Love that you caught the Breaking Benjamin vibes, cuz Starset was partly inspired by them and actually was helped out early in their career by BB, touring with em and such. There's sadly only very low quality recordings of their performances together sadly, but it's still very cool

Oooooo! Going back a bit. Love this song too. I'll repeat what basically everyone says, they don't really have any "bad" songs. They're all great to varying degrees. There's never a song that I want to skip when listening to an album, I just let them all play cause they're good!

Since you really liked this one by them I would highly recommend their song Gravity of You. On another note, I believe you'd enjoy Powerwolf, particularly Fire and Forgive and Army of the Night.

One starset song that realy gives me the feels, is DIVING BELL, and I highly recommend it.

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. I was really looking forward to see you reacting to more Starset

Love the reaction. Totally agree with you that these guys are amazing on the production side especially. I like to use the word “full”! There music is always so full. Thanks!

The coolest thing about this is that the heavy part is the same vocalist, Dustin Bates, he can do that so well. He also does the keyboarding as well with the songs and im like how do you do all of that at the same time!!!!

Ohhh this is such a good song. Love starset, they are usually in my ears when I need something calmer and more relaxed. They do the job. Hope they will bring out something new soon!

There's a Starset song called Everglow, it's their longest song, but it's the pinnacle of everything they do well. If you're ever to do another Starset reaction, I think it's one you'd fall in love with. Hope you're doing well with everything that's been going on, Chase. Rock on \,,/_

One of their best. And I absolutely loved your reaction at the end. Now I would also recommend the song "into the unknown" from them. It's one of their heaviest I would say.

I heard your comparison to Breaking Benjamin in this video and I grinned like an idiot. Starset was recommended to me years ago as a "Better Breaking Benjamin" and I gave them little thought, until one of my best friends called their genre "cinematic rock" - like what you'd want out of the soundtrack to an absolute epic of a movie. That's when I listened, and yeah I definitely heard some Breaking Benjamin elements in some of their songs. Starset to me is in a genre of their own.

@@dkorody81 I really want to hear an acoustic take on it. I saw them live in Oct of 2019 just after the album dropped and Dustin said during the VIP acoustic set that they hadn't had the time to practice any of the Divisions tracks for acoustic performances but I'd love to hear OWTT done that way.

Man, I love your input on these songs. It's crazy how you can listen to one song multiple times and still pick up something new on every listen. A lot of the things you point out in your reactions are things I never noticed before. It just makes the song feel so alive.

This was Awesome! Frequency is probably their heaviest song, but Bringing It Down and Telekinetic are pretty close. It would also be amazing to see you react to one of the album finishers(Rise and Fall, Everglow and Diving Bell), but you would have to be prepared for super long outros. Each of them are super unique songs, and some of my favorites over all. 😊

after listening to Horizons some more, I also recommend Dreamcatcher, it took a few listened to grow on me, but now it's my favorite from the album

They have a cello and violin player on tour and it makes such a cool difference to have those real instruments in place

I got to see them in their very first concert in Chicago before transmissions was released and I've only missed them one time since then. Truly every concert is a new experience. They do such a good job making changes to it every time

Still waiting and hoping that you'll react to JP Leppäluoto someday. 😅 His voice is like non other. To start I would say "Colder" by his first band Charon or his first solo single "Kuoppa", or "I Once Had Wings" by Dark Sarah (If you're okay with lyric videos) would be good places to start. It's hard to find good quality live videos of him, but "Mombasa" is great too.

A willingness to experiment and play with the studio's computer bits....it works. Because the human element is front and center. The recording studio machines are used as tools for colour and dimension, not as the main reason for the song. I've heard too much "new" music where the sound technology is the star, not the human performer. Starset stays in control, not the tech.
