Red eye zombies are controlled by the shadow man. Yellow eye zombies are Samantha. Blue eyes are Ultimis Richthofen. And orange eyes are Ultimis Maxis.

@@EddieLove No blue is Richthofen for example in Nuketown it starts off as Samantha and they are yellow but in round 20 when Richthofen takes over the turn blue and all the zombie eye in Black Ops one are yellow but all of the Victis crew maps have blue eye when Richthofen is in control.

No. Red Eyes are the standard color of Zombies when nobody is controlling them such as when we are in a map out of time and space like Mob of the Dead. Shadow Man can't control zombis, he never got to that position in the Aether power scale

@@averagerpgist5456 Apothicons are in the dark aether, they don't have access or power upon normal Aether. And it's not Monty, because in Gorod Krovi the eyes are red and Primis were doing as Monty said, so why would he put obstacles against his own plan?

No trust me the storyline is very well written but the cutscenes don't show everything I'm all the maps the charcter devolemnwt the process of beating the map and hidden cyphers blowing up earth please watch a video explaining the lore

I still cry after OG Tanks line at the end. Primus never grew on me, I could never relate to any of them, they were all badasses, but Ultimus,not really badasses, just people having fun, not taking it seriously.

As a treyarch zombies nerd i appreciate this content so much but god damn did i roll in my chair watching them try to understand whats going on😅

They need to stfu and listen to what the characters are saying and pay attention to everything. They call themselves content creators but they have no knowledge on the game. Like how tf you play zombies all your life and you think infinity warfare was the game that had aliens instead of zombies. Like bro just end your career right there and then cuz you don't know shxt apparently

ok so heres the thing, i noticed multiple times you guys asked questions that could have been answered by literslly just shutting up for five seconds and listening to the dialogue

The story can actually be followed along with pretty well, but the cutscenes only give you *VERY* little to work with. When you actually play the game, do certain tasks to unlock endings, and read/listen to the lore that can be found, you can get a pretty good idea of what's happening. The lore is INCREDIBLY long with it taking like 6 hours to explain (though there's probably a MUCH shorter video out there) it in depth. I can completely understand the confusion based on only watching the cutscenes. Also, Aether doesn't mean Treyarch. Aether is just one of many storylines in Treyarch zombies. Activision is its own thing and I'm not entirely sure if they even have a dedicated storyline between multiple games. Extinction (one with the aliens) is the only one I completely kept up with.

So fun Fact Samantha was always the one who controlled the Zombies from WaW up to Bo1 until Rictofen took control that's why Dempsey asked how he was back in his body

The entire time they ask what is going on but they proceed to talk over half the talking

Whoever put this cutscene comp together is terrible so much is missing

Yeah, literally the Shadows of Evil intro is missing, but the EE cutscene is there

The reason why they kept swapping animation styles was because Activision didn't want to fund and pay the employees to work on the game, so they had like 5 people working on it near the end and they did the best they could with what they had. The little thing at the end was playable and it made so many people cry that they managed to be able to do that after working all day every day without getting paid, just for the zombies community. Its all the same story for over 10 years and the community was amazing, when a new map would come out we would spend weeks trying to find the "Easter egg" which is a line a secret quests that then lead to ending the map or a big boss fight. Some of it is very confusing but to be honest, this isn't even 10% of it. Thanks for reacting guys :)

Yeah so you literally sat down and only watched a single hour of the major events in Zombies, the entire storyline would honestly take you like 10+ hours to get through. Remember your going over like a decade of stories in just one hour cutscenes, when the in-game content explains the stories through literally much more intricate detail. And they explain literally like everything. I could sit down for a week and still find something new to explore. To this day, Developers said we still haven't found everything to know about the storyline through in-game content.

