God I remember the height of the Johnny Depp hate. Heard's determination to ruin Depp after their divorce appears to have boomeranged on her. Even if she's found not liable for defamation, it's hard to see her having much an acting career after the job Depp and his legal team did on her. Meanwhile, the only thing that sticks on Johnny is that he used a lot of drugs....which isn't remotely close to abuse of anyone except oneself. Johnny kinda said it, the only person he's abused is himself.

The thing that I am glad to see about the Johnny Depp case, is that it might change the country's perspective on men's issues. There's one shelter in the entire US that does allow men who are in an abusive relationship to stay there, if they've been in an abusive relationship. Hopefully after this trial, it will be more common to see Men's shelters, and our society will forget this idea that only men can be the abuser.

I really hope that Johnny standing up for himself, and even saying he was a victim of domestic violence, willl inspire other men to speak up as well. Our media and justice systems are so rigged against men who have been abused, and it is so sad. They deserve justice too, and hopefully this trial, and the way it is becoming more and more obvious that Johnny was the victim, will start to wake some people up to the reality that women are abusive too.

Do I think Johnny never retaliated to Amber? No, I don't. I think there's a very high chance he did actually hit her in one way or another, but I also believe that might have happened because he was at the end of his tether and couldn't take the abuse anymore. He was late to her birthday party and she immediately started fighting with him as soon as he got there so he left again and that’s when she took the dump in his bed. To answer your question about the gallery (or really to just satisfy anybody's curiosity about it), the gallery for this trial was basically full of Johnny Depp fanns, something that was obvious because during the live feed of this people would literally stand up when JD walked in XD There were even moments where the gallery got told off by the judge for being noisy because they were laughing at remarks JD made. It was also VERY hard to get in because there was actually a HUGE line to even try and be in the court, to a point that you'd basically have to leave the trial and then stand outside in a line afterwards. Sooo, there's a very real chance those people are not even from the state.
