I really enjoyed this reaction! ‘TMT’ actually stands for ‘too much thinking,’ basically referring to worrying so much about something that it stops you from doing what you want. When S-Class came out I noticed that the lyrics mirrored TMT a little because they use the same star metaphor (probably not intentional, but still cool): TMT lyrics: “I want to be like the twinkling star, Not everyone can be a star (Bling bling) I'm afraid of falling like the falling stars, I guess I'll never ever find out” S-Class lyrics: “I'm up above the world, so high, I'll be there shining day and night. They wonder how my spotlight is so bright” “The most special star, the odd one, that's me, all sorts of things are my work (Bling, bling)” “I feel like the brightest star…, when I look up, my image is embroidered in the sky” “Shining people, that’s our intro, we're special” SKZ have intro videos for all of their albums where they talk about the album’s concept, so that should help when you do the deep dive. There is also a ‘Prologue’ video they released before ‘Go Live’ (the album with God’s Menu) that summarizes their concept from debut until then. Still, without any of that, your interpretation of Levanter was basically spot on! Here is how ‘Levanter’ bridges to ‘God’s Menu’ to add another level of understanding to the lyrics if you re-react to it (since the songs are connected despite seeming wildly different on the surface): The overarching theme of the first half of SKZ’ discography is them going on a journey to find who they are. For the ‘Clé’ series of albums, they are searching for keys they think will unlock their dreams/aspirations (looking for something that will tell them who they are or be the answer for everything). The first key was ‘Clé 1: MIROH’ the second key was ‘Clé 2: Yellow Wood’ (Side Effects), and… there is no 3rd key (‘Clé: Levanter’). Like you mentioned, Levanter was the realization that they were weighing themselves down by searching for something they thought they needed, when what they needed was inside of them all along. In the ‘Levanter’ intro video, Chan explains this idea using a quote from Kung Fu Panda, “The secret ingredient is… nothing.” With that in mind, if you pay attention to the lyrics of ‘God’s Menu,’ it will be apparent how it fits into their journey. Some other things about Levanter! It’s probably my favorite SKZ title track (Lee Know’s falsetto puts it over the edge for me). Also, the choreography tells a story (you kind of talked about it at the bridge part with Felix and I.N) and they reference some of their past choregraphies within it! You might have noticed the tunnel from ‘Hellevator’ or Felix and Hyunjins back and forth that is similar to ‘Side Effects.’

Double Knot and Astronaut were both pre-releases for the Clé : Levanter album. They did a couple of weeks of music show promotions for Double Knot, and like a week later Woojin's departure was announced, and the album's release was pushed back 3 weeks to remove him from everything (the music, the album packaging, and the Astronaut MV which they had already filmed).

I have the full ‘District 9 Unlock’ concert on my channel (DVD quality) with English subtitles if you plan to react to it after you take a more detailed look at their discography! I agree they sound so good live and the audio mixing of concert DVDs really allows you to appreciate their voices more. ‘District 9 Unlock’ is one of two SKZ concerts that I recommend every STAY watch because of how significant it is in their journey as a group. I won’t give all the context here since it will be a while before you possibly watch it, but I’ll mention that there is a really touching fan project towards the end which you already saw referenced to at the end of the ‘You Can Stay’ MV. The other concert I recommend is Maniac Tour in Seoul (it’s the one with the infamous ‘I will protect you all’ from Chan). The whole ending of that concert is just one of the most heartwarming/wholesome things I ever witnessed. I’m glad that you are taking your time to go through their discography and spend time with all the songs. If you do eventually react to these concerts, that will probably make it even more meaningful!

