I know exactly how it feel to be felt sorry for my ‘disability’. I’m autistic and everyone thinks that I’m stupid or a burden on my family or just the result of bad parenting which just isn’t true. Also when Jazzy and her friend made that comment about how sorry they feel for hearing people... I feel the exact same way with nerotypicals “you aren’t autistic, poor you” Sorry for randomly throwing that out i just remembered lmao

Cody Anonymous I totally agree no one should be label as disabled many people have Technology that can help them hear such as hearing aids or coach implants which can help them hear everyone has difficulty’s and things they are insecure about some are better at hiding it but we are all the same and all have things to hide. Next time anyone thinks to label someone with that think twice how would that make them feel? Welcome

But i very much appreciate the fact that you put closed captioning in your videos because I do not know sign language, but I would never expect you to talk while signing. People who expect that are too lazy to read, read lips or learn sign language. Ignore the haters, you make good content.

In fact, as our parents have told us, my brother taught me some sign language before I could talk. I also believe that the value of the person does not come from anything a person does just form existing. Everyone has different experiences and different things they find hard. also one persons pain does not get rid of your own or anyone else's, like someone starving does not change what your experiencing. it might give you perspective but it does change it and does't take away from it either.

One of the many comments I've had threatened to me verbally and written is: 'You're too pretty to be Deaf' and 'Wow you don't look Deaf at all?'. I'm always questioning them back too with wow you don't look hearing or stuff like that. Keep positive and ignoring them haters.

You know all those times us hearing people complain that public places are too loud or our kids are being too loud... that would be the best thing about being deaf. Still being able to communicate with your hands and not having to deal with the constant headaches from loud public spaces. Ahh bliss. Would be so frustrating dealing with ignorant hearing people though and having the communication barriers. We have a local school that teaches AUSLAN. I hope all schools start teaching it more. I'd love to learn AUSLAN.

Can I ask, why did you guys make the choices you did in regards to using your voice (Benny) or not (Jazzy)? What are the cultural (i.e. deaf culture vs hearing culture) implications of these choices? I'd be very interested in a video about the different ways in which deaf culture can 'clash' with hearing culture - for example certain choices parents of deaf children need to make that can by some people be seen a 'appeasing' one 'side' or the other - and your thoughts on the subject. some of the comments, maybe arent strictly hate comments, but just pure ignorant. When people don't understand deaf culture, they tend to say things that aren't meant to be offensive, but still come across that way because they don't know the right way to say what they mean, does that make sense? The only question/statement that kinda made me think- wow, did you really say that? Was about getting your voice fixed by the doctor. I'm hard of hearing and I have a speech impediment and for years I was teased about my voice because of the way I spoke. Now, however, it doesn't bother me that much because I learned to live with it and it's part of who I am. I could go to the doctor and get speech therapy, but then I'm not suffering or in any pain from my voice being different so why should I get it "fixed"?

Deaf person here from USA! Those negative comments are stupid but funny at same time. But I can see what someone's comment mean by how they can tell your mouth moves like you are from England. I noticed that Deaf British and Deaf Americans' lip patterns are actually different. It is interesting! I would love to watch the part 2 where you guys react to positive comments! We do need more positiveness around :)

I’m leaving sign language for this girl I like because she’s deaf but I think the hardest thing in BSL is watching other people sign so watching you helps :)

I love your videos and your signing. Thanks for doing them. Can I ask you for advice on what to say to someone deaf when you don’t know them? I studied BSL for 2 years and I get very excited when I see someone signing but then I get very shy because I don’t feel very confident and I never sign anything.

Can absolutely relate to this! I’m hard of hearing with two working hearing aids. People often look at me as a ‘normal’ person and be shocked to know I’m deaf?? Cos I use my voice more than sign and how I don’t look deaf 😂

Can't understand why anyone would hate you for being Deaf. People still using 'deaf & dumb' in 2020. Seriously ? It's just as bad as the 'R' word or the 'N' word. Just unacceptable in 2020. There's no shame in being Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

I understand how you feel , sometime hearing people never been around with deaf people and hearing people sometime be afraid not know how to communicate around with deaf people. I know sign language and I teach hearing person to learn how to sign and I like them to understand how to communicate in real wrorld. hearing people should not judge. I enjoyed your video ..
