The Dung Eater ended the persecution of the Omens by transforming everyone into Omens. When everyone is cursed, it stops being a curse and becomes a blessing. The Golden Order needlessly demonized, persecuted and hunted down those with signs of the Crucible, causing inimaginable amount of deaths and despair, and they suffered the consequences for it. Love how morally grey this ending is, as everyone can interpret the results differently (Does stopping the Omen persecution justify the Dung Eater's gruesome actions? Does it justify ending the Erdtree cycle of rebirth?, etc.)

My favorite don't cry! I love the parallels between the dung eaters curse to that of something like cancer or leperacy reviled blessing indeed

I'm not sure if it was said, but the name Dung Eater comes from Japanese myth, specifically that a persons soul is located in an organ close to rear. He got the name not from literately eating crap, but from taking the fastest route to a person's soul to defile it.

I think this is a very morally grey ending. Yes, the Dung Eater actually did a good thing by ending the persecution of those born with characteristics of the crucible, but he hurt so many people in the process, robbing them of their chance at rebirth and making it so all their children would be born disfigured and hated. Also, he didn’t do it with good intentions in mind, he did it to punish the people who mistreated him. Such an interesting ending.

Dung Eater voice actor ( Jim Johnson ) really did a phenomenal job ! He really did makes us all feel uneasy, terrified and chills to the spine with his voice especially these part 31:08 and 40:43 and so on . 10/10 ! Btw The Blessing of Despair is the least favorite ending ( true bad ending ) in Elden Ring, which is understandable 🤣. My impressions after watching this ending its like "Okay.... moving on to the next ending" and i don't wanna to know anymore of it because its just so misery and sorrow i guessed 🤔. Btw i enjoyed the reaction as always, can't wait for more !

When you look at the omen twins, you see two sides of the same coin for thoe who have suffered abuse. Mohg developed a hatred for all those who had abandoned him and casted him aside, determined to make a new order in their place, even gaining a new "mother" in the process to replace the one he never had. But morgott? Morgott fawned. He tried his best to be "good enough", perhaps in thehope that one day he would be forgiven for faults that were not his own. Even going so far as to seemingly cut off some of his own horns. Truly heartbreaking.

It's not about feeling bad for the dung eater, he was not a man but their suffering manifested, an outcome of pain to those who would cast out those born different, an ugliness grown from others, a chance at revenge through a twisted sense of 'peace.'

To me at least the dung eater's ending is actually the best ending as it not only ends the age of stagnation by reintroducing death to the lands between (I'll be it a slightly different version of it) but it also gets rid of the nafarius and corrupt beings that threw into conflict in the first place however I will say that I think the dung eater specifically might take a little to much pleasure in what he does