About the lore in Levanter. In the trailer (which you didn't see), you see the members in scattered areas that they have traveled through. They seem to be reaching for each other through dimensions. And you see that when they are crossing paths on the street, I.N & Chan have static & feedback that effects them & spreads to the others. In the elevator, it's actually Chan who presses all the buttons when Seungmin is reaching for the Han in the lavender fields. Then we see Han with them as the elevator goes out of control. (The crazy numbers are an indication that is not just going down or up, but across space as well.) The door that forms isn't the elevator. It links so much in their story. Every path they took opened & closed doors. (This will come into play in Back Door.) - Levanter starts with them seeing the door, and the lavender field group in peace on the other side. Everyone is then in separate places after that. - The tunnel does seem to be the one from My Pace, but the distance between Changbin & I.N crumbles into a chasm before their feet. They also dance as a group there. A lot of the choreography is reminiscent of past choreo. Felix & Hyunjin from Side Effects, except this time Felix comforts Hyunjin's fears. The Mirror choreography of Changbin & Hyunjin. The move Han & Hyunjin do is very similar to the one Seungmin & Lee Know do in Mirror as well. The dance with Chan in the center is reminiscent of both District 9 & Double Knot. (Also, the dance practice for Levanter starts with Chan raising Hyunjin up from the ground in almost the same way he did at the end of Side Effects MV.) There is also a bit of choreography that is reminiscent of Victory Song as well. - We see Felix in a place outside of time & space watching the compass. It seems to track the other paths & members form other realities. I.N can see some of this, as he is the glitch. When he was talking about letting go, it was with Felix holding him. Then Felix reassures everyone that "It's all good". Chan is the one who brings I.N's attention back to what the others were doing when he got distracted with the other places he could see. - Yes. They burned the elevator & the ticket. (Which is the one from the Side Effects Trailer, where one set got on the bus "To The New World". And also where the paths split & there became two moons in the sky to symbolize different choices.) But they also let go of holding onto the keys. These were all things that they hoped led somewhere, or symbolized a path that they thought they had to take. Because they were searching so hard, they got lost in trying to find the way. They lost sight of the reason they had started in the first place. Here they realized that what they needed wasn't something they had to chase. When they realized this, they went through the door. And even though it had a keyhole, they never used a key to open it. They left the quiet lavender fields that were anything but paradise, they left the darkness, they left the destruction that they had traveled through behind.

Lovely reaction! One thing I'll add since no one else has mentioned it: when Seungmin appeared on the LEE MUJIN SHOW, Lee Mujin actually sang an acoustic guitar version of LEVANTER to open the episode! Its not the whole song, but it is very beautiful and since you liked LEVANTER it is worth a listen - just the first couple of minutes of the episode. Of course the entire episode is fantastic for Seungmin's voice as well, and their duet at the end is fire!

I found a comment on the lyrics of TMT: "Chan has made it clear that TMT actually stands for “Too Much Thinking” in one of his weekly VLive episodes. The song is supposed to reflect the title which, as he explains, is supposed to talk of thinking as being catastrophic. He explains that over-thinking is something that we all go through at some point in our lives. But it can cause us to unnecessarily worry and ruin our opportunity to just enjoy our lives. He wants to convey this frustration in the song, and advise fans to try not to over-think." (Yashmit)

I am glad to see a new reaction! although I would like you to do them more often, but I totally understand that you need time to digest new music, I am the same. I really appreciate that you don't just listen to the songs and forget about their existence like many reactors do, but that you really enjoy the journey and do research. I think people have answered all your questions regarding lore. So I will just say my opinion about the songs. I like TMT, it is a very cute song, I never skip it. I think Hyunjin has his fastest rap on this one. Double Knot is such a fire! Austronaut is probably my least favourite SKZ song, I don't hate it, it's just Ok for me. Levanter is very soothing! I totally agree with you regarding the most important line of the song. I love how good English versions of SKZ songs always sound. I liked a comment on Double Knot English performance video saying smth like "aaah, this is how it feels like listening to kpop and understanding all the words". Coming back to Levanter, one of the reasons it is so special to Stay, is because it is a special song for SKZ - as they said it felt for them like a new beginning. I don't know if you have noticed, but Double Knot performance video is the first one where Woojin was absent. Austronaut was filmed with Woojin, but then edited to cut him out.

