To explain the Marisa- Chun-Li level 1 interaction for those who don't know: Since Phalanx is meant to be an anti-fireball tool, Marisa's legs have projectile invincibility during part of the animation for medium, and she has full body projectile invincibility during part of the animation for Light, Heavy, and OD. Since Kikoshou is considered a projectile, Marisa was able to barrel right through it.

I wasn't as surprised as Punk by that AKI because a common Platinum-type is someone who can do all the style combos but sucks at fundamentals.

Fr plat and diamond are full of training mode monsters with the nastiest combos and setups, but zero defense or neutral lol

I'm Platinum and i approve. I can do all crazy shit combos when i get a jump in, but i crack down when it comes to footsies and whiff punishes.

Definitely some good players in Plat and Diamond. Back when I was Plat I had a Masters player ask me how I'm in Plat after fighting him a couple times and my response was I don't like to queue up in this game as I ended up fighting the same people over and over again. That issue has since been fixed though so I went up to Diamond

watch your replays man and go to training mode to deal with the things you struggle with. That way I climb from Rookie to Master in 15 days. It's difficult to see yourself suck at something and not raging at the game but I think seeing yourself on replays and self-correct is the way to go. And always be present during the matches, remember: patience is key, you don't have to be always the first one to attack

You're already in school bro (KZread). Look up guides for your character, watch pros play your character, watch them play against your hated characters, find easy combo extensions from your best normals and go into practice mode while you wait for matchmaking.

As a Diamond 1 who routinely destroys low masters and fights roughly on equal footing to 1700-1800 MR players, I do THROUGHLY enjoy crushing the egos of many "master" rank players fr Punk

@@mappybc6097 I abuse it too and I don't like it, I have the right to give an opinion, I find it very OP and no brain at times, even in platinium some modern players (even classic too) only rely on drive impact sweating for LP and are abusing drive rush normals like in mastery elo but with less brain

@@Archomir If you lose to raw DR or DI spam, that's on you. DI has 26f startup and it can be punished on reaction. DR is a commitment, you have to cancel into a normal or throw to avoid the recovery frames. With Guile I can just od flash kick anytime I see a green flash and it's a guaranteed punish unless the opponent starts doing DR, instant throw/lp to bait the reversal. If that happens, then I'm no longer facing a scrubby spammer and I'm forced to use my brain.
