@@depperI think your number of albums sold is a bit inflated even if you add in his single sales. I think Elvis hit the billion mark in early naughties but he definitely has not doubled, let alone trebled that number since then. Having said that he is still the highest record selling artist of all time, true.

SCORE IS 1-1. Super Bowl 58 got a 45 rating, aganst Elvis' 57.1 rating, and it reached an 81.0 share, against an 82.6 share for Elvis. SCORE IS NOW 1-3 in favour of Elvis. Add the fact his name, ELVIS was mantioned at the Super Bowl 58 telecast In front of those 123.5 million, let alone the 64,000 in the stands, and THE FINAL SCORE is 1-4 in favour of Elvis.,

Notice he is primarily filmed from the waist up. His moves were considered too sexual for family tv. He was very controversial in the 1950s. Singers of the time would stand completely still when they sang. A good interview to start with the interview from his return from the army. He had been drafted 2 years previous to the interview at the height of his career.

There are so many songs you could react to and everybody will request the same ones that are all over KZread reactions. I'm going to ask that you try to react to Elvis Presley Hound Dog on The Milton Berle show. Not on the ship, but in the studio. It's the one that caused him to be filmed from the waist up. You can also react to It's now or never 1960. That would be after his army stint. You also asked about interviews. There are quite a few, but if you do react to It's now or never, or even The Frank Sinatra Welcome Home show segments of Elvis when he got out of the army, there is an interview of him in 1960. It's the 1st interview of him at his Graceland home when he returned from the army and without his mother there as she passed away while he was in the army. Btw- nice find here. While it's a more subdued Elvis here, it's still different than what I've seen elsewhere! Oh and I didn't exist when Elvis was rocking and rolling, but I am crazy about him 😂❤

I could see that you couldn’t understand what the “fuss” was about, and I understand. In the 1950’s, singers just stood, practically immobile when they performed. We didn’t have visual access to black artists. Also, when Elvis performed on tv, he was told to be very careful about moving. As I’m sure you are aware, he was filmed above the waist 85% of the time. You should have seen him give a complete live performance in 1956 & 1957. They were truly were unbelievable!!! He had to stop giving concerts in 1957 because of the rioting that ensued! Elvis could certainly sing & move, but I feel that the real reason for all of the commotion was that, in person, he looked like a “GREEK GOD”!!!

He is the atomic explosion. He dynamited rock and roll into mainstream America and all over the world. He made rock popular when before a mere subset and small population enjoyed it before him.Every age group from two to ninety nine, both sexes, all races were fans of Elvis Presley.Nobody else in history except Jesus has influenced such a diverse group. He is credited by the US government as ending polio epidemic.Who else has ended a pandemic? Nobody ever or could except Elvis. He is the King of rock.We miss him.

Omg…this is the one where they just showed him almost exclusively from the waist up because the powers that be thought he was too “suggestive” in his moves. 😂 And they wanted to ban him from tv and throw him in jail due to his “obscene” moves at his concerts. This was totally new to the USA. Just shows how strait-laced and conservative a time it was back then. How about Elvis a few years older, a scene from a movie…Bossa Nova Baby.
