A lot of people can’t wrapped that around their heads…When you tippy toes you move in the same slow paste with suspense and quite..That’s why the beat is almost monotone throughout the song..Jackson Wang said this group is the future of A-POP(Asian-pop) not KPOP…

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you. The whole song is keeping us teasing for more, waiting for more..so if you go all out at once, it gets boring afterwards. The way this group debuted is genial, because it will catch the attention for new releases.. basically keeping us on our "tippy toes" (pun intended).

Well they put the pressure on themselves to make the next release showing off each ones' vocal abilities more. If this debut release was to keep us on our tippy toes, because personally I didn't hear anything from this song that really impressed me so far. But I'm probably spoiled by the impressive debut's of Aespa and Itzy. No hate, just my personal taste from what I've heard so far. Their next release could change my mind, I just need more to form a fair opinion.

@@Heart_Nattie Since this is basically YG's new girl group I'm expecting more out of the gate. YG is 2 for 2 when it comes to GGs. 2NE1 and BlackPink , XG has a lot of pressure to succeed.

this is not "YG's girls group". the company is AVEX in JAPAN.

Their concept is Hip Hop/RnB. They were produced by a 2nd Gen Kpop idol member, they trained for 5 years, used YG's studios but they are not connected to YG Ent. I think maybe you might appreciate it more if you watched their pre-debut stuff, cause I think it's more about showcasing their talent rather than just admiring the whole production or song. I think it's preference cause I love the simplicity, it's not loud or over the top but still confident and fierce.

I honestly think this debut song was meant to keep you on your "tippy toes". They are introducing you to their sound and not giving you or less. But this is also a group who's hip hop and r&b influenced, I dont think them do much EDM. I love it and the members, although I wouldn't put it as the best debut song, I do like the song

Agree to disagree - I loved the minimalist aesthetic; the slow, wide shots; and the crisp, clean production. When this dropped I had no idea who they were or that is was coming; now, I'm intrigued. This was interesting. The writing was tight, the delivery and execution were on point, as were the attitude and attention to detail. I got to see group choreo, hear vocals and harmonies, and get a sense of their style. Overall - it looks like their team has a great sense of control: it feels (to me) that they trust their vision and their concept, and are willing to let that speak for itself. For me, it works. And her stage name is Harvey? That's not intriguing?!?!?!

The thing with this group is: They are not K-pop, they are not from YG, they are a Hip-Hop R&B group. Actually this Hip-Hop R&B group thing are from their website. So I dont expect the loud songs in kpop at all. I think 4 of the 3 members was models before debut.

Something that was extremely refreshing about this is it didn’t actually sound like K-pop/j-pop/C-pop etc artist trying to make a English song! something that people don’t want admit is a lot of the time I don’t care who it is English music that’s made by Idol you hear it and it never sounds like anything a Western artist would do! it’s so clear that it’s a foreign artist making English music and I unfortunately thats sometimes why it doesn’t stick long with the GP outside of being a trend! so I actually like the fact that this is a song that if I heard it I wouldn’t just automatically assume I would just think maybe if somebody I’ve never heard of so they did a good job with blending the sounds!

I wanna believe that in the future the company give them what they deserve cause their vocals and rap skills are really dope.

This is boring to you but to others this is a bop! This song is the epitome of a debut solo! This is a statement from them to keep your eyes peeled because they are on the rise! Which I definitely agree with. Yeah it may not be the biggest as far as production but it’s still serves the purpose they were trying to bring!

Love them coz they ain't tryna be blackpink. They have their own style. Coz blackpink can only outdo themselves. Will support this group. Vocals and rappers so as dancing on point. Can't wait for their next single

I believe XG is under AVEX (japanese label) and possibly yg japan company? Theyre also branded as a global group, probably not tied to a specific language. All of them are japanese.

not collaborating with YG JAPAN. They are not part of YG. YG JAPAN and AVEX partnership is called YGEX and it is only for YG artists promotion in Japan. XG debut in AVEX not YGEX. The XG label is XGALX/AVEX JAPAN the person who created this group is a 2nd generation kpop group DMTN member JAKOPS Simon (Japanese and korean half/nationarity is japanese/a one time AVEX trainee)and he started this company of XGALX which is a subsidiary of avex japan.

