During the podcast he said a phrase that I think was aimed at you, he said that in your desire to impress, you become self aware, and that hinders you, and ultimately makes you less focused on the person in front of you and that hinders the conversation.

George you have a rare gift that people nowadays would have a tough time finding in a lot of pastors. Your ability to articulate complex and multi-faceted Biblical concepts to a modern audience is extremely rare. As someone who’s grown up in church and has witnessed many Christian leaders, you might be in a league of your own. I pray that you may continue pointing a new generation of believers to the cross. If you have nothing constructive to say, perhaps it's best to say nothing at all. Being harsh is sometimes justified, valuable and important for growth, but whoever is throwing unjust negativity at others for no valid reason at all, simply makes it known to the world that they themselves hold resentment in their heart, which need to be examined and hopefully resolved.

Sometimes you need to commit mistakes, realize those mistakes and keep going. Says a lot about you that you realized so fast and apologize. We’re constantly learning. You still did a good podcast and thank you for bringing Jordan to the show. Have a beautiful weekend. God bless.

I agree with Reed 100%, we all mess up and all of us fall short of God's glory. You reflecting so much and me being able to see that is a privilege for me and a blessing from God. When you talked about the question "why is God allowing this?" You had in your prayers, I never saw it from your perspective. Like you were analyzing the issues instead of having a "woe is me" attitude. I'm taking so much from this podcast alone it's crazy so thank you for all of this wisdom. Also when I watched the Jordan Peterson podcast, I never once even thought about any of the issues you brought up. I see now after you brought them up that they could be better, but you talk all the time about being sorry if you're overstepping or being disrespectful. So I knew you weren't coming from an evil place because that's not your heart. I don't need a reply or anything, I just wanted to truly let you know how what your doing is affecting me and probably thousands of other. I pray you keep God number one always and keep trampling on the devil. I pray you and bell continue to grow in love and joy. I love the humility and I love Bells input. All 3 of them are so likeable and enjoyable to watch and the content always has so much substance.

Not only do I respect George MORE for being so open and honest about his mistakes, it’s admirable. It takes courage (especially with as big as an audience that he has) to basically say “hey yall I F’ed up and I’m sorry” that’s a grace in of itself. The fact you’re able to surrender yourself to god to allow him to Show you the error of your ways is powerful. Now that being said you are being a little to hard on yourself. Jordan Peterson is a thinker so it’s very hard to know if he’s waiting for you to ask a question or if he’s thinking of an answer to your question. Much respect to you brother. I think the real issue with the Jordan Peterson episode was that George was trying too hard to impress Dr. Peterson and the audience. It seemed like George was trying show his wisdom, insight into situations and even finish Dr. Petrson's points before he made them. Petrson always praises Joe Rogan for asking questions and being humble in order for the guest to elaborate and make for a better episode. We are all already impressed with George as a person. If he stayed humble, asked questions he already knew the answer to and let the guest share their thoughts without trying to prove himself, the episode would have gone better. You already made it George. You don't have to prove to the audience how great you are. We are all already your fans and think highly of you. Its okay to show ignorance in front of masters of their field in order for you audience to benefit.

And the conclusion is the genuine humility of George and his genuine interests and love for other's. When ever George talks to some it is like he's talking to us! The viewer. George, this is why you are becoming one of my all time favorite podcast host. You take criticism and use it as a learning tool to be a better host. The fact that you listen to your audience shows your big heart . You’re doing great as a host and one who is genuine and real in the industry. Just being yourself and having your team have a voice , the creativity of your commercials, and diving deep with your guests is refreshing . Also, I love Bell’s perspective and being a god fearing woman representative .