Hi Sir!! This is my first time reaching out to you on yt, I usually just stick to your patreon, haha. About you thinking how to move forward in your exploration journey!! First of all, just do what you want, you’re the one whose enjoyement in the journey is most important ♥️ That said, according to many stays, God’s Menu onwards is where stray kids really found themselves and their color and sound as artists, so having Levanter as your stopping point worked out perfectly :) It could be cool to have your next steps being checking out older mvs you’ve skipped, like mixtape #2, #3, #4, together with mixtape gone days and mixtape on track, which are your next two new mvs in chronological order after Levanter, and they’re all mixtapes so that also works nicely! After that you could either check out any japanese mvs you haven’t seen yet (I think you’re missing TOP, Slump, All In, Scars, The Sound, and Circus), or move forward with your korean mv journey from Go Live era till Maxident (as you’ve reacted to their latest two comebacks). Skz players mvs you could also manage however you want, either sprinkle them inbetween regular discography mvs or tackle them afterwards. They certainly showcase their growth as individual artists which is cool to see compared to their growth as a group. I hope that wasn’t too much writing!! In the end, just go with whatever you feel like watching ;)

Side note, sorry for the add on. There is a mini storyline (mainly separate from THE skz storyline) involving some mixtapes and specific songs: mixtape on track, b:me unveil, the view, mixtape oh and skzflix (similar concept to bts’ highlight reel, it’s a 10 min short movie); however, as you’ve said you don’t really enjoy reacting to storylines, I think it’s fine to watch mixtape on track together with the earlier mixtapes, leave the b:me unveil for album reactions, and simply watch the view and mixtape oh whenever they come up on the mvs playlist.

I don't know if somebody already explained in the comments but I'll just put it here.☺ By the way love the video's always put a smile on my face (and also love the hair)❤. Okkey soo there is a storyline from Hellevator until God's Menu (Back door too? but it's for interpretation). All the videos underneath are connected and in order. I know this is for later on but it explains a lot also where that door leads in Double Knot, the 2 moons, the compass, ... - Start is Hellevator - I am trilogy albums (I am NOT, I am WHO and I am YOU): - I am NOT trailer - District 9 MV - My Pace MV (teasers too?) - I am YOU MV - Clé trilogy albums (Clé 1: Miroh, Clé 2: Yellow wood, Clé: Levanter): - Victory song (can be added not really important to storyline) - Miroh MV - Clé 2: Yellow wood trailer - Chronosaurus MV - Side effects (teaser and MV) - The final piece 2019 - Double knot prologue - Double knot MV - Astronaut MV - Clé: Levanter trailer - Levanter (teaser and MV) - GO生 trailer - Stray Kids: Prequel (Highlight Reel) --> This is where they explain the whole storyline of the previous videos in a short video. - God's Menu (and IN生 trailer and Back Door optional) Some stays believe that after these videos the storyline continues and some do not. They also have lots of different theories on it. But what we do know is that the storyline portrayed above is a fact. There is another storyline separated from the one above (this one again is for a fact connected) and it's called the mixtape storyline I think. This is a short one, it's the videos (this for what we know has nothing to do with the storyline above but some stays like to speculate): - Mixtape: On track MV - Unveil: Track B Me - Mixtape: OH MV - The view mv - (some say Ex mv not sure) - SKZFLIX teaser - SKZFLIX - Unveil: Track 2 'leave' SKZFLIX Sequel PS. Bang Chan also said that TOP (Japanese release) also happens simultaneously with Astronaut I think? What is also fun is they have a whole map where the storyline is portrayed (it's called: map of broken compass). If you ever get to following the storyline I'll try my best to give insight on everything (I don't understand a lot like most stays, but I'll try my best). It's very interesting because the inspiration comes from a lot of things like very famous books and such.☺🥰