Okay a few things you should know. The story is awesome and incredibly well written mode. These are just cutscenes but there are also Comics, Voiceline, radio files in game, and more lore. Aether story is the original story mode that we have followed for about a decade starting with World at War and ending in Black Ops 4. The story is made by Treyarch company so InfinityWard isn't involved with it. This is very little of the lore and I recommend you look up a full story video or something as the cutscenes alone don't say the full story at all. Every map in Aether is important to it's storyline and it is very complex. It started as a secret passtime project by a World at War developer and is why the first Zombies map is so barebones. But because of it's success they then decided to make more maps as a team and even begin to make a storyline Also Treyarch ended the storyline of Aether in BO4 but still making new Zombies maps after and that's a new story that isn't it. Doesn't hit like the original story

@@oldman5540 Yeah I also don't think people really try even look in to the lore for the dark aether, like how if you read the intel in cold war you would know the ray K from firebase is built from scraps of the ray gun mark 3 that where found in the dark aether. people just don't want to interact with the dark aether story. The only thing I hate about the dark aether story so far is how they made retconned the choas story to be apart of the aether multi-verse

One of the biggest things about Treyarch Aether Zombies, is that the Campaign and Zombies was separated. But after the ending in BO4, Eddie and Samantha enter a new universe, the one with the Campaign characters, the one where MW and Black ops storylines line up. (MW 2019, Cold War, and new MW 2). Now we have what is known as the Dark Aether story with Sam as the main character, more revealed if you watch the Full zombies storyline video (Aether Story explained).

You guys should watch an explanation of the story, super intricate and crazy 👀

There is a long "Entirety of Zombies" video which goes 7 HOURS, of lore and everything you need to know, with a well made presentation. And organized accordingly You can make a 7 parter to the series easily, just do be patient, qlot of audio logs, explanations and it'll fill the gaps pretty handily

Basically the guy had to put his blood into the machine to open the portals to the other worlds …it had to be his blood because the book said so that’s why he was mad at the beginning

Ironically I watch the origins intro just for Shepard of fire I love the blend of Samantha’s narration and the action plus in my opinion the intro plays the best part of the song.

As Richtofen would say, "Nein." During world at war, there's cyphers that you can figure out that give you hints about the story and gives detailed bios for the 4 main cast members that focus the aether storyline.

I don't like the fact that they don't pause the video and instead just interrupt the playing cutscenes

The whole storyline is worth 7 hours worth it in my opinion very well written and thought out it took over 10 years for the aether storyline to end

They connected all the maps in a way. The Kennedy Nixon and Castro map, Five, started because of Samantha and so forth. So that's why it was confusing at the beginning seeing the intro of the older maps but eventually everything connected

So whenever you play cod black ops zombies if it's 1 2 3 or 4 they have these things called Easter eggs it's like a main quest that you can do in maps for story's and makes the world of the zombie games more connected and with the help of many people in the zombie community they solved the hidden Easter eggs in these games to find the story in the games the cuts scenes yall guys are watching are the intros to certain maps to have people go through the game to find the story by doing the Easter egg and when your going through the Easter egg the characters talk about what is going on and thats how people get a story from this game and whenever you finish the Easter egg through multiple quest stuff you do within the game you get an ending cut scene with some maps (mainly bo3 and bo4) where it shows more of the story and honestly this story for how convoluted it can get its one of the most interesting video game story's out there and it comes from cod zombies a mod most casual players don't notice until you dive more deeply into the cod zombies story

Dudes are judging the games story without having the context of.. hmm idk playing through it. Your not gonna understand it just watching the cutscenes. What game have you played that you can fully understand the story with only the cutscenes and not playing the game

Mfs when a near 15 years old story has barely 1h of cutscene and wonder why they don't understand

This story has so much lore and so many bends and contrasts, it almost feels like you're watching a movie or TV series.

Also these ain't all the cutscenes. Which is weird cause they show the ending cutscene for Shadows of evil but not the actual opening

There’s a 6 hour video you guys should watch and break up into a series. If anything you’ll all know everything about zombies in the end and the cutscenes will make sense. Merry Christmas!

So the story for zombies is mostly told in game through gameplay, radios and what not but the main storyteller is these massive easter eggs they do for each map, like a destiny raid. I highly recommend watching all easter eggs to get a better picture or a lore explanation, theres a really good in depth lore video but its like 6 hours, I think you guys could find an hour one somewhere, most easter egg tutorials have been streamlined from like 20minutes long to like 5-8 minutes each. Highly recommend since most of the older games didnt have cutscenes so you missed out on moon and stuff

The only issue with this video is that it just shows the cutscene, there’s plenty of information you get to understand the storyline through completing easter eggs en each map, trailers, this video doesn’t actually explain the story itself, for example, when we saw dragons, they were in another dimension, where WW2 never ended, to collect their souls from different universes, a lot of cutscenes doesn’t really add up because it gives no context to what actually happened, gameplay is involved in order to understand the story.😊

Damn Origins intro is muted bro that's the best zombies intro

to explain the blood machine, that specific version of Richtofen's blood has been so charged by dimensional energy by traveling through dimensions so many times that his blood can be used as a power source to escape the area they're in, which is a pocket dimension with no escape, so they use him and his blood to open portals just long enough for the others to be able to escape.

