesn't need it, we don't need it, make sure he doesn't need it and bring him full on loud and proud to the front. He's not Pavarotti, he's a charmer and an entertainer and that's precious enough. I don't think the juries in Malmo will support him enough but a televote top5 (at least) is very achievable and I think it would be a lovely success story for a so fresh artist. Wish him the best, can't wait to enjoy him shining in Malmo!

Love the song, love the music video and like the performance. I’m just confused if he’s going for humor with the graphics and dancers or serious hard rock with the masks? There’s also no interaction with the people in the back “playing” the instruments or even really the dancers so I feel it’s very disconnected. I think if he let the dancers move more and let him have more stable but strong movements it would go better for him. Also would lose the arm covers. But he seems to be a very nice guy and the song is great so I’m hoping for the best for him. 🎉

I think what we've experiencing here is his inexperience at performing live. He has a great energy and he has great pitch - but his breathing is off and largely because he is moving around so much. With his breathing being off, it is affecting his vocal. Ever heard stories of Beyonce practicing singing on a treadmill? That's all for her breathing. He may need to coordinate his movement a little better to ensure he isn't sounding out of breath throughout his performance. Otherwise, for someone new to the stage, he did a great job.

@@lucijazavrski I actually loved Let 3 last year. I was surprised how much I frequently went back to their track when listening to the year's entries. They were great live as well, and I was thrilled they made the final. As an Australian and aware that we'll probably never win Eurovision (for obvoius reasons!), I'm always happy to be exposed to music from European artists that I would not normally hear about.

Bit of a wardrobe disfunction...sleeves and top are too cumbersome...they interfere in his freedom of movement.....He needs "the RED vest" as the lack of colour both clothes and hair have washed him out....maybe even colur hair back to dark. The lightness is too ethereal...image needs to get "grounded" Just a tweak or 2 and he's good to go. 🇭🇷❤🇭🇷

The camera angles are missing. The camera direction from croatia is poor. I would like him to change his outfit just a little to not lose the Istrian national outfit. But there is something from the Istrian outfits there. I also want them to get more backup dancers and for them to dance as they did in the music video. Anyway. The camera direction. For croatia its always the camera direction. In Let3 performance last uear it was the same problem on eurovision. It was an even bigger problem with Albina a few years back too

Both videos give out the folk tradition as well as 1900s vibe, when many people emigrated from these parts, he should have kept the emphasis on the style from the videos and garner it with some rock/metal details. And that energetic folk stomp dance should be the firm basis for the choreography, not waving hands and tiptoeing about like some ballet dancers.

For what it's worth it's been known from first rehersals that HRT screwed up the lighting and made it green. Apparently, he wanted it red. I have no idea why they weren't able to fix it. For what we know, some genious from HRT decided Kaarija flashbacks would be better. And the puffy sleeves are a part of the Istrian traditional outfirlt and a black vest. So he is keeping it traditional in that regard, although I would also like to see a bit less puff.

Pretty much agree with you. Still my winner, absolutely. The energy is there, the singing is there, and the concept is there too, but the staging needs an improvement. I'd said specially with the dancers, I love when they do that traditional dance in the rim tim tagi dim, but not that much some parts of the dance. It's a bit off. Also seemed like there was some problem with the mic, or maybe with the distance of the mic? Anyway, he said in the press con that he was overly excited and that he was conscious about the vocal issues. I'm sure on that part he's gonna be better on Sunday. It was his first time on a big stage, I mean, the nerves should have been there. But yeah, for me he should improve the staging. But hey, last year Käärijä was a bit of a mess too in the national final, and then they improved for Eurovision, so there's time to fix that. Going to give some real criticism here because I want this to do well if/when it gets to Malmö And I am going to be blunt. The song is great here. The staging is really good. The outfit...needs help. The puffy sleeves are too similar to Käärijä's green bolero look from last year... and even worse that it's in a similarly upbeat song, so the comparison is going to be drawn. Get rid of the puffy sleeves for Malmö. You do not want to be compared to Käärijä the year after he did his song because you will be considered the knock-off!!! In my Top 5 already!!! Well I like it, you’re on point and blunt indeed 🥇 The song is great and I said in the video it’s a song that could win the televoting. The staving needs improvement in my opinion. Some stuff need to be taken out and some moments more shown. Other than that… he should be the one who wins and goes to Malmö indeed 😊

He will. We all agree that there is a lot of work to do for Malmö, but he has time, and will get the support of everyone in the Croatian music industry. I have no doubts he will sound much much better at the ESC. 😉

sorry darling - but Baby is trying to ride on a Cha Cha wave. And the original is SO much better; the song it self, the voice and staging. Where Käriijâ told us a story through the staging and sceneshow - Baby give us something very random. As Baby try to ride this wave - he must see the necessity to bring something that is even better than the original - and sorry - he does not.@@georgikanevESC

I don’t like this song. I would like to like, but I find it aggressive and without vocals. But not everyone should have the same tastes…

Well of course not! I also don’t like every single Eurovision song that comes out and sometimes songs that end up top 5 in the final

Left this comment on the Dora video so might as well copy and paste: There's a lot of hype with Eurovision fans around this. The studio cut of the song did nothing for me. The music video is a good selling point - very well produced and he looks great in it. It made me like the song more and appreciate the lyrical content. This performance is rather underwhelming, and needs a lot of work for the Eurovision stage. I'm sorry but I don't see it anywhere close to being a Eurovision winner right now if it manages to clinch the Dora trophy, and all this hype you're putting on him is only increasing the pressure and expectation.

Evan tho the song is good the live is terible. I tryed to convince myself but i just cant get behind that bad staging and bad outfits but the coreo is soooo bad especially at the end where he keeos punching air like what is that... its terible sorry i am disapointed

@@JNL76 idk i see a lot of people defending it but okey i would get id the vocals are the only problems but they have no sence of style, fashion or staging. Like who did this its terible waste of money. Idk i dont want this to go to eurovision lioe this when there is like 2/3 others who did better with staging and live vocals

@@markojovanovic5901 Personally, I think generally DORA was having trouble. There were weird fashion choices, even weirder dress changes mid performances, terrible sound/vocals of a lot of singers and caotic staging in a lot of performances. So based only on the live performances we have seen these nights, yes, definately I think others were way better than Baby Lasagna, no doubt about it. Damir for example was vocally impeccable. Lu Dedic was my second absolute favourite in her studio version and live she definately didn't disappoint me. And there were others that were very good. So, if Baby doesn't win, I would absolutely understand.

I just watched the video someone below here recommends: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kWeIpdmGf862YaQ.html . It's not just similar to a small part of the song you mention, the Rim Tim Tagi Dim part is exactly the same as "Espectro" from Adrian de la Vega 😱
