@@mauronicolo89 @ GFnDCeqMA V ̅Hor : to be more accurate, Namewee is a Malaysian Chinese. He born in Malaysia and his ancestor was from China. He has Malaysia nationality and it is just similar to American born Chinese.

In English, "Chinese" often means" people with China nationality", but some Malaysian will use "Chinese" to describe themselves, because in Mandarin, there are 2 words can be translated to "Chinese"(first one is "中国人", second one is "华人"), first one simply means China people, second one is describing anyone whose ancestors came from China (mainland), and now most of them spread all around the world, and they still maintain the ethnic of Chinese, like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong. Basically, ethnically Chinese->"华人"->Chinese->中国人->China people. Eth.Chinese(not with China nationality) describe themselves with 华人, so they use the word Chinese, but Chinese in English cuz' misunderstanding, people will think Chinese=China people
