Well, the pianist seems to be a guy. 😉And I don't really think that this is the "future of pop", because Tori Amos is making songs like these für thirty years now, listen for instance to "Precious Things" from her debut album (1991). Lianne La Havas is another artist in the same league, who is criminally underrated. But I appreciate Willow, she's very ambitious and intelligent and every new album of her will be exciting and full of surprises. For that alone she deserves praise.

Something can still be the future even if there's a lot of traces of it in the past. Actually, that is typically how it goes. Tori amos is great, but for this specific style, I'd put my praise more so in the direction of Esperanza spalding who Willow very, very clearly takes inspiration from.

There are 100,000+ people making music better than this right now. Shame what's become of hollywood

Music must be so bad that even an average performance seems genius. Technically they are top notch, but where is this music going? I don't get it.
