Arch Enemy is a Swedish death metal band. In her previous bands, Alyssa White-Gluz made clean rock vocals, or operatic. But in Arch Enemy, she's following the growling (fry vocals) of the previous vocalist, Angela Gossow (who's manager of the band and has solo work and colabs). Growling, without technique, blows the vocal chords, damages the larinx, but Alyssa know how to do it properly. If you like female growling vocalists check the bands X-Tintion, Blind Ivy, Walls of Jericho, Your Chance To Die, Abnormality, Frantic Amber. Cripper.