Whoa this helped me gain so much respect for you George, and appreciate the realness of difficulty in stewarding a blessing. It was not your best interview, the pride thing was real. George, your humility is inspiring. Im a new listener and I have to be honest, this episode made me a fan of yours. It’s so refreshing to see someone so real and honest, with enough courage in their heart and enough faith in God to forthrightly face their shortcomings humbly and publicly. I thoroghly applaud you. With respect George, simply from a viewer standpoint, I think the podcast was actually really good. But maybe as a Christian Counselor and Marriage Therapist, my perspective is a little different in how I see things. I feel like so many put Dr. Peterson on a pedestal, that it was refreshing to see you talk to him man to man. You found a way to make things personal without putting him on the defensive, which is not an easy thing to do. It brought a different side of him out that I don’t often see in his other interviews! As for the marriage stuff, you brought up something a lot of other people are already wrestling with, so even though hindsight is 20/20, and you might have done it differently, it was thought-provoking and your authenticity is appreciated. Your ability to work through your mistakes in such a public way is rare, and an approach that while sometimes messy, often leads to growth and positive change. Thanks for what you do brother! George I can appreciate you being critical of yourself given what you wanted to ask, but to me personally that episode meant so much to me. Especially the part about forgiveness and prayer. Completely changed the way I approach prayer. How could God talk to me if I can’t even humble myself and ask for forgiveness before asking for anything from him. That was my biggest take away. In your eyes you think you failed but trust me that episode hit a strong in me and many people. Failure is perspective. You didn’t fail you got given an opportunity to grow. I relate so much when you talked about your argument with Shawna. My fiancé would hit me with the silence too and I’d feel just how you felt. Working through those conversations and Jordan Petersons book has helped me with that. I’ve learned a lot from you and the people you’ve had on. Just wanted to finally send a comment since you’ve mentioned how you actually look at your audience and care. God bless man truly. I really do think God has brought me to learn from the podcast, especially the Tony Robinson one. That one really got to me with “faith without works” in the way he was talking about it and when you mentioned how God let’s us see the vision but we have to work through faith to get there. You can do great and still fail. :) And that's what happened. George did good but also failed as an interviewer in that episode. Failure is failure and we do fail sometimes. But failure isn't just that. It's also a way to learn. :)

@George Janko if your serious about your journey, I suggest you read the book How to make friends and influence people, it taught me wonders with communication and even more about listening and being attentive. Also one of Jordan Petersons 12 rules is "always listening as if they know something that you don't" I try to always keep that in mind when speaking with people.

Both of you are real and authentic! DON'T FORGET THAT! Asking REAL questions, addressing REAL feelings/thoughts that majority are afraid to address. BTW my husband and I been married now for ten years. And when you guys speak about communication getting cut off, that's how it is. Lol that's how we communicate also. And we knew very early after meeting each other, our relationship was a God thing. We struggled with a similar struggle you are (what you spoke about with Jordan Peterson) and We ended up planning a small wedding in three months. We did it broke and quick. And by the grace of God our wedding turned into one you would have thought we planned for years. Ten years later we are stronger and wiser than ever. I would advise anyone who truly wants to be married, get married quickly and "broke" with your main purpose of the marriage ceremony being a public commitment to God (even though you can do that privately with him), and to each other in front of the community that will commit to helping you both grow in that marriage for a lifetime. Another consideration in regards to the thought you had "what if he has to remove everything you love for you to learn to be content" sounds like the familiar voice of the Holy Spirit revealing to you where your heart is. The fear you feel after those prayers sounds like a normal expression of the Flesh resisting the potential loss of the things that most feed it. "If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it." Matt 10:39

I feel like sometimes when George speaks he gets unnecessarily deep if that makes sense. I think Jordan Peterson caught onto it. George asking if Jordan loves Christ with 100% of his heart was weird to ask imo. He brings up his religion every other sentence. Too much for me who isnt as religious. I still love the podcast and George don’t get me wrong.

George's talk at 17:00 was so powerful and important. I let my ego get the better of me for maybe 15 minutes and I got humbled quickly (As I should have). I immediately went to the bible and prayed to end every ounce of ego demons may try to convince me I deserve. It is important to remember the blessings God's energy provides and how quickly, like Peter, you can sink when you lose sight of him.