The classified intro is a short rundown of waw and bos 1 zombies.

If you guys are going to watch at least pay attention 😭

These dues literally just talking throughout the entire thing, and not listening at all is so wild to me. Like, stop talking and listen. Maybe then you'd understand the story. It's truly not hard to comprehend.

The Zombies story is really kinda deep and convoluted but it's so good. All of the characters had a purpose in the story even if they did seem like they were going for like a movie theme in Call of the Dead but there was always a deeper story

Bro I would like to explain everything but damn it's really hard but pretty much they broke the cycle by the blood machine they needed someone too sacrifice too open the portal from the blood machine , The alcatraz prison is purgatory and they can't get out so they Richton sacrificed himself for his friends so they can live and continue what they must do The time line and story is really good if you understand but mostly it's from playing in the actual game

its like ever< other anime, first they fight zombies, then they learn of timetravel and other universes, and in the end they free souls and fight gods

If you want context to the story, I would recommend watching a Aether story line video.

This is dumbing it down a lot, but the reason as to why there were dragons and mechs and all this crazy shit is because every time they would jump to another place they would fuck up all of the different realities more and more and drag them into places they weren't meant to be.

That’s why I hate these videos, cause all they force you to do is watch the first and last scenes of a movie then try to proceed the plot together, there’s a lot of story that happens in the gameplay that helps make this more cohesive

Orange eyes are Samantha in control of the Zombies and the Blue eyes mean Richtofen is in control they swap bodies on the moon and that's how Richtofen gains control. The kid Eddie and Samantha cutscene is just symbolism for how it actually went in the other universe before Origins.

the zombies story is truly my favorite i love it religiously and know it by heart its the reason i gamed so hard as a lil kid

I mean, it's obvious that just watching a bunch of cutscenes won't help you grasp what's really happening. Treyarch and Activision really hit the jackpot with the Zombie mode alone, because that mode was brilliant. Versions from seven years ago and even older ones are still being played by thousands of people today. The story of the characters and events definitely makes sense (yeah, even the one with the dragons xD). You gotta play all the maps and crack those Easter eggs for the full experience.

i think this will help make sense of why they are back after being "wiped" out of history is because they are in a timeloop. You should really look at BlackOpsAmazing's timeline explanation

To summarise (VERY BRIEFLY) The story started as just random radios, ciphers, character dialogue and other bits of lore scattered through the maps, cutscenes only became a regular occurance by Black Ops 2 (3 games in) and the cutscenes got high quality at Black ops 3 The zombie outbreak was caused by element 115, which was being experimented on by Group 935, a global scientific coalition set up to improve the human condition and research new technologies, Originally were unalligned to the great powers, but they started incognito supporting Nazi Germany because they needed funding and the Nazi government offered to give them money in exchange for access to their inventions But alongside the weapons research done with element 115, it was also discovered that if people were exposed to it for a prolonged period of time, they would get sick, then die, then reanimate as zombies. So experimentation was done trying to find a way to control these zombies, as an undead army, with little success Going further will make this very complicated, and there's some lore videos out there that could explain it far better than I could Also you should totally react to the trailers for each map (Gameplay trailers etc), that'll show the progression of the mode, graphically and gameplay wise, also gives slight insight into the lore!

