I am 67 years old and a musician and composer. I have listened to loads of great musicians in as many years and regardless of the instruments they play, I put TINA SETKIC at the top of my list...firstly because of her age when she executed this piece. In fact, ALL of her original set was done as a teenager, 17 years old (this song) and younger! Secondly, the execution of each one is above the standard of even all of the original Artists, again, at this young age. Thirdly, she displays insight into each of the covers, at her age, way beyond everyone else. Lastly, she displays her knowledge, her handling of, her technical skills of an instrument that many musicians THINK/THOUGHT they've come to know everything about... TINA has become perfection with her guitar. She's is the brand new textbook and manual to use. She has become THE SOURCE of that knowledge. TINA SETKIC, she's the ultimate and greatest guitarist. Just as a matter of interest. There are many different instruments in the world, not to exclude the human voice. Who would be the best of each instrument? Thank you for your reaction. I deeply appreciate your honesty about Tina S. All the best for your channel.

I must have watched this 50 times now, I am no musician at all and every time without fail I am just left slack jawed by this absolute virtuoso performance.

Don't mistake total focus , concentration and attention to detail for boredom. She is in the zone and feeling every note. Her small catalogue of covers on her youtube channel are worth more than the mass of mediocrity to be found by others elsewhere.

She covered the song "through the fire and flames" by the band Dragonforce. And I saw one of the guitarists, Herman Li, react to it. And even he was like, 'what the heck... Do you know how old I was before I got good enough to do that.'

Bear in mind that piece was written for 10 fingers on the piano. Some pianists reacting to this have stated that she didn't miss a note. That wasn't boredom you were seeing on her face. that was zoned in concentration. No music sheets in front of her like a classical pianist would have. If you check out her channel, you will see that she also covers some great guitarists too, like Gary Moore, Steve Vai, David Gilmour, etc. She dropped out of the music scene for quite some years for her university studies, but she is back now with a band called 'Spin twice'. Check out their new song 'What's Wrong With Me'. Cheers.

Hello from France. Altitudes by Jason Becker, for the love of god by Steve Vai, through the fire and flames by Dragon force are also worth the detour

She was 17 when she put this out. From what I read, it took her 10 weeks to master this.

I don't know what impresses me the most with Tina. The fretting hand is obviously the one that strikes the most for a first listener (and someone who don't play the guitar I guess). But when you try to play, you realise that the right hand is often overlooked, but is actually at least as hard if not harder to master than the left one. Her right hand technique is stunning. She switches fluently between different techniques, with minimal movement, extreme precison. The "problem" with virtuosos like her (and others), is that they make you feel that it's easy. It's so fluid, that you don't realise the level of skill needed, and the huge amount of time spent on the instrument, repeating the same movement again and again, seeing very few improvement each time, but achieving great things in the long run. Perseverance, dedication, resisting to frustration, and of course talent are the key.

Spoken (well written, typed, whatever) like a musician. At least on guitar you can take a break and play power chords and scream your frustrations. People will assume you're practicing some emo metal song.

She is not bored, this is her focus and concentration face! You can see more emotions pouring out in some other covers such as For the Love of God and Altitudes.

Everyone gets stuck on her left hand technique with good reason, but her picking hand is unreal. Some quick background...Tina studied classical guitar at a conservatory in France from the age of 6-13. At 13 she switched to electric guitar under the tutelage of Renaud Louis-Servais. From 14-17 they posted these covers. This was the last one. At the age of 18 Tina disappeared from the internet and social media. She finally resurfaced last year with her band Spin Twice. Fun Fact: Dany from The Warning has also studied under Renaud Louis-Servais. My favorite of her covers are For the Love of God, Altitudes, and The Loner.

She stands all alone on the summit of the Mount Everest of the guitar world. Such a performance flawlessly without a break without extreme effects devices. I've never seen anything like it, and there are some very good guitarists (Steve Vay Joe Satriani) and many more But that's a league higher. That's no longer talent, it's ability!!!

The irony is that after a lengthy hiatus and absence from doing KZread videos, she has joined/formed a band. Fantastic I hear you cry..., alas it is not so fantastic, the band is of the modern, trendy, indie, simplistic appealing to the masses type of thing. Such a shame, such a waste of incredible virtuosity. I will miss the old (young?) Tina Setkic.

That’s cause she said she wants to have a break from heavy guitar playing and focus more on the band aspect of music overall. That’s to say she was probably playing insane stuff in private.
