Not only Hwasa, all of them were told to be ugly, even their company told them that thei weren't pretty or tall enough as idols have to be, so they have to put their efforts into making good music to be famous. I'm an ARMY and I think I like mamamo so much bc they have a similar start to BTS.... they have more freedom to be themselves(which made them have people criticizing them) thanks to not focus on be that "perfec girlfriend" that majority of idols have to be in order to make they dreams come true. and they transformed that hate into good music♡ they found their own style. I respect them so much. They become sexy and beauty icons proving that you don't have to fit into beauty standars to be beautiful♡

I may like songs from different groups, but the groups that I truly stan are bts and mamamoo only.

Am I the only one to think that BTS & Mamamoo are super similar? Both kinda the underdog in the industry (small company, super work ethic, literal blood, sweat and tears) to climb to the top with mainly their talent, proving they are artists and not just idols? Despite parts being cut from broadcast? I feel the same unstoppable force within both groups 💖

My fav boygroup is BTS. My fav girlgroup is definitely MAMAMOO. Both come from small company but they get bigger because of their talent. I'm so proud of them. Both of them are South Korea's favourite group.

its true that Mamamoo and BTS and a few other successful groups truly started from the bottom - if you didn't debut in a huge agency like SM (Red Velvet, EXO etc), YG (Bigbang 2ne1, Blackpink) and JYP (Got7, Twice, Itzy) its hard for your debut to get noticed whilst big agencies groups are anticipated and have a lot of fans, privileges from the very beginning. Its like a race essentially but they have the headstart - not to say they didn't work hard. Whereas others are relatively unknown for the early years of their career and essentially made their agency what it is.

Hope this helps Musa💕💕 Being a trainee is really hard most trainees have to go through intense things like not being allowed to go back and see family and getting as little as five pounds to eat for 2 days. Some trainees have to get weighed before they go out and when they come back in to make sure they haven't eaten. On top of all that usually the average trainee trains at least 3-5 years some ppl train up to 10 years and there's no guarantee that they will debut. If they choose to leave the company they have to pay a fee for breaking the contract something like 100k or more. If you end up debuting and your not successful u still need to find a way to pay of your debt to the company for all the singing,dancing and rapping lessons they paid for. Your debt could be up to 500,000 pounds or more ( everything I said depends on which company you train with)

Was into kpop long ago, then started listening to it again thanks to Mamamoo BP are really good at their craft indeed, with marketing schemes that are borderline genius But Mamamoo are the best in my opinion at being artists

I liked some BP songs, I was a blink(now I dunno anymore) I'm still thankful to BP because I got into Kpop because of them. But when I discovered Mamamoo damn they stole my attention away from BP. I agree to your comment.

Blackping is a great girl group and does trending music with high budget MVs, but Mamamoo are true artists with a powerful, mature sound and meaningful lyrics, which is unusual for most of the K-pop girl groups and in my opinion, their music is on another level and they have a great potential to become world stars! If their company was as powerful as YG and if they had the support that BP receives, they would be on the top of the chain right now! I am happy you got the chance to get to know them as a group first

Let's talk about struggles . Mamamoo had always struggled and is still struggling for getting what they actually fucking deserve . Yesterday #respectmamamoo was trending because of all the hate they get on Twitter specially hwasa ..most of the hate comes from toxic fans of blackpink and other gg because i guess they feel insecure about themselves seeing them succeed and breaking illogical standards and stereotypes for women , around december Wheein was harrased by a man who works in army ( can u fucking believe it ??!) and nobody cared about it enough ( this act in any other country would've been a great issue and security measures would've been taken for gg but naaaah it was about mamamoo so yeah let's just ignore) , recently in MMA 2019 ..one of the biggest award shows in country mistreated mamamoo by giving them 7 minutes(least) to perform on stage( the time was even lesser than rookie groups), MAMA in 2018 didn't provide girls proper changing rooms ( they had to change in washrooms ! ) Before they were mocked about - dresses and makeup - being ugly ( god knows from where ) - their ages - low budgets People don't see how mamamoo adjust their performances with low budget like how they don't add tonnes of props and background dancers on the stage ..or how they literally had to sue their own costumes for performing at Seoul awards in 2015... shit they don't even get to have a proper vcr before their performances ! . Talk about struggles... the girls have been through a lot like... no other group would've survived under such harsh treatments. I never see groups supporting mamamoo in today's date . I only see people ignoring their talent . The girls can actually fucking sing dude ! I mean i get it if people don't really like their songs a lot because they don't try to make them catchy like - "look up in the sky it's a bird it's a plane " kinda thing but atleast respect them . This is what make us moomoos emotional..this bloddy stupid bitchy competition and struggle they go through with big smiles on their faces . This video is just a very small intro to it. And yeah I'm not trying to mock bp in this comment but that's exactly what I'm doing cuz I've had enough about hiding the truth and supporting cliche shit !.

You say it's cleaver it is yet it was another way to put them into debt. Because the company would pay for dance classes, singing lessons, place to live food...etc. And even if they weren't paying for living the labels would find some way that you owe them money. Majority of groups don't make money or little to some starting out. There was one group that didn't make money for 5 years another 3 years. And then when they do the labels take a big percentage. It's not like here in the states with labels...yes they are shady here too but the k industry is completely different. While you're able to sign a contract and get paid, in Korea you sign a contract and owe money to the label. Then after debuting you're not making money you are working to pay back what you owe then later make money. But Mamamoo was one of the lucky ones. They were able to find a company that they were able to have more freedom

oneus (boy group) and onewe (boy band) are under the same company as them and equally talented maybe you can check them out ^^
