As a polish person I am very proud of polish dubbing from my childhood being exposed to other nations

Snufkin just always has the most soothing voice no matter what language :3

The Polish realy just invented Brooklyn Sniff

It's so /weird/ to hear my native language and English language and understand them /both/ while knowing you have no idea what they're saying. I'm glad you still liked Polish dubbing ^^

All of the nordic dubs are very close to my heart ❤ And yes and no, finnish and icelantic (other than finnish-swedish) is not very close to scandinavian other than a few words and the nordic accents Its more danish-swedish-norwegian that is almost the same. We are usually able to understand each other :) Also, many of the polish voices is surprisingly good, without having to sound as soft, as the Moomins often do. I like the polish dub

OMG it's so weird where I understand Polish nd English I'm glad you liked the dub ^-^

Kind of a shame there is no comparison for Groke's voice for the entire scene, because yes, for you English dub watchers, she "speaks" more than this. Most of the terror of the Finnish dub (aside from the fact that the damaged cartoon slides made the scene much darker) is the fact that Groke is constantly growling in this unnatural manner. For anyone interested, I suggest checking the video The Moomins confront the Groke - Finnish dub (w/ English subtitles) The Moomins by removemouth.

As a half Norwegian person, I absolutely love Snorkmaiden’s voice and absolutely hate Hemulen’s voice lmao.

the norweigen one sounds like a mix between the 2019 voice and his 90’s voice

I really like the narrator in the Nordic dub-- it really sounds like an old storyteller you mysterisouly find in a library. And I'm starting to think all Mamma dubs are top tier no matter the language 😂😂 Nordic Snorkmaiden's voice is 💖💖💖

my mom grew up with the polish dub! it's actually how i got into moomin, too!

Fun fact: The Norwegian dub Are actually the second Norwegian dub, dubbed for home release, but only episode 1-52 was re-dubbed, except for episode 35, 38 and 50, altought episode 12, 31, 50 and 51 wasn't dubbed TV, which means episode 50 wasn't dubbed in Norwegian at all, but luckily it's never to late to dub episode 50, and re-dub episode 35 and 38, all three for home release. Somebody need to talk with SDI Media in Norway about the remaining episodes, but nobody knows how, they obviously don't notice any messages from anyone.

I dis not her what you meant with episode 12 IT was dubbed to tv but not Home release. IT is hard to fine a copy og that one but IT exists

Gosh this Finnish Groke's giving me exorcist vibes😱

If you go on Dailymotion and search Gamleskatter you will find the whole orginal Norwegian dub of the moomins. It was a huge project last year where he asked people from the whole country who had the orginial dubs recorded on vhs when they still aired the tv dub and send them to him som he could upload them. After 2003 they stopped airing the tv dub and went for the Vhs realsed dub. So there was almost nobody who har acess to them. I looked after these dubs for over 10 years and now almost all of them are on Gamleskatter.

The norwegian dub has a very special place in my heart, and I can now only watch this series in this dub now since I've watched it my entire life. But one small problem I do have is that every character has, like, 2-3 different voice actors, some even have more than that!! Moomin has freaking 4 different actors!! Some characters do get better voices late on, like Snork and Hemulen, and luckily when they get new actors they do stick around for a while, mostly.. There is nothing wrong with those voices, but... sometimes the voices consistency is off the roof!

Watch the og broadcast dub. Then the voice actor for moomin stays the same. And hemulen and snork has the best voice actors in that version in my opinion

You should aslo check out the Norwegian broadcast dub since they have different voice actors for sine characters the only ones that Are the same is snufkin an muminpapa. But it sounds abit different and sone og the lines Are different too. The grokes voice is different too. For this version you saw hete they sent with a more normal voice bit om the broadcast dub she sounds more like a monster.

The norwegian's commenting here are being nice about the fact that our dub have extremly inconsistant voice actors. The guy voicing the hemulen in this reaction also voices Snufkin, he is the sole reason I find "snufmin" so uncomfortable XD They also didn't bother getting guest actors most of the time, so who-ever had the least amount of lines got to voice all the side characters... The invisible child gets interesting, Snufkin's va does his best to not sound like snufkin, poor too-ticky...

Snufkin and Mr. Hemulen being voiced by the same person is an...interesting choice 😂 wouldn't have seen that one coming. And the english dub did the same with all the side characters. Stacy Gregg voiced close to half the women

As a fin who of corse grew up with finish dub I thought that no one could beat our iconic groke's voice but as soon as I heard the Arabic groke I think my heart skipped a beat💀 For me that is the most terrifing and best groke voice to ever be there

Polish dub has a sronger volum and that's good, but i think's the groke voce in english is good. But in the norwegian voce of littel my is amazing❤❤❤

The finnish and swedish voice actor for Moomin is the same person

wow i just realized whils collecting some of the clips from the norwegian broadcast dub and the vhs release that the first vhs voice for stinky is the same voice actor for snufkin. and he is also my favorite stinky voice too.

You really need to watch the danish!! As and honest fan who had seen a Lot of dubs. Danish is the BEST!

I have alot og the Norwegian dub available i could make a compilstion video with all the different voices. So if you wanna react to all the voices of the characters. I also think this sniff voice is the best. But i also like the original broadcast dub sniff too

@@moomshroomsoup Claudia Lössl is quality. 🤩 She was also the German voice for Sailor Venus.

Please don't even try to listen to Czech dub. It's so bad, I used to be terrified of the Moomin series as a child. I can't believe anyone could mess a show just by a terrible dub.