Four of them are 20, one is 18 then we have a 17 and a 16 years old

You gotta watch the choreography version, I feel like the MV version cuts disrupted the flow of the song but the choreo version is perfect for this song

i think YG and XGalX clarified that YG Ent. is in no way related to XG, but they definitely got a popularity boost from those rumors haha. i liked the song, won’t add it to my playlist but would 100% come back to watch the mv!

XG is a group that was created through systematic hard work through global projects for over 5 years. The group consists of Japanese members who practiced in Korea with the K-pop system and set global goals with English songs. XG Executive Producer Jakops (Junho Park) debuted as a singer in Korea and has been engaged in Kpop as a producer and composer for over 13 years. His father is Korean, his mother is Japanese, he is of Japanese nationality and was born in the United States. XG's song composition and group concept were all produced by him. The songs on 'Tippy Toess' are well thought out, addictive and stylish. It looks like an evolved version of Kpop. Making a song in English is an important point. In that sense, XG group will be a group that can receive enough stimulation for K-pop.

April 22, 2022, producer JAKOPS said on Instagram Live, "I've been working on the XG project for 4years and my base was mostly in Japan" They are under AVEX. they were training in Japan.‬  (They were training at「AVEX ARTIST ACADEMY HEAD OFFICE STUDIO」in JAPAN ＊XG video: (The Beginning ,The Journey) YGX appears momentarily, but most of it is a training scene at 「AVEX ARTIST ACADEMY HEAD OFFICE STUDIO」) The MV producer and choreographer are Korean and were shot in South Korea. The first video was uploaded in February 2022. Given that, they may have been in South Korea for preparation in 2021. I think Simon's four years mean either the four years from 2017 to 2021. The MV dance performance uses YGX, but YGX is a dance studio, so anyone can use.

The title is “Tippy Toes”..they are keeping you on your tippy toes..They are not giving you that much(for example the beat is kinda boring)but it works for a debut..we are so used to hear from kpop with extraordinary beats and loud horn and a bunch of things going on..For me I’m very open minded when it comes to music,so it’s easy for me to adopt and give them a chance..It’s totally different from your traditional kpop sounds.

I share this opinion too. I also think XG are going for a global appeal. They’re not J-Pop. They’re not trying to imitate K-Pop. They’re more like Little Mix and Fifth Harmony. I wish them the best because I know they will need to be heavily promoted in places like the U.K. and the U.S.A.

I agree with you on a spiritual level. I feel like they could have added a reggaeton/mombathon beat to some parts to give it more hype, maybe for the outro, like what CLC did at the end of Black Dress. Also, I noticed that the blonde girl did not have any singing or rapping parts in this at all? Something really feels off about this debut.

Co-sign. It’s a weird first drop for so much hype building up to this. I’m sure they’ll drop some bangers soon since the girls are clearly all so skilled, but I think this was a misstep from their team. First impressions are important, bad time to choose to hold back.

Oh this *IS* an introduction alright. Beat is boring, vocals were mid, video is nothing special, choreo was slow and yet it still gives a vibe? The whole team not putting out all of their tricks with this release is the true definition of the SONG. "Imma keep you (all) on tippy toes".

Yeah, it pretty much sucked. Some pretty faces and interesting voices, but this song and video were boring. Hopefully the next one is better.

Imitating western music you mean... Regardless, I liked it. Better than most Kpop girl groups if we're being honest, but to each their own.

🌎Fun Facts: XG is almost K-POP band. Korean dancer(Hyojin Choi) made XG’s choreography, Korean producer(Jacops) made XG’s song & music. And XG is trained in Korea for 5 years by K-POP training system. But all the members are Japanese.