You have a few strange ones mixed in that list. I really don't think Chronosaurus fits into the lore. And you are also missing a few from the I Am series. Like Voices, and Mirror. (These two actually seem to fit in the middle of District 9, where they have broken out of the dome & before they set up their base. Mirror goes first, as they are struggling to figure out themselves. Then Voices as they try to sort out what is negative in their heads.) Grow Up fits into the space after they set up their district & in the beginning of My Pace. And the I Am Not Trailer is supposed to be watched before District 9, as it has so much story that helps set up their Debut. Pretty good list though. I have a slightly different one. (And I don't think Ex falls into the SKZFLIX lore either. Some people just want a sad ending & shoehorn it in.) The story line is actually very nicely tied together with Back Door. Because in it, you see thousands of doors. And SKZ have the ability to go through them to go to different times & dimensions/universes. So ALL the stories can be lore, and all be separate as well. Every possibility is there & within their reach. So anything after Back Door is connected, but also stand alone. And SKZ have invited us along for the ride as they explore the possibilities. Astronaut and TOP are tied together. (You need to understand the roles that the members have to understand what's actually happening in Astronaut.) Hyunjin is the Wayfinder & it's his job to find paths for the team, but in Astronaut he found what he thought was a good place reminiscent of the one they made in I Am You. But when he hears a staticy voice, he realizes he's in the wrong place. Because it's Chan's voice he hears, but when he looks at the other members, he still sees Chan with them. So he runs through the building & encounters pieces of their past travels. (The mazes from Miroh, the glitches behind Felix, the vehicle from Side Effects, the fenced off part from District 9, ect.) As he's doing this, we see the "happy" members following him....Including himself. When Hyunjin reaches Chan, it's in front of the closed door that we saw Chan look through in Double Knot. But we also see Felix in front of an open door...Which the "happy" members go through. They end up on a bright roof & use the gun that was from Miroh to shoot a beam into the sky. (Kinda like what Chan did in Victory Song) They use this to go to space, where we next see them in TOP. So it's the "happy" members who go into space. (Since I.N is the GLITCH, we can see multiple versions of him. The sad, ghostly version we see in the end is one of his images following the members & sitting in the last place they were happy. He also shows up in TOP) In TOP, the members are realizing that they reached the end of that path, but are trapped in what they thought was a path forwards. The dream they had thrown themselves into was crumbling around them. (TOP also happens at the same time as Levanter ends.) The sad version of I.N realizes that the only way forwards, is to step into the light....Which is what the others are running from, because it looks like an end. Which, in reality, is actually the universes combining into one. The one that holds the members' true selves. The one that holds Gods Menu. Scars is another song that ties into Levanter, but it is kinda in reverse. It's interesting to see the parallels that happen in the two.

When you get to Streetlight, the MV doesn't have lyrics so would highly recommend you check out the lyrics as they are important. The colour coded lyric video by Zaty Farhani seems to be a good translation. I'd never seen the dance practice for Levanter, really enjoyed it, a different style to many of their title tracks.

Stray Kids Prequel (Highlight Reel): kzread.info/dash/bejne/a6R6rrFsl5mpg8o.htmlfeature=shared So this video covers them from the Hellevator -> I am NOT (their debut) until -> Cle: Levanter going to Go Live Album (where god's menu is the title track). I have a new group I think you'll like! They're called The KingDom (formerly KINGDOM), a 7 member boy group, and their concept is based around kings. Each member is named after a different king/emperor from history. In their first album series titled "History of Kingdom" each album introduces a different member of kingdom, and the concept of that album is inspired by the culture of the king that member is named after. For example, their debut album History of Kingdom Part I: Arthur is medieval-inspired and the title track is called Excalibur. Plus, they each rule fictional kingdoms within their lore! Arthur's is the Kingdom of Rain, so you see elements of rain in his mv as well. Super cool stuff! I'd suggest watching their mvs in order. Plus, if you go to the pinned comment on any of their music videos it tells you which mv is for which member, and what their kingdom is called: 1. Excalibur 2. Karma 3. Black Crown 4. Ascension 5. Long Live the King 6. Dystopia 7. Coup d'Etat
