I’m SOOOOO with Gabe when he said “I’m a sucker for being able to work things out without fighting” you can argue or debate but there’s no reason to be screaming or yelling or get all excited. Talking it out with proper communication is KEY.

My husband has several female friends, a few of them stood on his side at our wedding. I always feel invited to hang out with them but don’t always want to lol and don’t mind at all if they’re hanging out together on their own. It’s more about how the friendship makes you feel, not strict unchanging rules.

I agree! I adore his female friends and they always include me in everything but I don't really like to get in the way too much they were friends before me so I like to give them their time to catch up sometimes. Friends really can make or break relationships. If I wouldn't trust him with my or his female friends alone together than we shouldn't be together period. Vice versa too.

I agree. Plus, this opposite sex mentality only works for straight couples. Lots of LGBTQ couples have friends of the same and opposite sex. Friends are important and shouldn't be dictated by a relationship.

With the opposite sex one, I feel like the friend has to be a friend of the relationship instead of just the one half of the couple. The friend has to know both people in the couple so that both people in the couple are comfortable with them and trust them

This is funny because I was all about the question “you have to ASK me to be your girlfriend before I am” with the boyfriend I have now. And he didn’t understand why he had to ask me. It was a big thing 😂 but in his defence, he thought of our relationship in a more organic way I suppose, that we were just growing into boy friend and girlfriend naturally and so nothing needed to be said because it was the natural progression of things. Idk if it’s just a guy/girl thing, but we know many couples where the girl wanted to be asked and the guy had the same idea/opinion. Long story short tho, he did end up asking me 😂

Haha same here, I told my man's about when he was going to officially ask me ti be his gf. The day came and I was like soo did you remember or did you forget. Hahaha

as a girl with a boyfriend of 5 years and 4 of them being long distance, very early on we were clear that we really wanted to talk on video call the most, then voice call then text (besides my boyfriend is dyslexic and doesn't like texting in general lol) i think its super important because it helps reduce misunderstandings and miscommunications, its so much nicer to hear and see someone and make eye contact when you're talking to them, especially when they're miles away!

I LOVE how mature you two are. It's so refreshing listening to your points of view. The way you show respect to each other, how you complete each other's thoughts... Amazing. Love you so much ❤️

Love hearing about your views on leaving for the honeymoon and not helping cleaning ! In France, the married couple stay at the wedding party all night long and they clean the venue with some family members and friends, and they eat the leftovers together. The honeymoon comes weeks or even months later ! Always thought it was kinda rude for the married couple to leave before everyone else whenever they show that in a movie or a show, but I get it now ! Love you guys 💕

my grandma & grandpa didn't have the time / money to do a honeymoon when they first married but a few months later it worked out for them to join some friends on a trip and they just used that for their honeymoon.

A year or so later, we tried again and been going for 6 years now! It really just depends on the people/situation :)
