Cristiano had 10 goals in the European qualifiers, I watched every Portugal game and Ramos was mid. Ronaldo also top scorer this season (dont care he plays for Saudi) If they play Ramos over Ronaldo like they did against Morocco they wont make it past the RO16.

you fail to mention 3 of his goals was from penalty kicks and other 4 against teams like lichtenstein and luxembourg (suddenly his 10 goals don´t look so impressive right) . ronaldo was the worst player in the match against us in bratislava - he was the main reason portugal could not produce more than one goal because he was slowing down every effort they made to get infront of goal . also we were playing a really good game but if not for ronaldo they would have scored more than 1 goal that day . he was also playing bad at the world cup . he can score 50 goals in saudi for all i care , but we all know that league is not anywhere near the top 8-9 leagues in europe . also referees in saudi league are scared of him , i saw one game where referee was straight up affraid to book him . his era is over , messi whooped his ass at the world cup and put all the discussions about who is the GOAT to bed .

Croatia performed well in the 2018 world cup and did well to get to the Quarters against Brazil, they went through but maybe a tad lucky due to the deflection in ET. They're well organised and I think we'll beat them in the Quarters 2-1, very close game, got nothing against Croatia just don't think they've got an out and out striker anymore.

An Euro with an outsider champion would be nice for a change, similar to Greece in 2004, or at least to see some Eastern teams in the semis or final with Romania, Hungary and Albania looking good

I'm portuguese and Thogden, I agree we have a chance at winning the Euros, however we proved in 2016 that it just doesn't take a stacked team to win the whole thing, a lot luck must come into play, a lot of small teams can just pull one out of anybody, so I'd think we can reach the semis, but at least the quarters. When you get to semi-final it's up for grabs and although I like Gonçalo Ramos more and preferred if he'd play, we can't ignore the fact that Ronaldo has been playing very well for Al Nassr being the best scorer in Saudi and the player with the most goals by far in our national team and in the competition behind Lukaku, so we'll see how it goes.

Maybe, all three of them teams are vastly overrated but England will probably squash both. Bellingham, Kane, Foden, Saka, Maddison, Rice, TAA, and Stones are all in form and in their best day they can humiliate them. Don‘t underestimate the home advantage. Btw, it was the same before the 2006 WC, they lost many matches and no one gave a shit about Germany. They made it to the semi finals and the match vs. Italy was 0-0 almost 120 minutes, at the end they finished 3rd.

With due respect Portugal team in recent times they are playing a team game where all the players are in form & also they are performing, but if a captain Cristiano Ronaldo is scoring goals for his National team he should play for the team for next world cup in 2026, He always works hard, he is dedicated, he is the first captain for his national team who have won UEFA EUROPEAN CUP in 2016 & UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE on 2019. England vs France final is very unlikely. One of them would have to finish 2nd in their group which I just don't see happening.

Winner: France. Runner up: England. Semi finalists: Portugal and Spain. One issue I have with I have with Spain is the strikers position where they need to be on form. Flip of a coin between England and France.

You made a little mistakes about England vs France Final. They can only met in semifinal if they topped their groups. And I don't even think England will go further, since in QF, they will potentially face Group B teams, which prove harder for England.

It’s crazy how biased thogden is to Ronaldo. Yes Messi’s your goat, yes Ronaldo’s playing in the Saudi league. But you’re saying Portugal lost the World Cup because of rronaldo, even though your dream boy Ramos started against Morocco. And last year was much different, Ronaldo’s been superb in the euro qualifiers, there’s a better manager, not to mention his son died last year, he’s having a lot of fun right now even in the Saudi league. Our attack is stacked, and compared to very offensive Left backs like Gosens he is the better option. Worked out quite well for two games already. He was one of the better ones there and played more convincingly than he ever did in attack. Gnabry, Sane, Musiala, Müller, Füllkrug and Wirtz are definitely the more effective options.
