The "official" theory is that she wrote it when they were trying to keep it secret and people started noticing she was in London and track her down, that she became insecure again that he wasn't going to stand the avalanche that cames with her and shit. It's actually pretty sad :(

This is honestly the best reaction because of how much emotion you had and how much emotion you were able to pick up from Taylor. You picked up details that someone (not a Swiftie) couldn't pick up - even by Googling it. I would love to hear your covers of any of these songs. Maybe even "New Year's Day" because, again, of the emotion and depth of the song. And also, you don't deserve to cry! You're way too beautiful! :)

Dancing with our hands tied is obviously not about Joe I don't know why people are saying that. She mentions been 25 years old which is how old she was when her and Calvin were together and a picture of his face in an invisible locket and he gave her a locket. That was document it on her Instagram. And the whole song just sounds like their relationship like they really wanted to be together but she just had a bad feeling the whole time which is why she kind of used tom as an excuse to get away from him

lindsay smith this is what i was thinking initially!! but the part that kind of gets me is the line where she says “if i could dance with you again” because in all other songs, she doesn’t seem like she would want to go back. and also, i’ve seen people on twitter saying that her and joe almost split at one point, so maybe this could be from that period? who knows, either way it’s an incredible song and so powerful! thanks for your insight 👌🏻

But I think the age is the important part like that's an indicator... also calvin was her first real relationship since she's been famous I mean it lasted the longest so I was thinking she probably wrote it after they broke up.. or after her and tom broke up because she mentions having "rebounds" on the album I think that she was left thinking about Calvin when her and tom broke up and she had plenty of time to write it and miss him some before she met Joe.. and the fact that it like starts slow like on piano and then fakes you out and it's actually a bop... idk I imagine she did that on purpose like saying yeah no I'm not gonna do a slow weepy song about you Calvin.. also the locket line literally sealed it for me.. I don't think she'd mention a locket in a song about joe considering the famous "locket" was given to her by Calvin on their one year anniversary

Personally this is my least favorite album of hers yet by far. I can’t even pretend to say that I like it even a little. But I do love that she is at her happiest now and she’s learned to not give a fuck anymore about what people say about her. I’m also immensely jealous of Joe.

It seems you already listened this album. You didn’t seem passionate. And you knew the lyrics to “I did something bad”,wich is not a single.😂 I don’t hate...just my opinion.😉
