An old song by the great Alla Pugachova, which Diana revived. A truly difficult experience for the performer and a unique experience for the listener! This is very much deeper song than "Wicked Game". I've listened to it many times and I'm still utterly mesmerised by her performance. You are right, with both of these artists there is something beyond their natural talent and decades of hard work refining their skill. I believe it is the purity of their hearts that allows them to be truly authentic and in a whole new category that most, even really talented performers, will never attain. That authenticity is spiritual in nature and resonates profoundly with our own true spiritual nature (that we all crave to dwell in) and that is why our heats open to them as they do. This why people call Diana a shaman and Dimash and alien or angel. This is an old Russian ritual song: An orphan girl should/ wants to get married and goes to the river, the border between the living and the dead, and asks her mother for the blessing (mother's whisper)... The horses stand in the courtyard, the guests are gathered, the wedding celebration begins. In Russia it was customary sang sad songs at the weddings to scare away evil. That should chase away evil spirits and bring good luck. Such songs were called “weeping.”

Diana's on record as saying that much as she'd like to she can't perform this at large concerts, where she's doing many songs, as it's so draining to perform and she'd have to have a rest before she could continue. She certainly pulled out all the stops for this performance, but this performance more than anything propelled her into winning the contest outright (which she did again the following year), though of course all her other songs were wondeful too, but this was the stand out moment. Watching her latest video, Into The Sky, you realise just why you fell in love with her work, and just what a classy lady she is.

That is a good point to make about anyone young being uniquely talanted. But, beyond say her voice, her control her movements her ability to imbue the song w emotion her commitment to get to that point, her confidence etc. She really is a treasure.

The band Heilung has already conceptualized this type of performances: an amplified history. Google it! I strongly suppose if Diana could dig it through her future career, it would be so powerful for creating a new source for Russian soft power.. Diana could be the Medium for it, as many of Scandinavian experimental folk collectives. She is able to become Elvis Presley of this direction

Thank God Diana can not only sing these deep, meaningful Sons, no... perform, no... live. Just take a look at the cover of "Havana" and you can see and hear that Diana can also be a joker. And she has such a sweet laugh... "Rechenka, Wicked Games, Havana and Derniere Danse" are my absolute musical favorites at the moment.

Dear Sabina, Her birth mother severely abused Diana so her family took her to an orphanage. The woman they showed in the glasses adopted her & got her voice lessons to learn how to TALK & SING. PLEASE react to Diana Human. Then to hear her regular voice react to her sing Tomorrow Is A Lie. In that song Dimash's partner Igor Krutoy is playing the piano. This is his show for kids that had a hard life. After she was finished being on the show Igor paid for an apartment in Moscow for Diana & her adoptive family. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓
