The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. TVS Victor now competes with Yamaha RX

Rx100 feels like it has VTEC in it's engine as it hits high RPM it just pulls and speeds up drastically. Really a legend for a reason 🔥🔥

Those people are lucky who have this bike I cried lot for this bike but I can't afford it😢
My '95 baby will go for restoration later this month and is now in completely dismantled state. I am not letting the hunger die by immersing myself in your vlogs and you are doing a fantastic job. Love you bro.. For not making unnecessary and low quality content. I had a query, about how you managed to remove the dents from the exhaust and get it chromed.

I still remember my old days when I used to go college with it. golden days😍
As a Gladiator SS125 owner, I know why he likes that brake so much. The Gladiator SS125 was basically a slightly bigger & more modernized version of the RX series, basically a love child of the RX100 & the RX135. Wish Yamaha kept making the SS125

I learned riding on this bike in 2002 . It’s amazing. Dil khush ho gaya aawaaz sunn kar. Unfortunately banned in Delhi. Ushke baad CBZ ride kiya and now using new BS6 Model Bullet.

Bro you should definitely try it for offroading. When you try it you'll get the real feel of the bike unmatched by any. I'm not kidding I recently drove one as my friend insisted. We were just crusing and the front wheel lifted even in second gear 😜 with my friend sitting at the back. Then as we drove through a corner my friend told me to go offroading and we took a turn towards a footpath road- the road was steep really steep about 45degrees and the condition was awful meaning there were small crevasses in the middle of the dirt road because of the soil erosion in rainy season- but nonetheless I downshifted to 1st gear and hold tight - Man I can't describe what it feels like- the bike just kept pulling and pulling and all I have to do was steer it. With my friend at the back sometimes I feel like I have to stand up to put the weight in front because it was very steep. It was the most exhilarating feeling of my life. About half a min I kept on holding the throttle and boy oh boy the bike didn't let me down. Indeed a legend. I've never felt anything that exciting in my life. A legend for a reason. Yamaha RX 💯

Two stroke engine is very powerful can tear apart from traffic with sudden burst of power throttle and lightning quick pickup. RX100 is a legend! Stallion of modern century a true warhorse a fine arabian war horse used by gangs in their war like warrior in ancient world used arabian horse in battlefield.

For re reg. If u having another state reg. U have to get noc valid n pay tax is main. And restore is based on whose hand u giving to restore n based on budget.

This was my father's first bike😄 rx100. My father use to drop me to school on this bike good old days. Abhi bhi yaad hai evening k time mei papa hamesha ghumane le jaate the ish bike mei🥺. Bas kabhi gussa ata hai ki bike chori hogaya 🙂aur mila bhi nahi. Ab yeh bike bohot kam logo k paas he hai.

Yeh PUC done is Online or Off line? In Howrah West Bengal 2 stroke bikes are not getting PUC and here there is no mobile Van available. I have a RX135 Catalytic model in New Condition but Unrestored fully 2001 model not getting PUC because of Smoke.