Treyarch is the only one that did the interconnected Zombies games. They did World at War, Black Ops, Black Ops II, Black Ops III, and Black Ops IIII which concluded the story. The zombies game mode was originally called Nazi Zombies in WaW but they changed it to just Zombies in BO1. The other studios Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games did some other extras, most of which were also zombies. The 3 studios usually alternated their releases on every other year or every 3 years. After Black Ops II, Infinity Ward released Ghosts which had an alien mode called Extinction, which was the "zombies" mode of that game and had a self-contained story. Sledgehammer Games then released Advanced Warfare which had Exo Zombies which was also a self-contained story. Next came Treyarch's Black Ops III and then Infinity Ward's Infinite Warfare. Infinite Warfare had it's own self-contained Zombies mode as well. After that Sledgehammer Games released WWII which, again, had it's own self-contained Zombies story. IMO i think the WWII Zombies was the best zombies mode outside of Treyarch but the one in Advanced Warfare was also fun. Next came Black Ops IIII which concluded the original Treyarch Zombies saga, retroactively called the Aether story. Infinity Ward rebooted the Modern Warfare series in 2019 which had no extra game mode that was like zombies. Instead they made Warzone, Call of Duty’s attempt to capitalize on the growing popularity of battle royale games. Well technically the first battle royale mode was in Black Ops IIII called Blackout but that was exclusive to that game whereas Warzone is also its own standalone game and is available in Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, Modern Warfare II (2022), and the upcoming Modern Warfare III (2023). After the MWI reboot, Treyarch and Raven Software developed Black Ops Cold War which had a new Zombies storyline called Dark Aether. It serves as a continuation of the Aether storyline. Sledgehammer Games then released Vanguard. However, Treyarch developed the Zombies mode for that game and continued the Dark Aether story. Next, Infinity Ward released the 2022 Modern Warfare II reboot, which didnt have a zombies-like mode. The next game to be released is the 2023 Modern Warfare III reboot, this time by Sledgehammer Games. I'm not sure if it will have a zombies game mode or if it will be like the rest of the Modern Warfare reboot series.

You need to play the games to understand the story. Quotes and many different bits of info can be found/heard while playing the maps. There are videos you can watch that include the most important quotes

So of the storyline with the main four when they get sent to mideval times they got sent back in time to the start of the zombies storyline, the knights cheering them on become the zombies seen in the origins cutscenes

All of the new Call of Duty games being rebooted and combined into the same universe like Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War is because of the Zombies story. Not even kidding. In Black Ops 4 the main Zombies characters close all timelines down to one reality and banished the rest of the Zombies Apothicans and everything to the Dark Ether It looks like and plays like just another fun game mode but hiden just beneath the surface is an extremely well written and thought out secretive story. I'm talking betrayal experimentation time travel a multiverse other dimensions ancient aliens of universe ending power who sent element 115 to earth wanting humanity to free them. Richtofen teleporting and trying to kill Maxis and his daughter Samantha and her dog Fluffy. Samantha got teleported to the moon into a an ancient alien device allowing her to control reality a bit and the Zombies. Angry because she thought her dad and dog died she swore revenge and went on a rampage with the Zombies.There is a ton in this story.

1:04:00 Samantha Maxis is German. Originally from WaW to Black Ops 1, Samantha's accent is German. In Black Ops 2 Origins, Samantha using an American accent. For Black Ops 4 zombies, they changed her accent back to German.

This compilation video showed cutscenes in the wrong order (Showing the end of Shadow's of Evil before the opening?) and randomly cut scenes short (Richtofen killing his other self was part of a much longer cutscene.) Why?

if u wanna understand what's going on in the cutscense u gotta play the maps and do the easter eggs to understand cause while u play u get quotes of the characters explaining what's going on so I feel like u 4 should really play bo1-bo3 cause that's the original storyline while bo4 is bo3 but if they changed their outcome which is what happened

the dragon cutscene comes from gorod krovi a map in bo3 an older game. gorod krovi came in near the end of bo3s life cycle. at that time zombies was 4 games into the aether storyline. see it went waw, bo1, bo2, ghosts, aw, bo3, iw, ww2, bo4, cold war, and finally vanguard in terms of release order. ghosts, aw, iw, and ww2 arent treyarch games nor are they connected to the zombies storylines. each non treyarch game is either self contained or has no story to speak of. waw, bo1, bo2, bo3, and bo4 is the aether storyline. then theres the dark aether storyline which picks up with cold war after reality is sent to the dark aether. cold war and vanguard take place in the dark aether storyline. its likely that the next treyarch game will also be in the dark aether storyline.

These cutscenes are all intros and outrous to the gameplay in the maps that contain a lot of the story. But most of it is actually in hidden radios and ciphers. Definitely not meant to just watch this and understand anything

BO3 zombies went crazy with teleporting to different universes and timelines. It goes even crazier after this with whole dimensions, timelines, universes, ect. Treyarch created COD zombies and of course do it best. Then we get a rebooted story on Cold War which gets very interesting
