Their company is very lucky because the boys are proactive and go beyond performing like writing all the songs, making choreography and creative production.

these boys are Filipino P-pop., they have their own styles, quiet different from k-pop., they aren't under any production., they produce themselves, these group ,durects, write their own songs ,choreograph., dances ,sing and they have different kind of voices, their qualility is diff., from other's , so mind blowing, amazing, after all the hardship, 🥵setbacks they went thru., ben and ben is only a guest of that show, just finish the song and understand the lyrics first ,you will find out the true meaning. ,they did pop,songs. rap, hip hop, acapella even folk., in every song they did has a life meaning in it. 🙏♥️

"Rest for now" means to take life easy now, to let them take care of them this time.

The man who has a dyed hair is Pablo, their leader, my future husband. He also wrote almost all of their songs. Even the melody. He's just musically genius tbh. His word plays, choice of words are just simply amazing.

The meaning of the "rest first" in their song MAPA is "taking a break" from working hard. Filipino parents usually work hard and sacrifices a lot for their children. So the song is basically a tribute to parents expressing their gratitude.

First off, thanks for featuring SB19 in your channel, glad you liked them and differentiated them from K-pop. The song Mapa was not about parents dying, it was a hommage to parents and it’s like telling them to relax because you’ve got them covered. The guy that you liked in the second video is Pablo and he’s the composer and/or lyricist of the group and a great rapper, too. In the last video, the guy in the middle was not Josh but Stell. Josh was seated at the rightmost. SB19 definitely is unique - they can pull off the saddest ballads, heavy rap, sweet harmonizations, harmonizations during rap verses, high notes, strong dance moves, powerful lyrics in their songs, etc. while remaining down-to-earth and genuine. A total package.

i don't even know how to begin to tell you about SB19. you are only scratching the surface of these amazing guys. they are not manufactured idols like in KPOP. and the relationship they have with us, their fans, is amazing. it's a very deep meaningful relationship it's not only idolizing for their talent or because they are cute and they can sing and they can dance...it's almost like a very good relationship where we are inspired by them...and we are inspired to help others to pay it forward and then they get inspired back.

Hi Josh! I can't believe that you're reacting to SB19! YEY! I've watched your RVs before and really love your videos but I kinda been inactive in YT for awhile..then I've discovered about sb19 and instanly loved them..first time stanning an artist and been fangirling ever since. From what I know, they were not being treated same way as to kpop. I mean, they were given freedom to express their art in their own terms. They make their own songs, choreograph it and do the visual direction (not sure if I used the right term though). They were really involved in their craft. They can sing, dance & rap. They really worked so hard and have been through a lot. They struggled at the very beginning (people bashed and hated them a lot..calling them names). All they want is to share their music and share PINOY POP to the world. They are now very popular here in Philippines but they remained humble. I really hope you'll do another RV of their other videos. Please. I really believed you would love them even more and I really want to witness your journey into knowing them. The song MAPA, the original version is more emotional same as the message as you have observed. The band version made it cheerful or more upbeat kind of song. You should check out the original version and I suggest the MAPA KALAYAAN FESTIVAL video. MAPA is a tribute for our parents. Telling them to rest is not literally dying. It's like their telling them to rest their back and stop working for their fam. Cause it's a Philippine culture that parents support their family/children/grandchildren until they can despite of their old age.

Rest first means take a rest and let us do the work now that we are adults and standing on our feet, as opposed to rest in peace. Its not a sad song but a tribute to parents and those who had a hand in bringing us up. Two of the SB19 boys grew up not knowing their fathers but sang the Papa part very credibly.

Thank you for watching SB19. You really have to watch their live performances, maybe other songs from them. And, they were also nominated in the Billboard Music Awards 2020 along with other artists like BTS. I'm a fan and we are rooting for them to have a big break internationally.

I just wished everyone can understand tagalog because the way this song (MAPA) phrased its lyrics is so poetic. You'll feel the immense love and gratitude to the parents.
