    @Im Chillin False. Yes, everyone prefers long hair but see if they say, "Short 4 type hair vs short 2 or 1 or 3 type of hair." People wouldn't choose 4; which is where all the difference come from. Stop making this an all live matter situation and understand context.

    The fist time I ever wore my natural hair out, I was 12 years old, and I walked into a church and GROWN ADULDTS looked at me and just laughed the wordy part is, THE FRICKEN PASTOR LAGHED THE HARDEST. They told me I looked like I was electrocuted, that I needed a hair cut, And the worst thing about it, they said I was not aloud to serve at the alter with my hair out because it look “unprofessional” and it really made me feel bad, at this time, I was 12 years old, AND THESE WERE FUCKING ADULTS. From then on I decided that I was gonna wear my hair out every day to prove them wrong. It was the best decision I ever made.

    I’m so sorry that you went through that as Christians we should know better but sadly some churches are doing more damage than saving people like we were called to do. I’m happy that churches now are calling out the things that the older generation used to do and calling out new churches. We’re currently trying to redo their mistakes and build the church the correct way. Mistakes will be made but we’re taking accountability now and working on improving. God bless!

    I’m not 100% sure which hair type I have but it’s kind of like a 2c or 3a and I just feel like everyone who lifts up curly hair means only like 3c and all type 4 curls which is really sad because I have curly hair too and I personally think my hair is beautiful but I don’t want to be told by anyone that my hair isn’t as beautiful because it’s not type 4. And I’m not trying to tie race into it either but most black women only lift up type 4 hair because type 4 is more common in black women but I lift up the entire curly hair community and unfortunately I’m white and I don’t have type 4 hair :( but sometimes it would be nice to receive compliments on my curls from anyone of any race especially the black community because they usually only compliment other black women and their type 4 hair :( I hope this doesn’t offend anyone I tried to say it in a non offensive way

  • @franklinbrooks7857

    @franklinbrooks7857

    Riley Long Most black women uplift type four hair because it’s been shamed and called derogatory names up until the last year or so. I personally have no problem with black women hyping other black women up for wearing their type four hair bc coarse hair has always been perceived as ugly up until recently (as in the last 2 years), whereas looser hair types (3c and up) have been appreciated for decades. If you noticed a kid was being bullied for her hair, would you tell her her hair is beautiful or would you tell the entire class (including the bullies) that their hair is beautiful. That’s like asking for reassurance when you don’t need any.

  • @rileylong3650

    @rileylong3650

    3 жыл бұрын

    Franklin Brooks yeah I understand that I didn’t meant to make it seem like I had a problem with them hyping each other up I just think we should hype up all hair types and everyone for their hair no matter their race or hair type which is what a lot of people are doing less of today because a lot of people are starting to stick with their own race and culture these days rather than venturing out and appreciating everyone’s differences if that makes sense

    There's a KZreadr who is a very light skinned biracial woman that has 4b or 4c hair. Her sister has the normal 3a pattern hair that is associated with biracial children.

    I spend at least 30 minutes doing my hair in the morning and that's just to do 2 buns... Having 4c hair is so complicated but its cute at times if you know how to take care of it
